Queen's Garden of Green

Need to go to sporting goods store and get an emergency blanket or two for the walls.

Good to see you have tile underneath, easy clean-up.

Grats, y'all!

or a cheap roll of foil! :cheesygrinsmiley:

survival blankets are better...you can cover the doorway with them and still see as they are like 10-20% transparent, and they are stronger than foil and wont rip when using sticky tape to hold them in place, and you can rip them down, move them around and use them again and again....and in the uk you get 2 the size of single duvets for £1, lol. think thats as much or more area than you will get with foil of the same price.

Yup. I got 18 survival/emergency blankets, 52"x84" for a total area of 542 sq ft. for 6 bucks. That's 3/$1!! Now the ones I have (3mil) a little fragile, so I have to be careful when cutting them to size, but as long as I get my cuts clean, they're quite a bit stronger than foil, and 3x more reflective.

Buying them as single, they're 1-2 bucks.

haha i love all this experimenting..its propper mend and make do mentality...suvival blankets for reflectors...mesh bins as air pots...soon i hope to announce a new way to clone (not new but we mj growers dont seem to use it)

now if only i can find a way to macguyver a highbrix grow, lol

I found some molasses at the Tractor Supply Store, it's a chainstore that caters to rural areas and handles lots of farm products, they sell a gallon of mollasses for 9.95, 85 percent Brix, not as supplemental as black strap molasses, but much cheaper, and it will last you a long time. the store also goes by TSS.

You're not alone! We all started this wonderful journey right where you are now... First time, knowing very little about cannabis, even though some might have had some other growing plants successfully. Let me know when you get your thread started, and I'll sub up and lend a hand if you need. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I think teamwork is the only way to get the best results for your grow space and situation for the first-time grower, and you're now part of the biggest, and best team anywhere!

Ditto, what he said, we're all here to learn and teach together, I wouldn't have done it without the experience and knowledge you will find on this site, just keep checking in and asking questions, also check out old postings for answers.

All of You are definitely Masters of Improvisation!!!:bravo: It is the absolute BEST WAY to get Things Done(SMARTLY and CHEAPLY) for that matter!!!:hmmm: My Wife has a whole Boatload of Packaging Materials for Meds that Require Refrigeration that are shipped in the Mail. They are Styrofoam Squares about 12 inches by 8 inches in size, that are covered with a Reflective Material similar to what is on survival Blankets. We have a whole shed full of Them, a Friend of Ours Used them to Insulate and use the Refracted Light they Produce, for His Grow Room. I thought it was a pretty Good use of Something, We Probably would have Thrown away!!! So You See, Improvisation!!! Anything that will Work, as Good or Better, on The Cheap!!!:slide: That is what Smart Growing is all About!!!:goodjob: And apparently, We all seem to have that down Pat. I am Liking Your Thread/Site QueenTokelove!!!:yahoo: SINCERELY, JAMESTHEGREEN.

He has it up now and posted pics of his little seedlings. And he would appreciate you and Fish's help. We moved the plants to the closet, with how the outlets are, cords are running everywhere. We have a humidifier in the closet but we don't have a cord long enough to run the fan. Plus I think we are going to need another fan. That will be the next thing we get when we get paid. But here is a pic of what the closet looks like. I almost forgot, I took some seeds from a habernero pepper, I think it is and put it in coco too. Hope it grows.

You can get quantity good quality off of Ebay, I think I paid $5.00 for 8 of them, and they're good sized, lined my first cardboard box with them prior to buying a used tent on craigslist.

James, I know what you're talking about, I dumpster dived 2 of these stryofoam boxes with lids, no lining, I think it's for insulin, I used mine to put bulbs in and also placed my frozen water filled bottles to place in grow room to help with heat and humidity, great stuff, use it.

I am using a couple medical coolers for outdoor dwc. I have two that hold 7 gallons, 5 gallons of nutes and room to spare. They are SUPER temp stable. Also have a 1 1/2 gallon medical cooler that serves as a outdoor dwc for a rosemary plant.

:Namaste:

Yeah he finally made it, he has to learn his way around the site. I am here for him when it comes to his grow. I told him to ask you guys questions that you love to help.

Hi Queen and King.

Glad you are giving it a try King! Just ask any of us for help.....don't think you'll need too much, with that good grower you live with. I'm happy for you both. Wish I had someone to grow with!:Namaste:
