Rad on the ACA - it's a game, like a puzzle you have to figure it out. I have used it since it's beginnings. I was having trouble (from day 1 and still have trouble) so I have to call in to sign up every year. The 2nd year I got a lady that does customer service. She "helped" me and it changed everything regarding costs. If you want some more info before you sign up (Dec 15th is the deadline) hit me with a pm. My cost is minimal (the way it was intended), but it's state dependent.

I chopped the UD. With all the problems i had with light and reveg this summer, I lost half my genetics. My 'flow' of plants is a lot less than it should be. I don't have a warm place to keep the male away from other plants and I don't want to risk the pollen getting loose into my veg area(mostly clones) and making a mess of their grow potential like the reveg did... I guess I'm saying things feel too unstable to start taking risks I don't have to take.
I have the ACA plan figured out and chosen, at no additional cost per month - so they can't pull the trick they did last year - refuse to send a bill, not tell me where to pay, and then cancel my coverage for not paying my $50 per month supplemental cost. Thanks for the offer to help

I found some White Widow x Hawaiian Skunk and Borderliner (selfed?) seeds that I harvested 2 years ago. I plan to plant them to get some indica dom genetics running again. Once I prove I can start seeds for perlite (as opposed to soil) I have some Dark Devil Auto and UltraDawg seeds I want to start running.
I think I'll try a seed sprouting plan of:
Soak seeds until they crack.
Rockwool cubes (2") until they sprout.
Move cubes to final media once the seedlings have true leaves
I didn't like rockwool for cloning, but it should be OK for seedlings as long as it doesn't drown the seeds.
Rad...glad the "heartburn" issue has passed...but if it returns in such a long duration, I would think it prudent to have it checked out for an underlying issue...I can't fathom the problems my southern neighbors have with receiving quality healthcare...its something we Canuckleheads take ours for granted...sure it has some flaws(waiting times for procedures), but given the horror stories of some my online friends in many forums...I feel somewhat blessed... if the new tax reform gets signed, I see many people getting Fooked! in the long run

...I've always been a soil farmer, so I dunno' about rock wool for seedlings...clones Yeah...just seems like a less than perfect medium for babies in regards to moisture levels...like Tead, I'm somewhat lazy and also have a lifestyle that can separate me and the girlz for a few days...soil affords me that freedom...personally,I'd lean towards peat and/or coco pucks before going into the hempys's...but...that's just me..cheerz..h00k...

Take care of your guts........... Dude I've had a high opium-based dependency since 1986. A big problem with that is your stomach as all know that deal with that. I take it,, that's not you................ Is me............. and man that shit kills your stomach... So Iunderstand things like that. My wife had to give up red sauce on a pizza after opiods trashed her guts. She had to drop grains and all the nightshades (potato, chili, tomato,etc) Just in the last 6 months, after 18 months of eliminating foods, she is starting to experiment with adding back in a small dose of something and watching how body reacts. So far, she can tolerate small servings of things a few days apart. - My wife took medical Anatomy and Physiology in college and passed her professional boards right before her body collapsed on her. - Which is all to say I have a very knowledgable guide in this stuff. I give you my folksy interpretation, but I get high quality medical advice behind the scenes

If ya got the room, a 5gal hempy pot can go for a week or more without attention.
All I'm trying to say,,,, and your "Old Lady' probably said, no disrespect', for terms "Old Lady', you may have an ulcer? Kind of sounds like a hole in the guts that don't heal...... I've had the problem with err certain problems. Side effects for pain killers. I just recently had them remove an internal morphine pump acouple years back. So I 'really' understand pain medications,,, I just now got oral med's more or less dailed in,,,, less as far as I'm concerned. But it will probably be less as far as I'm concerned the rest of my life.... Being the addict I am????? I really don't mean that,,, but I have come to the conclusion,, I'll be on some kind of meds for the rest of my days......... Ifin I eat a pizza the way I like it,,,, I pay or it for 3-4 days.............. Just my couple cents............ Hope lies doing great and Keepem Green

I germ my seeds in a cup of ro water over night then in a paper towel for the day some take over the next night to pop a tail then i start my seeds in a 20 oz foam cup of perlite and every1 that has a tail has popped up 4 me using this perlite plan idk if it would work for u or not but after she or he gets like one or two nodes u can put it into a pot of soil or keep it in the perlite cup to do it hempy style hope this helps u out brotha ive been having great success with this wayI've been really busy doing non-420 gardening stuff. Sorry to be neglectful.
This morning I tossed away my Lilly that had done a double reveg - she is the only one showing stress and with what she has gone through will never give a good yield.
I have a clone of Lilly that is 10x12x12". This plant was pulled, root washed to recover the perlite, and tossed in the worm food bin.
Speaking of which, my worm bins stopped eating. After 2 years, I may have to buy more worms.
UltraDawg is not looking very feminine. She is sitting outside the flower room in the dark getting her final chance to show female flowers.
I need to come up with a seed starting plan for hempy. On hand, I have perlite, soil, rockwool cubes, and humidity domes.
Suggestions?

