Regrowth: Growing Clones & Getting Stoned

Hey @bluter I'm happy to have you here. You're a LED and MegaCrop guru from what I've seen.
I tried to delete that picture again and upon save it was back. It's haunted.

I started mixing the nutes a day before a few weeks back because I noticed the balls in the MC don't dissolve properly otherwise. The single reservoir is a bit of a pain, I'm thinking of switching to a two bucket system so I'm not toping off with chlorinated water constantly. It almost defeats the purpose.

chlorinated is ok. most of it off gasses in that open container. adding the airstone will nullify it faster. most plants can handle a little chlorine. some even like a little.

passive systems and hand watering are great with the one part version. don't stress over stuff that doesn't dissolve, just stir the stuff up good before feeding. the two-part mc system is designed for active systems.

your looking good. stay the course. there is a bump in the road about mid flower in mc, but it all works out if you don't panic.

Looking good Reggie. That net should keep your colas happy all the way!

Wait, there’s a bump in the road? Here’s me riding the rumble strip. I thought it was potholes all the way! ;)

Thanks DD. I never clued in that you were running MC too. Neat. I haven't went over the recommended dose yet.
I'm giving them 11.5g / 8L and I'll probably go up to 12.5ish at some point and then work my way back down a bit mid flower? Prepare me for this mid flower thing. lol

So it's now been 2 weeks since they were flipped and the MOABs in the back seem to be doing great.
I really wish the GSCs would stretch a bit and catch up. The light is more than 20inch from them and the bulk of the growth is bellow the screen. I'll probably do a small defoliation on the girls at day 21 but I can't help but thinking maybe I stunted the GSCs a bit.

They really are awful @Trala. I think if I only had one plant it wouldn't be such an issue.
I've seen some other members piece together some portable SCROGs that attach to the containers instead of the tent and those seems a lot better off. With the 4 in the same net I really struggle to water. I'll also struggle to do the defoliation and I'll be in hell if the bugs ever return.
I didn't mind it too much during veg since I could remove the net and not risk ruining the buds.
It did help train them to be the shape they are and overall was a low effort way to do LST.

Your set up looks mint :)

I bought a scrog net, omg even the word sounds awful. So close to scrag, which is an insult here. I had every intention of using it but quickly realised it is not the grow style for me.

Thankfully I seem to have my nits under control. Fingers crossed you do too.

Tomorrow is day 21.

MOLD?!
This is probably my fault for not having the plants raised off the drip trays and messing up the wet / dry watering process. I'll try to get this sorted asap. Really, all I can think of to put under there are soup cans lol. Can this lead to a PM outbreak, root rot or is it a less of a traumatizing experience? I'm thinking of maybe doing a spray down of the fabric containers with the DOKTOR DOOM. It does mention it's useful for PM treatment but also since scrubbing would likely spread the spores around. I've got a bit of peroxide left too.
I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

No, it's not snow...

Is that a window or a door? Snow is up to your window?!
:high-five: Nice. Long warm days indoors with buds.

The mold, when it’s me (and from time to time it is) I’ll brush it off then pour a little water over it and brush it again. If your concern is spreading spores it can be done outside (if you have an upstairs door).
H2O2, bleach and such will affect the herd. If you’re not seeing signs of root rot you’re ok (I’ve been wrong before, but lucky too maybe?)

On another note, the LED you recommended arrived yesterday. :thanks: for your help. It’s going to make a huge difference.

So, day 21. Is that from flip or from flower? Once you know stretch has stopped you might want to thin the canopy a little?

Ok, the last picture is snow. That's the door to my balcony with it up to my waist... and proof that I'm a bad tenant who doesn't own a shovel. Care to step outside?

I was going to message you earlier and ask if your light arrived. I can't wait to see what it can do for you and the stable.

Thanks for the reassurance @DonkeyDick, you make it seem somewhat benign.
Hopefully it is. I was thinking of defoliating in the next few days.

Tomorrow is day 21 since the flip. The pistol onset happened fast and within 7 days of flipping they were both flowering. It looks like the GSCs stretched a bit in the last week whereas the MOBs not so much. One thing I notice is that the node spacing on the MOB is a lot tighter than it was in the summer time where I ran most of the cycle outdoors. Hopefully it means some nice colas.

Omggggggg

Looks so beautiful and your plants look a bit of alright too.

Where are you on this fabulous globe of ours?

As far as mould goes I know mould hates a lack of humidity and a breeze so I’d be thinking one of those humidifier things that take the water out of the air. I bought one off gumtree for $50 and it’s been a game changer, and another fan.

It's hard to tell from the pictures but I believe the MOB is starting to turn purple.
Hopefully she'll take on that awesome pastel color I remember from the summer.
The room temperature drops bellow 15c at night and I'm not sure I want to go out of the way to fix it with a portable heater. The smell at the moment is exactly how I remember it; It reeks of grape soda. It's somewhat odd that it cures to a blueberry smell.

The GSC is still stubby and dense, I didn't do much in the way of defoliation.
I do however wish it would've stretched a little more. Maybe I should angle my light so it's closer to them. lol

Snuck some calmag into their last feeding because the gscs were yellowing a bit.
Washed the fabric containers with a bit of vinegar to deal with the mold issue.
Words.
