Reave's Soilless: Peat, Bark, Sphagnum, Perlite, White Widow 2018

Great job, Reave.
I basically know nothing about drying, so I'm really curious what your experience will be. Have you already smoked a sample or you're the patient type?
Not currently smoking but I grabbed a sample for my wife. I did take a small puff just to taste and I would recommend being patient. It doesn’t taste good. My wife will sample the widow I left on the counter at some point and I will report on her evaluation. She tried the CBD strain but since the thc content is so low it’s kind of hard to tell. She does think it helped relieve her joint and muscle pain though.

Update on the cure:

Going to trim and move to something else tomorrow evening or Saturday morning.

Upped the dosage of the iso to 150ml in 850ml of water. This seems to have killed the thrips. Grabbed a leaf and took some shots. Now some of the leaves on the monster cropped clones didn’t seem to like this too much but the newer growth is starting to look like cannabis leaves again so I’m not too worried.

After spraying with the 100ml to 900ml of water I was often able to find them crawling around still. This minor tweak seems to have done the trick. I will hit them again in a few days just for good measure. Don’t want these little f’ers getting on my new strains.

Smoke report:

The wife finally explained the high and flavour to me. She said it taste much better than the Durga mata. The terpene flavours were pepper and earthy. The high is euphoric and uplifting. For any chronic users this would be a good daytime smoke it does not make you tired or give you munchies until the burn out phase. Munchies are not as bad as other smoke. It works well for anxiety and pain.

I think this is a really good strain. I tried the smallest puff myself just to taste the flavour and I got a really mild uplifting buzz and an uncontrollable smile.

Even the smell of the bud I left out on the counter was really good even though it had not been cured properly. I can wait for her to try the finished product.

This journal will be coming to an end in the next few days as I move the buds from the box to the jars with the 62% humidity packs.

My next journal can be followed from the second link in my signature. Thanks again to the 420 crew for making my first grow a great success.

Congratulations on your harvest. Looks great.
I use the cardboard box method. Quit hanging them years ago. Now I just stuff um in there. Im a lazy old fker tho.
I hear that. Hanging them doesn’t take to long though. I only had 5 plants in a 3x3. I also bud washed them so figured they needed to hang.

On another note with this winter storm warning the humidity outside is 90% so I had to open up the box quite a bit to hold at 62%. It is usually very dry here but whatever is going on with this weather pattern is changing that. We are lucky here though because most of this BS will actually miss us where I live. We are just getting the edge.

Good job,Reave! :bravo:

your drying box is cool....made of my "go to" building material!