I've still been having issues with the gallbladder and have been told it will continue to give problems off and on, so I scheduled the surgery to have it removed. I hate going to the doctor. It has been about ten years since the last visit. Maybe I can go at least another ten years. Insurance sucks too. My copay is 2500 and just in time for Christmas.

Have you considered taking medically significant doses of cannabis?
By that I mean oils, not just smoking.
Cannabis is some serious medicine for serious diseases.
If it isn't urgent, you might prove that doctor wrong. His kids might get less Christmas presents, but it's good for the brats - builds character.
P.S. No pictures today. It wasn't a watering day and I skipped looking at the girls today.

Hey there Canada Guy. As long as the family keeps smoking, I plan to keep growing!
I actually did some serious smoking in November for pain control. I was going to smoke for pleasure after I got done with a plumbing emergency yesterday. Then the girl collected my 2 favorite pieces for bong cleaning day. She cleaned all the bongs but didn't get to the water hammers and pipes.
I'm such a creature of habit, I only want to smoke out of the pieces I like to smoke. A creature of habit like a cat - ha!

I'm going to start with 2 homemade seeds. Once I have success, I'll start 2 commercial seeds.
I have 4 Borderliner self-made seeds from a banana, so I'm running one of them. Borderliner is an indica dominant hybrid with great body effects.
I have a White Widow (male) x Hawaiian Skunk (female) that left me half a pill bottle full of seeds from 18 month ago. I stored them in a pill bottle rather than a baggie so the seeds dried out a bit. It might take a little more effort to get them to start. We'll see.

I've seriously considered it. All I have to do is miss a dose of my cana caps and I have another attack. Had that happen yesterday. The things that happen if it ruptures scares me. The hospital called today and said the copay is 5,000. This is going to be expensive. 7,500 so far and I'm sure there will be other bills for things like anesthesia. Wish I had known sooner.

Flower Area Update
Carnival (14 days)
She's a happy plant. Not much stretch - maybe 2" so far.
I only have 3 girls in the flower area (out of a potential 6) so she's spreading outward more than upward.
Her buds are just starting to show, so she has a few more inches of stretch in her.
Carnival (54 days)
Lots of well aged fan leaves.
Let me pick off some brown leaves.
That's better. I've had greener Carnival with better buds. I am not doing my best at soil rebuilding, root building, and watering here.
She has a lot of small, firm buds
At 54 days, her pistils are turning sooner than expected - her mother went 68 days and her grandmother 75 days.
This is an average, middle of the plant, small, firm bud
Guawi (70 days)
Guawi looks windblown - but her branches are strong
Guawi has more buds than you see at first glance
All but one of her colas are growing sideways, but they are growing like upright colas
Here - I'll turn the photos on their side so you can see a couple of colas.
Ace Guawi is Old Malawi Killer (sativa) crossed with Tikal (Sativa / 75% Guatemala) - I'm hoping this strain sends my family flying.
I'm guessing both Carnival and Guawi willl harvest in about 2 weeks.
The flower area will probably get 2-5 more plants from veg in the next few weeks, so it might actually reach full - we'll see
I've 7 girls in veg right now. 10-14 would probably be better. I'd like to increse the number with new strains, but I should probably do some cloning until the seeds take off.
Okay, that's what I'll do, grab more clones - (2) Carnival, (2) Haze x Kali China, (2) Guawi. I'll need some starter cups to fit them all under the lights. Thanks folks. It's good to have a plan.

That totally sucks. A responsible medical service would have had you on cannabis years ago so your body didn't get to this point.

Sweet bro yea i had a freebie seed of borderliner once but wen I took clones of it my cloner bucket had a miss Hap by a mishap i mean i forgot to plug it back in for 2 days b4 i noticed so lost my clones and that was one of the genetics i lost. I have wanted to get it back in rotation tho cuz it was some good meds that's for sure sux i only got 2 plants of it tho but oh well live and learn right? That sounds so familiar.
My first cloner bucket sprays against the walls of the bucket, so you can lift the lid and inspect without unplugging the water pump. I got VERY used to that. My second cloner bucket is larger, but the water sprays up like sprinkler heads. I tried using it for a couple of weeks, but I lost clones because I kept forgetting to plug it back in - 3 or 4 times in about two weeks. I'm back to using my first one again
I've never done the colloidal silver thing to self some seeds, but 1 of my 3 previous Borderliners grew a nanner, so maybe I'll get lucky and the seed of the nanner will grow another nanner and I can harvest some seeds. I have 4 current nanner seeds. One is tiny, one is soaking, the other 2 look viable. If I get new seeds/viable seeds I'll be thinking of you.
