Renegade's Hydro Flux - Featuring TwiLight Group's 432 Watt Spider COB LED

Fluxy looks superb mate, I hope a hydro guy comes in & helps you out :)

Not yet but someone put me on AquaShield....which has been discontinued...lol. But they sent me HyroGuard which came in on Friday. Did res change out this morning and she is taking a nap right now. Up at 1800.

Pics of res change out coming. In my local spot medicating.

If she needs another hair cut in the 2nd day we could say the Spider is the reason but we will wait till the 3rd day to do so....

So I guess I'll see you guys on Wednesday....unless you catch me in your yards....LOL.

Might have been me, but could have been someone else!

I cant preach Aquashield enough.. Botanicare has actually changed the name.. again.. it supposedly USED to be called hydroguard, then a bunch of countries banned its import, so they changed the name again, allowing its sale for 12 months before being banned again. This is what the Hydro shop owner told me the second he got off the phone with his Botanicare rep. Regardless, Hydroguard looks to have been upgraded to a more potent form of the bacterial strain Bacillus, rather than a variety of less potent strains of Bacillus like aquashield is composed of.

Either way, this stuff kicks ass. You will see results, for sure.

Glad you chimed in Green and since your owning up to it let me ask ....lol.

What are the true benefits?

No longer need to be concerned with res temps? Which still seem to run high. At about 79-82.

Other then that what?

What are your measurements per gallon? I started with 2ml per.

Quick update....

Sorry no before pics I got home late.

She was still bushy but not as much as normally but I attribute that to the arms being longer.

I'm getting bored...LOL. This Flux thingy is soooo time consuming.... I promise to try and see it thru.

At this point there are 20 potential cola sites. That includes the main flux arms.

About another 30 days and we'll go vertical.

This is her after tonight's hair cut....

I think 20 arms is plenty on your 1st flux Renegade, I keep losing count on mine but it's way too many to control & keep tidy

I kinda agree with you Skunny.

Gonna run her a couple more weeks to give her a full 60 days of training. See where we stand. That way it will give everyone a milestone to compare with. Then I will begin stalling the first few branches so the late arrives have a chance to catch up. That alone may take a coupe weeks. That puts us going verticals around the first of September.

And I need 8" of vertical before flipping to 12/12. That should put me at the end of September. 2 months of bloom puts me in December with a Christmas harvest.

Just came up with that in my head and that's my time line.

He he! :) Stick at it and enjoy the rewards! you are doing a great job and I like that your going to set a bench mark time wise. As for having to many limbs???? Lol its not hard work its just good fun! :) :)

Yes Sir Professor!!! Lol....

Too many limbs...did I say that... Lol. But really this thing is at 20 (including the flux arm split). It's overall length is less then 12". No way near the res rim. Can you imagine if I get her out to the rim. Double maybe more limbs.

Patience is becoming my crutch (nemesis)...lol.

We'll see how she looks at the end of her two month training (another 2 weeks).

Hey LA, myself & Payton have been wondering why we can't defol our fluxes. What happens if we do?

Skunny and Payton this is how I understand it....

Defol along the horizontal part of the arms. Once you go vertical you do not defol the vertical part of the arm. Continue to defol the horizontal part.

The main reason for this is the size of the colas. Remember the colas also build up from the bottom. As the shoots bud out/up this fills in.

Professor???

OK lol, with a flux its correct that you keep all laterals stripped. When going vert I first let the plant build foliage for speed of vert growth. Then I hit my girls maybe twice with an organised fairly big defol. Also smaller more selective defol on the secondary shoots from cola sites.
Then defol in flower is again maybe 2 big hits and some as and when on a smaller scale.
I use my own sort of loose variation of the great work done by Bassman!
