Rider509: Two Thais & G13

The temp controller hasn't arrived yet but I doubt I'll need it. The system seems to be in stasis with the res at 69F. That's disappointing because I really wanted some headroom to handle the additional heat of the lights when things get turned up to 11. I'm still considering ripping the fridge apart so I can drop the evap coils right in the glycol.

The Thai/Skunk was showing tap roots so they got moved up. Fingers crossed for females!

The final iteration for the F Series strips. I stepped up to 3/8" all-thread and used 3/8" ID aluminum tube as spacers. It looks better and is a lot more stable. Now to convert the other one. Oh joy.

That may be the ticket. It's a good little fridge and while I don't need it it'd be a shame to destroy it. I could probably sell it as a dorm fridge.

Because the heat in the tent is transferred to the water in the totes, which then flows back to the reservoir.

I found a chiller calculator and it looks like a 1/5th hp chiller will keep up with the ambient temp in the tent even with the lights banging hard. I had killer results running about 1200ppfd and 80 degrees with CO2 on the Gold Leaf grow. The tent is only running 73 degrees now so the problem of nutrient temperature will only become more pronounced as the plants grow and I start increasing the power to the lights.

I bit the bullet and picked up a "Used: As New" 1/4hp chiller from Amazon. I'll send the coil and temp control switch back and sell the fridge to offset the cost. There's too much at stake, like my sanity. I was fricking calculating total tote surface areas and thermal conduction through plastic in my dreams last night. I double checked my numbers with a calculator this morning and I got it pretty damned close considering I was estimating surface sizes but I need to see this issue resolved.

One of the reasons I don't use cannabis is that I get locked into a weird feedback loop in my dreams and I can't work through shit. It's like my brain does a reset at the same stage of thought. It's insanely frustrating.

Oh jesus, no. Even the thought of getting high is unpleasant. It doesn't do the warm fuzzy thing to me at all. My brain must be wired differently.
 
I was working in the grow room and I thought, "I have a dream, that one day res temps and tent temps will live in harmony."

Then I started thinking about King's words and became curious enough to sit down and reread his epic speech. What a punch in the gut. And what a sad abuse by me of that man's words.

But still... :)
