Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Dog

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Hmm I have some questions for current or ex Cali residents. I know laws are pretty sketchy down there, so I'd like to know few things about how it works when it goes down to it. So for example I'm smoking a joint in the car and somebody else is driving. If they pull us over am I supposed to say it's all good officer, the guy at the wheel smoking at all. I know the driver can be stopped if they suspect there's been a party going on in the car, but does he have to be very stoned to be booked for the night? Hmm there's another one, we are in 4 so we can carry legally 4 oz of bud or hash or oil or edibles, but I heard they can pull you anyway for 24 hrs, is it true? Are you supposed to say that you carry weed if you're asked or it's still kinda don't smoke and tell story. What about other drugs? You know, I'm trying to get prepared? :bong:

Been too many years for my experiences to be relevant. :sorry:

I got busted. One cop was pretty cool and was going to let us walk. The other cop (old school and his superior) was a total hard ass. "Book 'em, Dano."

Go to California NORML site for good summary. Suggest vaping or edibles while driving. Smell inside vehicle may get red neck LE to cause trouble. Might be hassle to convince LE that driver hasn't smoked. 1 oz per person = 4 oz. Uptight pig may invoke intent to sell. My son is covered w/ tats & has a mohawk so is extra wary re LE. He has dab rig inside vehicle but always travels w/ bulk of stash in trunk. :Namaste:

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

I've driven 250,000 miles on the freeways over 30 years, across more than a dozen States, on a regular basis, stoned the entire time. :cheesygrinsmiley: :slide: My wife are comfortable with long car trips anyway, and being stoned makes it truly enjoyable, so we'd typically catch a buzz about an hour into a trip and just keep hitting it all day long. :cheesygrinsmiley: We're not talking about a smoke filled car with a couple idiots in it - just a nice buzz and some good music to keep the miles going by.

I've even been puffing on the pipe when I've seen the chase lights come on behind me. Fortunately, I smoke strong unfiltered cigarettes which usually cover most of the smoke smell, or at least confuse it, so I quickly lit one and got away with it both times. And we don't look at all like a couple of loadies, or we didn't until I let my hair grow out. Ah! I forgot one very edgy experience! We were traveling through the NC mountains along an old highway, and hit some slow traffic in a little community along a river valley, so I tried to pass a couple cars, one of which was a county sheriff. Ah, yes, and the big issue was the double yellow line - oops. Heheh. So, of course I get pulled over. And of course, the car smells like burnt rope. But we look normalish, so he didn't know what to do. This is a Sheriff, the guy in his 50s with the belly and the sunglasses, the guy that basically runs his rural county the way he likes to run it, y'know? He decided that we should follow him to his office so we could sign some stuff since we lived several States away. Pretty sly guy, huh? We're nervous, of course, but I know he doesn't have anything on us - who cares what we smell like? It's nobody's business unless somebody sees some herb or a pipe. There was never any mention - we're just supposed to follow him. Along the way, I figure he's seeing if we bolt. But I just followed him to the office, signed off on the paperwork and we both went our separate ways. :cheesygrinsmiley: Whew!

If Law Enforcement sees a pipe or anything like it, they have cause for arrest, and will have to decide NOT to arrest you - that's hard. If they just smell something, they'll be suspicious and they'll look for evidence, they'll want to take a good look at everyone, they'll linger, but if nothing turns up, you're fine. Don't let them see any evidence - everything is different if they do.

Most of these guys don't want a marijuana arrest. If you seem to be one of those people that are never a problem for him whatever you do, then he's not very interested in what you were doing before he came along. He'll finish whatever business he had with you without looking for more trouble.

As far as laws, yes, every State is different, so check out the NORML site (good advice Brightlight).

THIS has been my experience and is good advice!

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

One more thing. In the USA there's a big difference in legal privacy between your self and your surroundings. What you have in your pockets is of the highest privacy. They can only (legally) look there AFTER they arrest you. And they can only arrest you if they have evidence of a serious offense. Driving violations aren't serious offenses. So they hardly ever have a legal excuse to look in your pockets.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Ok guys, that cleared up some of my uncertainties. So basically, we can be all stoned in the car or in the public for that matter, but as long as there's no probable cause, and this means flaunting a joint/pipe/bong/rig or having a baggie in your hand or on a dashboard... or being black, no just kidding here, a cop cannot stop and search us, which means he cannot find out how much and what we have in the trunk. Do I get this right?

They also say on NORML website that in Cali a driver has to be impaired to be booked for DUI, so one has to undergo a famous one leg stand test and other stupidities before one goes for the night in county jail. Well this is as good as it gets, so I can relax now. :thanks: :surf::blunt:

And the trunk of the car is another especially safe place. :cheesygrinsmiley: The law allows an officer to search the immediate premises for a weapon - keeps the officer safer. That would legally include any place where you might lunge for something, including the inside of the car, for instance, often the glove box included - the boundaries can be vague. But the trunk is closed and locked and not immediately available. :slide: If, under some rare circumstance, he asks you (he will have to ask if there's no cause) to look in the truck and you can't let him, just say no and face the consequences. You can unwind it later, but not if he finds anything and you voluntarily let him look there. He wouldn't ask if he had cause and you don't have to help him. Remember the asking part with any LE. :cheesygrinsmiley:

But yep, you're very unlikely to encounter LE, and if you do, just be who you are - minus the cannabis. "No show here, officer! We're just some nice Italians on tour." No officer really wants to bust some nice Italians on tour, anyway.

