Ripe1 Grow2 Lunar Planting NYC Turbo Diesel & Cheese CFL & LED In Soil

Re-read your journal because I wanted to digest your astrology and plant life....Interesting read.
With that in mind, have you seen the series on water?
Dr Emoto's experiments on observing the physical effect of words, prayers, music and environment on the crystalline structure of water are pretty mind blowing.
Scorpio here btw :)

I have! I speak love into my ice trays now! I am about to explain a ton on the Lunar Grow, (which I will continue to call it such for reasons of people being able to understand/relate to it better, but it is actually Biodynamics) very soon. It is really versatile, and I am becoming less and less skeptical.

Day23

Everything is awesome in the tent of doom. It has turned a new leaf. Only more leaves to report. Finally a little stretch on the plants. Bad news from Amazon. My order was delayed. My pots were supposed to be here tomorrow. Improvise again. Tomorrow and Saturday are flower days. That is when I need to transplant.

The shed dropping knowledge bombs! I'm a little flattered you use me as an example....

I agree! Your doing great, but may be time for a quick snip!

You may even be able to go one node higher, and strip and bury the main stem some

Interesting approach. What do you gain by burying more stem at this stage besides more time before it gets too tall?
Glad you asked shed...

From what I understand, after being in a dark damp environment, the stalks and stems will begin to soften and produce roots. Exactly how a clone would. You can even fill your pot above the first node, then after a few weeks dig between the main stalk and the growth, and carefully cut and transplant. The plant releases hormones that tell it to produce roots when stems and stalks get buried. The opposite is also true and white root will become wooded once exposed to light and significant amount of air.

Interdasting, but I would imagine that producing an entire new set of roots between the previous and new soil level will take its toll on topside growth while it does it, no? You would need to factor that into veg time and balance it against the increase in root mass.

Alright Fellers. I'll top them and wait to transplant...as long as when I look at the bottom of the pots this evening, they aren't too root bound. As mentioned before, the pots they went into aren't much bigger than the solo cups they came from and a couple of days ago I could see some of the NYCTDs' roots heading to the bottom. The new pots might be 2 inches deeper and wider. However, as of 6 A.M. this morning, we are in what Biodynamic gardening calls a "Flower Day". There are 4 types of days/plant types; Root, Fruit, Leaf and Flower. They also consider a combo of Fruit/Seed Days (anything that produces seed that you wish to use the seed from the fruit, leaf or flower, or you can use, for instance, the flower and the seed, which changes what days you do things and I'll describe more on that later too. Flowers, (wonder what group we are in?, which includes edible flowers, kitchen and medicinal herbs), Root (potatoes, radishes, carrots)Fruit (Strawberries, Apples, Peaches), and Leaf (Lettuce, Spinach and the like.) These days last 2-4 days depending on what sign the moon is in.

So on Flower Days is when you and I should work on the garden and do major things like topping, transplanting or planting. Bugs and tilling have their own days (later discussion). They also recommend a time for transplanting, based on your hemisphere when the moon is waning, thus pulling sap and energy into the earth aiding in root establishment. The Northern Hemisphere Transplant Time, referred to as NHTT starts Monday the 29th, which also coincides with a flower day. If I top today, I am hoping that will slow the roots a bit, giving the plant and I time to recover and prepare for transplant next Monday. Objections, sarcasm or general mal-contentedness should be expressed before 6P.M. West Coast Time!

I dunno?!?! Good point! May be worth a test at some point... but I assume it would slightly slow growth. Look at us go with our scientific debate lol.

Test we shall, I'll let an extra live to see what happens. Slowing growth right now would be fine given the pot situation with Amazon.

Yeah you have a ways to go to be root bound I think... but I have a girl in veg dying . better rinse some coco. You need some fabric pots?

Well I've got 7 hours to get my attitude sharpened! Seriously though, if the dates matter then you might be better off with MadDab's suggestion of stripping off lower growth and transplanting deeper. That way you can get the transplant done on Flower Day and give yourself some time to recover before you top. Or you could do half and half and see who ends up producing more. For SCIENCE!

If you haven't done it yet you should have a wall calendar with key dates on it so you can time your future transplants and training so they don't conflict.

Yes! We be some academic theorizers here!

I hope so. What is she dying of? I do need fabric pots. Mine have been delayed. They are on the way though. If I'm not transplanting tonight, I have to wait 9 days for the NHTT to come around again so I'll be fine. I wanted my glasses. Oh well. We all must wait.
