Random Thoughts: Plants & Genetics

Looking last night i was surprised at how even the canopy's are. I manipulated plants to get all the branches up in the canopy. Not to have even growth. 3 weeks in so stretch is over for most plants. some will continue to stretch some. Not so much it could be a problem. I am having more trouble finding taller plants for the outside rows. Only one plant in the big tent is noticeably taller. Tallest plant is a tall pheno of the Gorilla Zkittlez. It has only been a couple days but here is a updated pic of the 60 x 60 tent.

The smaller tent has a good canopy but 3 of the plants are on booster chairs to do it. The thing is tall or not they have lots of buds up in the canopy so they should do well if all goes right.

Here is a picture of 2 of the Cinderella 99. All branches are uptop where they need to be.

It is about time to get some class pictures so everyone can see the different phenos and how a few strains look. I just need to get after it. Not going to be easy getting every strain together as plants are in different tents.

I was supposed to be posting new plant pictures today. There is only one time of the day when I can get pictures all at once. That time came and went without any pictures. It seems someone forgot that they took down the picture station so they could take bud shots.
I will fix that today and shoot for the photo shoot tonight lol.

Won't be long and the reversed plant will be killed and dried. Any left over pollen is going to be split between the Alpha Dawg and the Snowdawg 3. I want to look at the Chemdawg before I do anything with it. I have more seeds and only one plant right now. After I try it I will know more if I want to use it in the future and with what. I will only be growing what I already have or make for a while. I want to see what will go with what when I can. Some strains I do just because of what I know of them. Others I need to see how they will mix with others.

That happened with this grow. I had originally thought I wanted to cross C-99 with Purple Betty to give it more of a sativa high. This grow I found that Genius S-1 has good purple with cold temps. It is also a strong sativa high but the color would go with PB. The Genius is probably as strong as the C-99 but the high from Cinderella is much more to my liking. Mixed into a strain it shouldn't matter. The C-99 would definitely be more stable but I pheno hunt so that doesn't matter as much. I never want to end up with to much genetic similarities so I can't just cross everything with C-99 and Headband. Genius x Purple Betty would solve at least one problem.

I managed to be basically productive yesterday. Got pictures taken anyway. I had plants spread out all over the damn place LMAO. Having to get all plants from the same strain in a picture was more work than I thought. Instead of just flooding all the pictures at once I will post a few at a time in case there are any discussions on them.

To start we have the Cinderella 99. These plants are all mostly exact. One pheno in the back row is taller. It came from the big tent where everything is a little taller. These all did real well with just super cropping.

Next up is where the discussion may come into play. The next 3 strains all have a similarl ooking pheno. 2 Chem hybrids look just like the Chem plant. Here are the Snowdawgs first.
The plant in the middle is the one I am referring too. Both other plants are real bushy and look totally different. The fact that it looks just like the Chemdawg and the Alpha Dawg (Snowdawg x Chemdawg). This I take it is a Chem leaning pheno. Good or bad LMAO we will find out later. I just thought it was interesting.
Alpha Dawg

Chemdawg

The canopy is what amazes me. They just did it on their own. It has really created problems. I use tall plants on the outside row because everything is higher up. I am not getting the light coverage on the outside rows like I normally do. Everything can be moved around so I can solve that problem by rotating them around.

Can't wait to watch these three plants for the next month or so.

Man I can't get over how much the Alpha looks like the Chem, damn near looks like 2 pics of the same plant lol. They both have the same vibrant green to them as well. You've got me over here all excited to see what they do now!!!

Maybe it is!!! Maybe I only have 5 plants and just turned them a little LMAO. They are even in the same pots so there is no help there.

The vibrant green comes from proper feeding. I am trying to catch back up with the 2 Headband clones. They are growing fine but not as green as I would like them. Oh thats right you guys haven't seen the Headband clones LMAO. here you go.

