Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Dog

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Outside we have wind rain and other natural predators that keep pests in check. I seldom have problems here in Oregon with things like mites,,, but them damn catterpillers strike almost every year. But that's under control with one spraying about the first of Sept. Just looking in. GL and Keepem Green

Hey man, I'd be really surprised if you had any problems with pests, cause you're plants look as healthy as it gets.

I'm just the opposite, so far. Mites EVERY grow but I've never had to deal with caterpillars/bud worms. I'm thinking this year may be my first. So far, I've found 4 web-like cocoons on the top of leaves with the leaves sort of wrapped around them. <_<

Inspect all the plants very thoroughly, and remove any suspected leaves.

So far, so good. I didn't remove the leaves - just the web and whatever was in it. No mites so far this year!!!
I try to inspect them well, but it takes me nearly 2 hours just to water them. Now that some are way over my head, it is slow and difficult getting a good look at them. ZD(+) is closing in on 9'. Today I found a web on one of its tops only because I was up on a ladder.

Oh BTW if you do any cutting of branches you should close the ends off. I use Elmer's glue dripped in the opening. You can use anything even the cure all duct tape. Two little pieces of tape across any open ends like toppings. Anything to stop pests from entering. The borers will find openings and infect your girls. Besides pests, molds can also enter in open wounds. Just my 2 cents. GL and Keepem Green

A spontaneous update from The Hill... I woke up at 6:45... couldn't sleep... and cause I wanted to spray I went for a hike with my backpack full of sprays and powders. I was glad to see all 6 gals, now confirmed, in good health. I did some little pruning, I took leaf samples, and sprayed lactobacillus acidophilus and bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki (used as an organic pesticide approved both in US and EU), I also top dressed lithothamnium mixed with powdered egg shells. They're not flowering yet, but they already smell from around 10-15 yards through the bushes. Brix are around 10-12, which I'm working to raise... it's far cry from my Sunny Spot gals that were hitting 16 before getting killed, but they're gonna improve in flowering I'm sure. I might make another trip before I go to Cali just to see if Brix went up after the treatment.

Morning Conrad, your five girls look great and i have to say ,...that spot they're in....fantastic. very concealed and stealthy for sure. No trails to them right ....just your entry points etc.? Hopefully they pull thru without outside interference. Cheers to you my friend....and ya Magic....very nice color! Cheers Conrad!

They have the right color now, and stems are getting stronger by the day :thumb:

That's what I hope, they should achieve their 8 feet potential if they keep on growing this way. I'm so happy they are 6 gals, volcano method definitely works.

Very scenic, duggs. It's on the high terrace, which this hill has a lot of, cause they used to be cultivated, but were left by themselves probably 30 years ago. There are two paths that you can enter there from two opposing directions, but the ridge has been completely overtaken by blackberry bushes so you need to hike through the forest up the steep slope and then take the old path to the top wading through blackberries. You can see the short trail that I'm leaving unfortunately, but nobody really has an interest to go up there, so I should be good.
