Sending hood vibes Sparkey!I'm going Coco for God sakes... hell, Nine clones are going to catch my seedlings and we planted the seeds around the same time..
Crazy bro!! That's real talk though looking great brother!
Complete insanity!But i believe.
LC-18 is a cross of two landrace sativas from the KwaZulu province in South Africa. Was thinking today that I really should do more background investigating on the smaller details of these strains individually...
Thankfully we have a forum to do so...
@StoneOtter Can you give a bit of genealogy of Cherries Dubilee? Maybe some insight into plant size/structure, possible terp profiles...
I'm seeing plant #2 as a Cherries pheno
Any info you wanna share about the cross, and why you selected these parents would be great.
@Lerugged same for you growmie.... Any background you'd like to share about LC18 would be awesome.
I'm guessing plant #1, #3, and #4 are expressing LC18 traits?
Much love y'all!
Appreciate the info @Lerugged Thank you!LC-18 is a cross of two landrace sativas from the KwaZulu province in South Africa.
The mother is Miss Sticky, a landrace that comes from the foot of the Drakensberg mountains. Origionally collected in 1940.
The father is Wild Lady which comes from the same province but from an area which is right on the Mozambique border. Origionally collected 1946.
Here is some info from my website:
The LC- 18 is a cross of two top class landrace plants. She will flower late in the season outdoors. Grows long arm branches that fill out with flowers almost all the way to the bottom of the branches. Two phenotypes are most common with this strain. One is lanky with long internodes and more delicate branching. The other is slightly squatter, with less space in between the nodes. The lankier of the two phenotypes provides looser and smaller buds, however, this phenotype has an incredible high and is considered the more potent of the two. That said, the denser phenotype is nothing to laugh at.
LC-18 has a very high resistance to drought, mold, high temperatures and, excessive wind speeds. Growers would really need to try hard to kill her.
Yields outdoors can hit around 700g to 1kg (yes, this strain can get massive in the ground) in an ideal environment but, most often plants will yield around 350g to 450g. Indoors, yield is dependent on how long she is vegged for, as well as how well the grower is able to get a flat canopy going with many tops. Both phenotypes are ideal for scrogging. A longer veg period with a lot of training will give the grower the best quality and yield.
Flowering time is generally around the 9-to-10-week mark outdoors. Indoors is closer to 9 weeks. The buds are fairly tight for sativa but, not nearly as plump as an indica or hybrid. She is a real example of a pure sativa. Flowers are very resinous, and scents include pine, earth and sandalwood. She smells very much like a sauna does.
The high is crystal clear and both euphoric and energetic and, will last more than a few hours if grown optimally and harvested when the majority of trichomes are milky. If growers can harvest in this window, the comedown is not noticeable and does not leave the consumer tired or foggy.
Sure can! Cherried DubeLee started out as a whorled, or triple growing Wedding Cake from Black Skull seeds. Can you give a bit of genealogy of Cherries Dubilee? Maybe some insight into plant size/structure, possible terp profiles...
The last "undecided" plant has decided to show pistils since the video. LoL
Looking like the CDXLC18 went 4 for 4 female.
Oh yeah!Sure can! Cherried DubeLee started out as a whorled, or triple growing Wedding Cake from Black Skull seeds.
Then I put some pollen from a Chunky Cherry Thai from Kingdom of Seeds. Nug o the month, chunky cherry thai.
And Chunky Cherry Thai
These two separate were titans!
Flavor profile on the ones I've grown are light cherry, earthy. A smooth smoke easy on my lungs that I want to reach for the jar at least once a day for a go. I have no idea of thc level but it makes us both as high as we possibly can stand every time we want that! I think I'd call it middle to slightly sativa feeling.
Hmmm, 4 ladies! At least it went better than Maritimer's experience. He went 8 straight males on some Red Sky I think it was. No spunk for you this run.
They look crazy good! Cherries D grew thick branches and super frosty bud! Super frosty!
I have no doubt you'll have them done right! That Wedding Cake was a dream plant and the Kingdom genetics I've grown have all been special! I'm guessing an uplifting buzz. That African is clear as a bell head high and lemony!Oh yeah!
Sounds like there has been a ton of quality breeding to get here. Hope I can make em sing.
Thanks for the insight brother. Looking forward to seeing the finish.
Nice to see a variance! I like your favorite too! Though surprises are nice!Plant #3 is similar in height to #1 and #4, but is a bit more leggy.... Looks similar, but maybe smokes crack on the weekends.