Today we will look at a couple of others.
First we will show the Killer Queen. I may have screwed up growing this along with the C-99. I don't know how close they will end up. C-99's last hybrid had a few C-99 leaning phenos. I may end up with to much of the same type of weed. Great looking plants though.
Killer Queen

One of the strains that has the widest size differences is the Critical. I have never grown it quite like this and it trained differently than I thought. One pheno is a little short is all. Still learning about these S-1's Now it is time to define more of what I do know of it. I have both main phenos growth wise. Smell and flavor is the key now. 2 main smells are Juicy Fruit and Apple. Both are frosty and carry good THC content so now it is time to nail down the pheno with the best flavor.
Critical

I will leave the strain people are the most interested in for another day LMAO. Next we will go with the Cannalope Haze. How this strain made it to the top of my favorite list is a mystery. I have only grown one plant LMAO. Best Haze flavor I have ever grown. Almost as good a Ghost Train Haze from Colorado I smoked. I had early problems and only one Cannalope made it through. Now it is time to see if I can recreate it. Good chance I had the best pheno ever and will never find it again.

Nothing quite as beautiful as your ladies, but I officially have one boy and two girls!!!

Making more of these and adding genetics to a couple of my already hybridized hybrids. Hoping nuts drop in time to pollinate my Devil's Pitchfork x Trailer Trash Betty deep purple pheno.

Edit: eventually I am going to have to make some sort of attempt at stabilizing my genetics.

Looking good you guys!!! I hope you dont mind me posting a few GI.JANE pics. Here she is on day58 from sprouting, she has already filled the 3gal out nicely!! The only training she has received is a little bit of lst.

Beautiful plants everyone! Love the c-99 jack... hopefully it's ok to show my small garden. 3 - 9lb hammer's to the left, a GG x purps bag seed in back right corner and a 24k in front right. I'm really surprised my 24k's leaves are so indica looking. Hopefully everyone has a great weekend

No worries Dankman. Short term memory loss is very prevalent here LMAO.

Great looking plants everyone. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing those genetics are making people happy everywhere.

GanjaGrower. Nice fat leaves on those little ones. Not that anyone could think of that hybrid being anything but Indica LOL. That is one of the hybrids that is at the top of my list to try now. Lots of people have crossed Purps with Afghani. Mostly older strains like Da Purps. The Purple Afghani in the hybrid came from the outlaw community. I am pretty sure it is real. Breeder wouldn't have grown it if he wasn't pretty sure it was the right strain. His hybrids have always been better than what I buy so that strain should be to much different.

Orlando. You are right. That GI Jane is looking great. Looks a lot like the Recon did. Mine was a clone so yours will react differently from seed. Still it is bushing out really well like mine did. All those branches on mine made nice spears. Not huge buds but nice, hard, and well formed.

Dankman. can't claim any responsibility there LMAO. 24 K is DNA genetics isn't it? My Cannalope Haze is a sativa dom strain from them with has very indica looking leaves.

The fact that there may be Killer Head in my future should be a great thing. No quarenties so I will just have to wait LMAO. I used a dried reversed bud from the Headband to check something I had seen here. While I didn't get the outcome I was hoping for I did end up with a small amount of material from that bud that looked to have some pollen in it. It is way early to know what the best phenos are. My only choice was to use it on the best plant in the tent. Killer Queen. So Killer Head came to be. MAYBE LMAO.

On the Pollen front. It seems to look like a lot of pollen got spread around. Find lots of dried hairs on most of the clones. It is pretty early to see this many red hairs. One Headband and the Basic 99 seem to have did better than others. I can only wait and see now.

I took the reversed plant out of the tent a couple days ago. Since that time I have shook that plant over the C-99 every night. Maybe I gave it a few more molecules of pollen. Now the plan is to let the plant grow unbothered for a few days then I will dry it and use the last of everything for the Alphadawg, and the Snowdawg. I have more Chem and will decide later how or if I want to use it. I might do one more hybrids but don't know which one at this time. Hard to beat Killer Head.

With that I will close LMAO.

Oooo Killer Queen x Headband should be a hell of a hybrid! I love the name you came up with as well, Killer Head great one my friend!! I gotta say you have some awesome names for your hybrids.

Idle minds and all LMAO. The more "politically correct" the world gets the better the names will get LMAO.

My only thought is it might end up real similar to the C-99 x Headband. I don't know how much the C-99 comes out in this hybrid. My last C-99 hybrids had Cindy leaning phenos. I need my luck to have to hold out if I want the pheno I pollenated to be Airborne dominate LOL.
