Royale Haze Soil 150w HPS Closet Grow

I use extra long pipe cleaners from the craft store, wrap one near the top and then pull down so that the top is a few inches lower than the bend you create, sort of like a cane shape. tie it down to the pot some how or to a lower branch. You will be amazed at how fast the tip turns up and how fast other branches grow to be the dom bud

Yes, I have 2 journals running right now, it's good to meet you, stop by and hang out/we need new people in that group/. I think TC said he was going to sleep, not sure if it was him or not, I will check/grace

well best way is a pm or come hit me up on my journal if you need my blatherings! nice to meeet u 2 grace do you have a journal?,,im wondering where tg has vanished to i got a frantic msg earlier....

Looks like he's offline at the moment, that was someone else who said they were going to hit the sack/ I enjoy meeting new people all the time, so glad to meet you, I sent a friend request your way/talk at ya later Big Irish/grace

Just got back home.... Had a few errands to run. I got some twine to tie her up. I am crazy as I grew a monster indoors... Lesson learned. Thank you for all the replies. I will be up bright and early to begin the tying. I have to drill some holes in the top of the pot. I hope I do this right as I only have about 16" more inches of room unless I modify the closet, which would give me another 2 feet above the 16". If I am lucky I will tie her up and still need the extra 2 feet. I did not expect this much stretch so early. I am glad I am a noob.

Hey there bro I have 2 DelaHaze...they are also 10ft monsters. i intend to prune the bottoms bare (as i take clones). This is the way i will be LSTing mine so height isnt an issue, this should make a very dense plant. a spiral in this method if used on BIG pots would allow you to insert a couple of t5's verticaly down the eye of the vortex ;)

Also please note that the method of lst i use allows any thickness girth to be done, just use material stronger than clingfilm when trying to bend trees, lol. what matters is the turning of the pencil a little bit every other day, this will definatly bend the plant and in such a gentle way at to almost remove any stress at all.

The Photo's are from my first attempt to lst in grow 1 or 2.

the hand drawn picture is just for you, lol.

anchors = the clingfilm twisties
Clamp = More perminant fixture when angle achieved ( or you will use up all availible anchor space)
When talking about bending the plant, i mean a mixture of pressure from the clingfilm anchors AND moving your lights to encourage the plant to go that direction of its own will!

The first anchor you just tighten till it takes the strain of the opposing anchor.
The sencond anchor is the one you tighten to drive the plant horizontal.

once the plant has completed the first turn, you drop a cane right deep into the pot (they need to be fairly strong and immobile).
Stake down the stem at the next turn by the cane and release anchor 2. anchor 1 will remain in place the entire grow (may need to be replaced/resized as time goes by)

once you have started the turnes, it should be easy to guide the plant around the canes with new anchors and clamps where needed, (remembering to remove the anchors once you have chosen the correct angle/bend.

The reason i use clinfilm is to spread the pressure over a greater area, doing less damage to the plant overall, worst case scenario with something like twine, is a strong plant may hang itself on one (the string cuts into the stem and the plant grows its flesh around the string. i imagine plants like foreign bodies inside itself as much as we do, lol

since they are getting big and strong stems Gigs plan is a good one. or maybe you can try this if you happen to have a old fishing reel take a bread twist tie or pipe cleaner and tie the line from the reel to either then attatch it up higher on the plant as Gracie suggested then crank the reel a little bit come back a little bit later and repeat till you get a nice bend. also if you do Lst anyone of the ways that have been suggested do it a little while after you water that will help keep it more flexable:circle-of-love:

I tied her down with only one issue... One main stem did snap, sadly it was the third branch I tied off. It should be fine as it did not become a complete break. I was able to drop the light about 8-10" and decreased plant height by about 1/3 to 1/2 Only time will tell. Here are the goods.....

Not bad for taking 45 mins. I hope that this all goes well. I like the candy cane look. Hopefully it yields more candy.

I want candy!

Very good, I think that snapped branch will be alright, I did also had that happen, what you'll see is a thickening at that poiint, kind of like a swelling knuckle, it's stress, but stress is good for the plant, Good job/grace

I think that I might have been very over zealous when doing the tying off. I actually ended up super cropping 3 branches by the time it was all said and done. I did not notice this until I got home. A good note is a ton of preflowers are showing 2 hairs. So with the little lady working her magic I hope she resists going hermie. Only time will tell. I am glad I have you guys. :thanks: :420:

She is still looking good today. All the tops are turning back up to the light. The new growth/branches that are now exposed to the light are growing well. Seeing a lot of hairs at the nodes. The stretch has stopped for now. Looks like everything will be fine. No nuts yet. So overall I am pretty happy. I am already debating which strain I will grow next and think I will be trying the GDP or Rocklock.

Things are still looking good here. I will get photos in the morning.

Here is how we are looking on Day 9 of flower. I think I am okay but open for suggestions.
