Sam's Fall & Winter Grow 2018

Looks pretty frosty to me...I have no idea what y'all are complaining about.

We weren't complaining. Only expressing the fact that the camera's don't capture frost well. Maybe it's my 8 y/o digital camera. I have been messing with it and got it to take some decent shots with the white balance adjustment similar to the DSLR's. I am not spending money on a camera when I can spend it on seeds.

Update on the White Widow DWC 19 from 12/12 flip. Nutrient ratios are set for early flower. I added liquid Kool Bloom with the last res change and upped the CalMag to 1.5ml/gal to shut down the calcium deficiency that I had. PH is stable 5.9-6.0 and the res temps are still 75f and under. She laid into the stretch this last week. I hope she is about done so I don't run out of headroom in the small tent.

She ended up filling up the 2.5 X 2.5 side to side nicely.

Her tops are more level than this picture shows. I am tall and the tent is small and tucked back in the closet under the stairs so it is hard to get a good angle on it for pictures.

The little DWC girl is running tent temps 70-80F lights off to lights on. Inside the tent is running low 40's to low 50's RH and water temps in the bucket are roughly 73-75F.

Perfect another mate was saying his water was like 68f I said might want to get up to at least 70 his we’re small though not sure if that matters or not in dwc?

Good temps so your temp fluxUates during the day but within the 12 f zone .

Well DWC is a little different. The optimum temperature for cannabis roots is 67-77F. Algae and bacteria love warmth. Keeping the water in the DWC reservoir at 68 helps keep the stuff we don't want from growing in there. People use chillers to keep the temps down in RDWC.

In just DWC or just a bucket, with no seperate reservoir it it is difficult to run a chiller as there is no room for a pump and it would clog with roots. The temps can climb higher than we want when the lights are on. That is why we have to use products like Z7 to eat the nasty stuff when the temps get higher. In DWC ideal temps are 67 to 74. I drop frozen water bottles in my bucket every day before lights on to help keep the temps down when the lights hit the black bucket and lid.

Damn those are all gonna be some real top shelf buds.. dwc looks fun I'd like to try it out sometime. Beautiful plants Sam that white widow looks gorgeous as well. Would love to visit that giant house jungle.. sounds so cool!

Just hooked it up and calibrated it. Easy peasy. Main reason I bought this instead of the pens is I am starting to set up an RDWC system for the next grow. It's really cool to walk by the tent and know at a glance what is going on in the bucket.

That's one hell of a grow you got going now. The buds look amazing. I love the meter you got as well. I might have to get one of those. It's a lot easier than opening up the buckets everyday to stick a pen in them.

Thank Haystack. The big tent is my current coco grow. I am just doing the one WW in a DWC bucket. I can't wait to see how yours turns out.
