Rifleman's Roost Open 24/7: Perpetually Perplexed

So here's the deal. Roscoe says the Mephisto tribe is lagging and I mucked it up from the start. He's angry and I don't blame him. To soothe the ol dog's case of the ass, I'm dropping some DDA beans today. I'll pick four of these to go into Rapid Rooters and my new dwc buckets in the 4x4. The goal this year was to get way ahead of the needs, and that isn't going to happen if I sit on my hands. Once these start to take off I'll find room where ever I can for the Mephistos. Hopefully there will still be time enough to run another crop through the 4x4 before warm weather next year. :)

Sweet! :high-five:

Just wandering through, trying to get my ass out the door and headed home. Pitt has nice public spaces and this one's been especially cozy today. Alright girl, get to it! I can hit the vape pen as I walk back down Heartbreak Hill. :blunt:

Catch you later. You're running out of headroom. What's the plan?

I can just squeeze in a 54" girl. BTDT last season. :) If she gets any larger than that I'll supercrop the main cola.

Rifleman, Have you thought about doing a scrog screen with only a few plants.... You'll be amazed at the yield you can get...

Hey DrF, I scrogged a single sativa last year. A 27 gallon dwc tote and a 40x40 inch screen. 440g dry bud. It's somewhere early in this journal I think. :) It was actually more work than I like to put into them. I'm a lazy grower who would rather let Mother Nature take her course.

lol same here. I supercropped and trained my first two grows and scrogged the third and to be honest i didnt notice an appreciable difference in yield. You can keep a nice flat canopy without all the strings and things. Maybe if i had a larger area...

a never ending mantra echoing down the halls of 420Mag.... I contribute to the cacophony often myself.

I was crying the same tune last year. Bought an extra 4x4......and again this year I'm wishing for more room. I don't think I'll be happy until I have a warehouse grow. :biglaugh:

Again ! :yikes: I'm going to have to max out the light height. AU2 surpassed the breeders claimed height last night. She measured 42.5 inches this morning. :) All my other plants are stacked up on cut 2x4s to keep the canopy even. As if....:biglaugh:

Stats are below. If anyone has a question, suggestion, or criticism, feel free to fire away. Our ears and mind are always open. :) :peace:

SS1 day 42, 31.5", given 5 qts, ppm before 960, ppm after 786

SS2 day 42, 30.75", given 4 qts, ppm before 892, ppm after 779

AU1 day 41, 34.5", given 4 qts, ppm before 843, ppm after 766

AU2 day 41, 42.5", given 5 qts, ppm before 875, ppm after 755

Shame and disgust have kept me from posting photos of the Mephisto girls. A quick look at them and you'll understand why I'm firing up the dwc buckets and possibly scraping this grow. I'm hoping the Dark Devil seeds crack by morning, if so I'll include photos with tomorrow's measurements. :peace:

It wouldn't be fair if I only shared my successful endeavors now would it ?

Ya know, we all learn from our..... oh fuck that shit.... sorry baby, I feel your pain. The next batch will make you proud again no doubt. Spring will be around soon enough and you and Roscoe can wander the green babies spread hither and yon once again.
We all look forward to joining you on those journeys and we'll also join you in ignoring the occasion ugliness.

No it wouldn't. Big fan of transparency. I don't want people to go away thinking what we do is all artificial sunshine and butterflies. :laughtwo:

To what do you attribute their total disregard of the directive to thrive?

They may make you proud yet plants are sneaky like that sometimes .. behind one minute ahead the next.

Although that mini me looks a little small (at this point) to turn around very strongly .. its a fighter

There we go...
Sorry about your misfortune with the M clan but you will knock it out of the park next time. There is, of course, a chance this grow could turn around.

Thanks for the encouraging words folks. I don't think there will be any turning around on these girls. Not a big deal. Once the new buckets are running I'll put these off to the side and harvest what ever they produce.

Sue I'm sure it was due to over watering in the solo cups as babies, and then the late transplant to the final pots. The reason I grow in dwc is because I'm such a clown when it comes to hand watering. :biglaugh:

What a way to spend a Friday morning, helping a couple of beautiful young ladies trying on training bras. :goof: My AU plants got the pipe cleaner treatment today. I'm hoping to support the longer branches before they fatten up and start swaying in the breeze. I've had to raise the light again, and add water. The AUs grew 2.5 inches each last night, and SS1 drank 5 quarts....and she isn't even in heavy bloom yet. I've moved the fan a little bit to maybe alleviate her thirst. :) Stats and photos below, click on them for a larger view.
