Ranger275 - Adventures in the 2nd Dimension

Heya ranger,, looking good pal. I get a bit of that claw look myself,, just a few leaves here and there. b.real says nitrogen overdose. good to know. makes sence to me I guess. mine could be because of the urine I use. just a few leaves though. not a problem for you or me I don't think. three feet eh? let's get to a meter maybe? good stuff ranger, cheers

b.real, BEATEO and nivek: It seems we have a consensus. This advice is being followed. nivek, plz keep me abreast of your situation.

cajuncelt: I want you to stick by me like I was your RangerBuddy. You know better than I, how Rangers operate. If I can't reach out and touch you, that means you're ate up like a football bat. Roger?

Update coming soon.
Make a little Love, get down tonight!

P.S. You're in good hands with b. I've known him a couple of years now. Awesome grower.
And, I agree don't flush out all the good. That N will loosen up quick. The tips aren't even burned yet. They'll recover quick. Give them done Superthrive or Floraliscious Plus (or nothing) & water only for 2 waterings.

UPDATE BloomDay26. I'm high. Around 5'11", 175lb, good color, but a little drooopy around the edges due to irregularities in the grow area. Lol. Better nutes and a little sun wouldn't hurt me a bit.

As for the plant. 37-38" tall, color is a nice dark green. Thx for the advice folks, the clawing seems to have lessened w/rain water only. I'm going to let her dry out a bit and give a mellow fertigation tomorrow.

Pic of leader is badly affected by the mylar. It can be a little eye-bending looking down to adjust things. I rotate the BigBlues and the CFLs on a semi-random basis, hoping to get the most of the light.

Pretty flower. My Grandma had a hat that looked kinda like this blossom. Weird had, pretty flower.

These low-mid branches are the the most interesting to me. Plenty of sites, will they fully express?

I was talking to a neighbor recently who grew pseudo-professionally a while ago, and he said that after a hydro run, far from flushing, he and his now-MIA, cronies had fed w/Hawai'ian Punch! He said the color came out in the leaves and buds, and gave a sweet taste. Upon further questioning, he admitted that "it burnt a little funny." He said they used to throw in all kinds of stuff at the end: oj, dark rum, Kool-Aid! Has anybody else heard of this?

haha, rum, too funny. sure gets one thinking though,, haha, that is a good one, gotta say. never even occurred to me,, ha, cheers

yay for flowers, go flowers, go

My grape ape didn't taste like the grape ape I'm use to.. I was told by my buddy to you botanicare grape. I've contemplated it just to get that strong flavor he gets but I just haven't brought my self to do something that experimental and i need to do research on the product before it goes to me ladys.

I for one would like to hear more replies to this. Is it even healthy to plants.

While I try to stay away from dogmatism, this freaky additive thing does seem dumb. I don't know the biochem, but molasses seems to make sense: complex sugars, all kinds of other biologicals, but Kool-Aid? No. Mostly refined sugar, food color and preservatives (i.e. bio-cides) as far as I can tell. Hard liquor seems like it would kill benes, though he seemed to use it more for ceremonial purposes. I'm all for a little Rite and Ritual, or pomp and circumstance in life, but I think I'll just drink my rum and smoke my relatively clean herb.

b.real: I hope I'm not pestering you, but a while ago you posted re de-fol affecting cola development. I've looked and looked, but cannot find. Would you mind elaborating? If anybody else has ideas, plz feel free to pitch in. I've been avoiding de-fol as I think it's not needed w/2d grow.

Ranger,
I'll chime in on this one. I wouldn't turn my girls into alcoholics, nor would I try to give them diabetes.... but that's just me. :)
I'll stick to water, NPK, and just a bit of hydrogen peroxide. I guess if you're doing the living soil thing the molasses is a good addition but I've never tried it. Kool Aid.... LOL
:Namaste:

I'm not sure about additives to the soil for flavor, but I bet they used something like squeezed orange or lemon juice to make chemdawg taste like citrus. maybe they even grew the plant in a citrus field for a number of years till it acquired the characteristic? did white widow grow near pine trees and/or in soil that housed for pine trees for years? who knows?

leaves are called sources and are there to collect light and create energy for the plant. if you cut the leaves the plant won't be able to grab as much light from the area to use to its advantage. your buds are forming nicely :thumb:

If one wants their flowers to absorb color and/or flavors from a liquid, I would think the cut flower solution would work best. ,
Cut your flowers, stand them upright in a vase of liquid, and let them absorb the liquid before hanging to dry.

This would undoubtedly bring in more of the modifying liquid than depending on the roots to absorb, even if only through capillary action.

P.S. Done this way, you can experiment with one or two branches and not destroy your whole grow.
