Reave's Soilless: Peat, Bark, Sphagnum, Perlite, White Widow 2018

Ok, enough with the boring stuff.

Durga Matta 2 Update:

The clones are responding very well to the LST as far as I can tell giving my limited experience from reading and trying this one time lol.

I have begun to curve the top of the plant around the edge of the pot. I believe it is looking pretty good. It seems about 7 tops are forming down along the main stem.

As the lowers grow, tie them out away from the main stem and away from each other. I use wooden barbecue sticks with a twist tie at the end and stick it in the soil, using the twist tie to hold the branch in place as it grows. Eventually it will make it to the edge of the pot and you can go with pipe cleaners and binder clips.
Will do, I have some chop sticks that will work, might have to cut them in half or something.

Watered the smaller clone and the ww this morning. Weighed them. 26 ounces dry. I checked to the bottom with my moisture meter and it registered dry right to the bottom.

Comparing the weight to another container was not working because I just added approximates of perlite and I don't think they were the same.

The larger cloan is slower at drinking her water or that medium mix was able to hold more.

Seedlings are still heavy but the are growing beautifully.

Seedlings look great! I know it's exciting to see roots coming out of the holes in the bottom, but resist the urge to transplant them. I'm not sure if you have heard of the double-cup method for seeds and clones but it makes it a lot easier to track root growth. All you do is put your seed/seedling or clone in a clear solo cup, and then slide that cup into a solid color one to protect the roots from light. Then you can slide the clear cup out to get a peak any time you're curious!

It is hard to compare pot to pot if your mediums are different. You just get a feel for each pot or cup on its own.

I read about the double cup method in your current grow journal. Next time I will try that out.

For transplanting I was waiting till they drink all their water in 24 hours or less as described in Emmies watering tutorial.

Best thing to do going forward is to ask the 420 community first, like you have been doing. I know there's a lot of talk about defoliation and trimming on here, but a lot of it is grower/plant specific and some of it is just plain incorrect. I was in another thread trying to help a first time grower with his auto flower and one day he came back with pics of a plant he had defoliated so heavily (after reading someone else's journal) that I didn't even have the heart to tell him what it would do to his harvest. I just said try not to do that next time :).

Before you take off any leaves, decide if you can tuck them under whatever they are covering first. My Blue Treacle Auto 2 got only leaf tucking every day and no defoliation at all. Every bud can see the light and I hadn't even done that morning's tucking!
