yeah, thats the thing, i think everyones grow and set up is different, and tbf if we all rushed out and bought everythhing that people on these forums say they use or need hell our grows would prob cost doublewhat they already do lol... but definitely feel a lot better this morning for seeing the wee girl dipping her toe in the soil nice and early!! not even been in the soil 24 hrs yet, just hope the other 2 arent too far behind her now

it's always nice to see performance. my seeds were a few centimetres down so i had to wait for actual sprouts but i cheated and scraped back the soil with a spoon every now and then to see if the taproot was getting a wiggle on.

i thought id had them about a cm down myself, but when i woke up this morning 1st thing i done was put light back on and poke my head in just to see, and there it was, on the surface, with taproot hangen out its arse but yeah, just seein that it is progressing, even just a small thing like that left me feeling great already lol still a looooonnng road to travel yet though lol

i thought id had them about a cm down myself, but when i woke up this morning 1st thing i done was put light back on and poke my head in just to see, and there it was, on the surface, with taproot hangen out its arse but yeah, just seein that it is progressing, even just a small thing like that left me feeling great already lol still a looooonnng road to travel yet though lol

i imagine that the taproot coming out has pushed it up. did you place a little soil over the taproot to shield it from the light?

yeah that is exactly what i havedone, a just flicked a wee bit of soil over it... thinking ive just been gently pouring water over the where the seed is middle of pot, so maybe when ive been doing this ive inadvertantly been washing the soil away from the top of the seed and that ive overestimated the cm, couldve been less and that y it was exposed??

wouldn't worry too much, just keep tapper covered up and moist and you'll be fine. it germinated and that's great.

Yep Scottish, well chuffed wa that now, esp as I was worryen about just droppen them straight into there pots like that, but now im glad this is thr option I chose, heat in that grow closet is nice and toasty, so much so am sprayen with water ever 3 hours or so, just hope it doesnt become too much as my babies become little ladies :-/ Only time will tell lol

I find best way too germinate any seed is in soil that way taproot heads exactly where it needs to when it needs to every 3hours you turning the light off overnight or just making sure soil has a nice soak? If it's getting hot jus open the door and close it rapidly a few times pump the heat out but I've just done a bit of a look at your strains again big devils 1.5m tall and mega bushy cheese is 60-90cm n bushy as hell and blue cheese is 1.2m tall But takes 10weeks flower so a 4-5month grow your def gonna have an interesting time with all such monsters in such a small space

Im wetting approx 3 hourly, turned light off during night last night as was plenty warm anuff (the proof of that was there 2day ) But yeah, just hoping that they dont just overgrow one another tbh , or hoping at the worst case I might Need to jump in with some gentle pruning, thr blue cheese I always knew was going to b a longer grow, but that gives me time to harvest and savour the other 2 while am waitimg for her, and. A chance to start possibly a photoperiod grow, got a juicy chronic freebie with seeds I bought that sounds really tasty I might give a wee go lol long way off thinking about that though...

Glad 2 see ur seedlings have started 2 sprout buddyits piss easy 2 grow these plants.4 watering the plants just fill a 5 litre bottle of tap water,leave the lid of 4 24 hours,an ull be fine with that.thats wot i did.the good thing is u now have it started

yeah snakey, feeling fairly pleased, didnt expect germination to happen quite as quickly as it did, but yeah ive heard that leaving water open over night helps alance it out a wee bit, any ideas how this actually works?? or is it just one of those old wives tales?? lol yeah that fact they are easy to grow was a big part of my decision making lol just hope they are easy as people make out, im sure they will be though

