A little update for the 4x4

If I had to guess it looks like all three gorilla zkittles clones are closer to a veg state of growth and will root. Feancos lemon cheese #1 looks good, #2 not so sure and #4 I’m thinking won’t make it.

I just checked back in this journal and August 28th is when I took cuttings and fired up the cloner. Five of the six have shoots coming up with new leaves along with root growth. I’m probably gonna give em a little food in the next watering.

Here’s a sample of the developing roots In 1L air pots.

After today I’m probably hitting the local hydro store tomorrow to change grow mediums before my seedlings and cuttings need to transplant out of their 1L pots.

Fed all the girls with a grow fert at ph 6.0 and 350 ppm. The runoff was staggering. PH well above 7 and one of the clones runoff was 4,400 ppm. This is the same ppm meter I used to mix the grow fert so I know it’s calibrated. Most of the others were around 2-3000 ppm. Wtf?

Anyway, 6 gallons of leaching later, I have 3 seedlings and 5 cuttings down to a more respectable range.

The seedlings ended up at ph 6.8 and 380 ppm. The cuttings came in at 6.8 and 550 ppm.

Sat back and thought about how I’m going to fit the seedlings and clones into the next flowering grow. I won’t have space begin to open up in the flowering tent for another 5 weeks or so. There’s zero chance my 4x4 will hold four seedlings and five clones for at least another five weeks.

So today I held a funeral. Complete with music and pics. The video below is the song I asked wifey to play while I laid them to rest.

Now I’m off to tend to the remaining six vermin. Sadly I have one more big change to make for them so I’ll be back with more about that in a bit. I’ll have pics of the change as well.

Alright now I got this next group set up under the 315w cmh bulb/ballast. Six plants should be fun to manage in a 4x4 tent for the next several weeks. So here’s what the final six look like.

Seriously though thank you. To be honest 6 is going to fill that 4x8 easily if I hold this group back in veg until the first Franco finishes around the first week of November. That’s good because it gives C99 time to mature but man those will be screaming to get out of the 4x4 before the 4x8 clears out!

Forgot to mention earlier that today the little ones ended their 24 hrs of light streak. Today they had their first 6 hour dark period and will be 10pm lights on and 4pm lights off.

That they did my good man. I had shut them down at 4pm earlier this afternoon and just woke them up an hour ago. They definitely look refreshed.

still can’t believe how well the clones are looking. Gives me confidence when I decide to try again later.

I usually only til the two tallest branches and then once they are all closer to the same height I super crop. Really like the way super cropping stacks the bud sites.
