Sabo's 2nd Grow Darkstar Project One Plant Only

THE FOLLOWING PROGRAM HAS BEEN DELAYED DUE TO A VERY UNFORTUNATE EVENT:

Well, my gardening buddy got to the "Best of the East". Will start to germinate another seed.

:rip::rip::rip:
Dookie got to digging around on the "Beast from the East" when I wasn't paying attention.

Hi Sabo - no wonder 'Reply with quote' wouldn't work - you were changing it.

Shame about the delay

Damn SABO sorry to hear about the bad news. No animals in the grow room! Or at least never turn your back on them in the grow room. Your veg spot is the shiznit! You know with all that leaf clutter I bet there is good microbial activity already in the soil. I bet you could innocculate once with Mycorrhiza then you'll probably be good with mostly fresh water. An occasional water with earth worm casting or kelp meal is probably all you'll need. That would be if you were planting directly in the ground. Were you planning on flowering in a tent? Do you have another seed lined up?

The Capitol Offense occurred outside the grow room. The other Ladies that I have 3 weeks from harvest were sleeping in the tent, because they are in a reduced light cycle. So the Beast of the East comes Indoors and sits on the patio window to get the last 1 1/2 of rays.

Well, I let my Grow Buddy run around for about a hour, he usually doesn't go to the patio room but tonight he did. Those little buggers love dirt and that is exactly what he did. DIG! It was my fault, so all I am doing is soaking another seed overnight, plant tomorrow evening in dirt, get out the heat seed mat & I have a new one to start with in 48-72 hours. I never wait for the tap root to show. If it's a viable seed, it will sprout!

Right now, I am test sampling some bud from my 1st Grow to consul my loss, it's pretty good, but I'm going to let it go another 3 weeks to maximize to the full potential.

Gotta pretty dang good buzz going on right now. :yummy:

SABO, I love ferrets. We use to have one. They love to play when they're not sleeping but they do tamper with everything.

Damn ferrets sure know how to hide shit well too!
Oh, you know. Ours had me lock in the apt. one day for the whole afternoon when she hid my keys. LOL...

T-minus 19hrs until showtime everyone.

what is that thing! I had always heard the rumors about possums' wraighpping cats,

but this? now we have all seen that it is no longer just a rumor.

I must get word out to all FB members, WITH the picture of that capossum that has just been hijacked.

sorry for your loss:rip:

Wait until Mr Squiryl (Rico's half breed) sees that thing! His cat was also attacked

In regards to the perpetrator, it is an "On-Topic Theme", since this cantankerous long time friend of mine really didn't mean nothing, he was just having some good ole fun!

Hey, it only slowed this thing down by a couple of days, so it's no sweat off my back, and it's really just Nature's way.

She Giveth & She Taketh.

Thank you Trichs for the condolences, Rico helped me get him into the Off-Topic pet forum. I also read Mr Squirly's journal. I loved that!

:Namaste:

rico's very good at his job, now we both have journals were censored within their first 2 days

lmao, i thought for sure you did not know of Rico & his well dressed squiryl, lol

so you're telling me that you own the "pet", that killed, not only that plant, but the great momentum of this journal?

please PM me a pic of his fresh grave, or should you decide he will be forgiven for this treacherous act, PM me the device that you will be using to hold his mouth shut, I looked for capossum muzzles on-line, they don't have any, just use any household tape to get your drying buds, thru the night safely.

Calyx,

I didn't even answer your other questions, am a little :tokin: from my Test Sample. Sorry!

Yeah, it's a good spot, isn't it! Looked for that spot since January. Went out once a week at different times in the day, just to keep checking it out. Followed the sun at different times of the day. Lots of brush, jaggers, dead tree limbs, leaves, overhead cover, but full access to the sun from dawn to dusk!

It has great topsoil, but after 6'' inches it is all clay! I would love to put her in the ground, but we do get early frosts & I think it's better that I finish her up inside. If it turns into an Indian Summer, well I just might let her go "All the Way" if it looks good enough!

Yeah, seed is soaking now, 72 hours we'll be back in action!

:Namaste:

Ferrets, possums, cats...I know how to fix those issues. As I am making a conscious effort to not getting moderated (Happened last night---my new grow journal has a different name from when I started it last night), I'll hold my tongue.

Sorry about the loss. Really sucks. Luckily it worked out in your advantage time-frame wise. It'd be a pity to have that happen half way + flowering cycle.

So, the new bean, is it another DarkStar? I'd love to see you grow that strain as it is one on my "Christmas List" to try out.

Wishing you much luck in all your future endeavors.

:Namaste:

Nice comments all, Thank you for some great information about your experiences with TGA & Dr. Earth's line of products! Another very good friend of mine (He's eating :popcorn:now & I know he's watching somewhere) is also a very big fan of Dr. Earth's products.

7 Gallon Pot:

2 Cups Azomite

15 Gallon Smart Pot:

1 cup Azomite.

I think that's a lot of azomite for the size pots.

I think it's like 1/4 cup per 5 gal,

If you have the big Agway bag and it's cheap I don't think it would hurt, but if you are buying it 2 lb at a time on the net it could get expensive.

I forgot to mix it in when I was building my last soil, but it is reused soil with some in already, so I just added a table spoon at the base of the transplant hole. And I will top dress or add some to a tea in a few weeks

I am a big fan of Super Soil!

I used it in my first grow, and it's really awesome stuff. I am currently using it now. I will be getting some Scientific Soil here in the next week or so that I am looking forward to trying, but I think there is a good chance I'll go back, and most likely will grow plants next to the one in science dirt. :)

150+ posts and you don't even have a seed in the dirt.:party::slide::slide:
Damn SABO are you sure you aren't in marketing??:peace::love::rip:

Yeah Rado.

All this fuss & nothing to show for it, "What the Hell" Ole Sabo says!. But Sabo says, "Yes, I am into Marketing/Sales, because I run my own small successful business".

Thanks Hash Hound,

I'll have to ask PeeJay, I have a basic understanding as to how all of the ingredients are supposed to work together to provide the proper environment, but I have so much more to learn about it.

SweetLeef,

No doubt that is awesome. I went to their web-site to find a retailer near me, not one in a radius of 450 miles! I also emailed them after I saw that they do take orders online, but couldn't find the shipping charges. I emailed them, but as of yet, Good Ole Sabo is waiting on a response.

Okay, soaked my replacement Darkstar seed overnight in some reservoir water & has just been placed into the solo cup. I buried the seed 3/4'' down and gently covered it up and patted it down just a tad. I misted a Zip lock baggy & tied it around the neck of the solo cup, placed it on the seed heating mat and under a CFL. I'll leave it that way for 24 hrs & if it warms up enough tomorrow, out the door it goes to pop her little head out of the dirt.

One thing about the reservoir water that I use, is that it is spring fed & I go down there to draw my water 20 gallons at a time. One thing you have to be careful with around here is, there are only 2 reasons that people draw spring water for in my neck of the woods. One is for cannabis & the other is for use in another concoction that I use to make a more traditional style of "Hillbilly" substance for medicinal purposes only.

Gotta be real careful drawing water. LEO isn't dumb in these parts.
