Got heaps going on again Grizz. Looking great.
Can I pick your painter brain? Thinking of painting out the grow cupboard. Was wondering what paint you'd suggest as the best for anti-mold/mildew and to protect the plaster on the walls from any moisture? Something that is bulletproof. Not fussed on cost cause will only need a few litres.
 
well, what you want won't be best for your needs.. the best for a grow room is flat paint. The best for moisture protection is gloss or satin.. your best bet would be a low sheen, light won't bounce back off walls to much and cause hotspots... add some vc175 or buy anti mould kitchen bathroom paint.. taubmans has a good priced one from Bunnings.. if your using plurple leds then you could get away with a satin for extra moisture protection but not with white light hps etc.. .

Thanks my main concern is protecting the plaster from moisture. Not fussed about reflection. So satin is no good with the HPS lights? So it's in the additive I should be looking?
 
Add that stuff and you won't get mould.. it won't help moisture protection but low sheen will..if you paint it with satin, I'd suggest using light movers..
 
Reflects light causing hotspots that will burn your plant..

It won't hurt,especially if your got some.. If it was mine, I'd use the interior low sheen...
 
Job I'm doing at moment is for a butcher.. dudes got 600 acres, runs a few cows, how smarts that? Seems to be pretty containable size wise... offers there if your interested. Maybe wait till it finishes and I can see if its any good to smoke. You got plenty going on anyway. I'll be keeping it going for a while yet...
 
I'm wondering what connection mars hydro have with the company I purchased my panels from.. same factory? Same company different marketing? Only curious as I believe both are coming from same area and they use the same plug in leads..
