DWC is the only method I would use right now because it just works so good and I find it simpler the more control I have over the plant. And mellow your welcome to ask any questions you have and advice is always available on 420. How's the ladies doing? U ever get a light sorted out?

This is the setup guys! Hopefully I can get a led light and a tent soon, but budget is kinda tight due to the upcoming baby. So for now this is what I'm working with. Any advice grouchy or pennywise?

Id get the cfl's as close as you can without heat stress. It will stop the stretching and tighten up your node space.

Will do bud! Some of the seedlings (I think that's what they're called) started to drop down the taller they get, but most are up straight.

I thought it was because they needed more space to grow but then again that's just a guess..

You can put more soil in up to the bottom of the leaves and that will prop them up. The get those lights down close to stop the stretching.

lol I'm def not the guy to ask that but I used fox farms ocean forest when I messed with soil recently and it seems pretty good but I hear it's better mixed with other components. Do you have holes in the bottom of those cups? U need to have good drainage

Any advice on what soil I should use?

Not sure what your budget is or how you intend to grow. I am currently growing in KindSoil. Its an organic living soil that has everything your plant will need from start to finish. No need to buy nutrients or fertilizers. It generally runs about 20 bucks for a 5 lb bag. All you do is water with a pH of 6.3-7.0. If your water falls outside of that, its recommended to either use bottled water or use a product called "earth crystals" to pH your water to the range I specified.

I have had a very positive experience growing with the KindSoil. I haven't had any issues what so ever and my plants are totally healthy. I am not sure if this type of soil would interest you, but if it does, I can give you more information. You can also google KindSoil and read up on its use on its website. The amount of soil you need depends on the size of the container you will be growing in.

Quick update on the gold leaf. She's getting huge. Must figure something out asap with the clones. Looks like we need another cab lmao well here she is before we do anything

No roots showing on the forked jack clone but all others have massive amounts of roots but nowhere to plant them!

So pissed we let this mutant stretch so tall starting to get light burn on the colas directly under the panel and premature aging of pistils. Ugh live and learn lol

She's tied down closer to the bottom basically pulling the tops down by the balls lol but I reworked the top and gained about 4" between the mini and the plant. Hopefully it will stop it from getting worse and been giving her a good amount of rhino skin so we should see some real frost come out soon