You can probably be giggly fools in public, too, if you want - just don't be holding a couple ounces at the time.

Now this is top info, Gray! I like the no letting them in part! I guess if we act normally and respond politely without waving a joint, even having half a pound in the trunk, we should be ok :thumb:

Eh, they do not need a reason to call a K9 unit to sniff a car. If you say no, there will be a K9 on the way. Just play it cool and drive normally. You will be golden.

Cheers

An update from The Hill!

Today temps finally went down with morning showers, I'm telling you it's priceless in the middle of the summer. We're gonna get some more tonight and tomorrow, which is perfect timing as plants were getting a little bit dry when I came to see them. This time humidity really gave me a beating, I stopped 8 times before I got there, and I was completely wet when I left. Around this time I usually start mulching to keep the roots cool and boost the growth, which is what I've done.

I started with fresh biochar lightly sprinkling it around:

If you've noticed I usually mix it with soil while I put the plants in the ground, but here I haven't done it. It would be fair to say I've done 50% or maybe less of what I got done in The Sunny Spot. But now it's the time to really work this spot up, so I can have perfectly dialed soil for the next season. It really takes time to get it perfect for cannabis, it doesn't take a season and it doesn't take two, more like three or four, but this crop should be much better than the previous one anyway, when I grew Aurora Ultra plants here, and got some excellent hash :thumb:

Then I tossed some fresh stinging nettle dipped in compost tea:

IMG_417710.JPG

As a dynamic accumulator SN gives away all nutrients stored as soon as it breaks down, which takes one week on average if they weren't composted as a liquid. Big nitrogen, calcium, manganese, iron, magnesium and potassium boost. Afterwards I started shaving the nearest trees and bushes from the leaves which I used for quick mulch, but I don't have the pics, cause my battery went flat.

The gals look like that:

One was attacked by unidentified pest, but she'll make it. All in all these are less than perfect phenos here, but now they're the only ones I have, so I have to really care for them.

:Namaste:

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

They look awesome, man!
I was going to ask about that first pic. I thought I saw little spots on the leaves. What is your plan for it?

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

I don't care a lot about it, I'm more worried about the corn borers in September. I'm gonna spray in two weeks, just before I leave.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

I have yet to face the dreaded bud worm or bud rot. Knock wood...

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

I hope you're not gonna have to, it's a nightmare and that's why I'm spraying this year. You can only prevent it in theory, once they lay leggs you're done and you have to inspect all the plants at least once a week.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

We have the little white moths everywhere so I know my grow is a candidate for the worms.
I will try to remain vigilant. I will be spraying with Azatrol. It also help with PM.
Best of luck!

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

I swear by Captin Jack's. Spray once like 3 weeks prior to harvest and no caterpillars or worms. It's just that Spinosad, but it works. Most cops I ran into in Cali were cool as long as I didn't get stupid. I wood carry just about all my stash in the trunk also. Just say yes sir, no sir.
Going to be harder to get the herbs here I'd think. Anytime I'm getting on a plane here, I mail my herbs ahead. Shh don't tell anyone. Keepem Green

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

I too have little white moths flying around my greenhouses from time to time which in turn has me on guard everyday checking all my flower sites for tiny worms that you can see if looking closely at the leaves and the way they stick together like glue. That's the first sign of having bud worms inside which are tiny as can be at first but grow really fast once flowering starts & I learned the hard way last year. Just my two cents!

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Yep they lay eggs first under the leaves, and then they bore the stem and eat up everything inside traveling up the stem to eat the bud, which can be contained if caught early, cause after busting the sucker your bud can still regrow. It also depends how tough it is, I've had them in moderate amounts at best so far and usually some plants were better magnets than others. But the pain in the ass is checking si I'm spraying this season :passitleft:

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

I got nicely stoned yesterday with my wife, and I watched few panels on youtube. Hmm my UD starts to go as far as flavor is concerned, but I keep putting more hash into my blunts so they turn out quite nice. So far I cannot support long shelf of HB weed theory, it peaked at around 6-8 months of curing, but then it has slowly started losing the taste. I need to add that the fruitiest and sweetest herb I've been growing so far, the Grape Ape, which was like stingy pineapple juice when you smoked/vaped it didn't age that well either, and I just ended giving the rest away :smokin2:

Anyway, check this vid out, it's from 2015 Seattle Terpesfestival, and has two hectic rants by Jeff Church, who talks about getting full terpenes profile in extracts, and by Kevin Jodrey from southern Humboldt based Wonderland Nursery (I think he's originally from Boston), who gives you a brilliant tour of cannabis flavor's history since the 70s with a lot of quality talk (he starts at 9:36 if you want to skip Church's rant). I found his insight quite compelling.