Ull be fine m8.u might get a few bottom leaves going a little yellow,but that's really it.nothing 2 worry about.it seems as if everything the plants needed 2 live was in the soil.I didn't start 2 add any food until week 6 I think,then the plants got a bit burnt,the leaves,but they still grew fine.I might leave feeding them all 2gether next time,as it def started 2 yellow most of my leaves.yeah that water thing is actually true,it allows chemicals 2 evaporate,chlorine ect.1 thing I wouldn't advise m8.I started taking small buds of my nl at 6 weeks old because she was filling out so quick I was just 2 excited,like a wee child at Christmas.so I started chopping,an quick drying.now iI won't lie 2 u,it def got me well stoned,an served its purpose.but if I hada waited,those small buds woulda been nice big juicy buds.I'd say start the sampling at around week 10,if u can wait,it really is worth it.I won't be making that mistake again

well think i will start doing that with the water then as i say where i am in scotland i am quite fortunate in that the water doesnt seem to chemically and is soft water, but will defo just start leaving it out in the open for a day before using using it... As for feeding, i was planning not to feed at all and see how i get along with that, ive read a few journals where people have fed autos and ended up with nute burn and things so will try and avoid going down that route unless i feel i really have to tbh
and yeah, again, going to try and behave myself and not touch them until they are about ready for a harvest enyway, with only 3 plants and the whole point in me growing to create a stockpile for myself, so i alrready get a hold of some really good cheese atm from a mate, so provided he keeps getting hold of the good stuff, i shouldnt have any real need to 'sample' from my babies too early or so im hoping anyway lol....

No dont drink, main reason i stopped was when my gf fell preggers, she couldnt drink so therefore was fair that i didnt, so i stopped, then after we had my son, drinking wasnt an option for either of us cos need to be up all night dealing wif baby lol, not he is 1 but partner preggers again with twins, so still off the drink, but honestly feel better for it, so now would just rather have a smoke than a drink, although a wee one from time to time doesnt go amiss

Ah yes,the joys of kids.I rem the 3am bottle feeds,(an that's just the wife getting me my Stella's at 3am), i actually miss my grow.nipping in every mornin 2 check on the filty whores

haha yeah, kids just seem to take over your life, yet they are worth every minute of it

yeah already feeling that buzz when i wake up in the morning, first thing i want to do is just poke my head in and see whats going on will get better as time progresses and the changed become more visible

I'll tell u 1 thing m8.see wen ur grow is over,the days fly by,it honestly feels like yesterday was Friday.see wen ur growing,especially 2wards the end,boy time goes so slow.do wot I did.close ur tent an 4get about them 4 a few days,that way u really do see a lot of growth,only wait till they are older 4 that.u def wana check on them everyday at this young age 2 avoid any probs

O.K. So day one begins from here on in... woke this morning and all 3 are now above the soil, and has their first set of round leaves now, crtazy how the little things like this can bring on so much excitement lol but to me its just a nice piece of confirmation that all is going well, will get a wee picture of each of them uploaded just shortly after i have put some charge in my phone

Edit: shouldve added this info originally in the post, so sorry ive had to edit here guys, but heres my plans now for the future of the grow:

Lights: My light will be on 18/6 cycle (was hoping to go 20/4, but light leak through wardrobe is quite high, and partner cant sleep with the brightness, so need to try and minimise this for her ) with lights going off every evening at 9pm.

Soil: so soil is still very damp as this was the way it was kept for the germination period, not things are happening i am going to monitor closely, but will avoid watering for next few days, allow soin to dry a bit and allow it to aerate (shouldnt take long as using air pots)

Feed: as i have said all along, i am NOT going to feed these girls, i have mycohorizzal in my soil, and this should allow the ladies to access all the nutrients already within the compost, and i do not want to complicate the grow with feeds etc K.I.S.S!!

I also have a couple of small 'pocket fans' hanging from the clothes rail at the top of the cupboard, they are nothing substantial, just wee cheapy handheld fans that run on AA batteries, this is just to keep an element of airflow, stop the air standing still and going stagnant/stale...

as ive said all along guys, any input or advice about any aspect of this grow will be welcomed, so please feel free to put ur 2 pence worth in (or cents for those in the USA lol) i am open to suggestions, i AM an ameteur and this is my first grow after all
