Holy crap Queen look at those plantas!!!:goodjob::thumb::circle-of-love::adore:

Things are not going well for my mother at the moment so my full attention is at her hands, yet I have still been keeping up with journals. Don't know if another one is in the works right away, but I have enough fun seeing the progress of others!! such as your beautiful trophies!!!:high-five::bravo:

Thank you very much for the naming, hehe, that was very kind of you and honestly, I am extremely impressed on how your plants are doing, as well as your knowledge for your enviroment. Keep up the fantastic work =)=)!!

About the balls, lol, I don't think it's a big problem, just try to pick them off as you see them. Worst comes to worst, you will still get some decent seeded bud, it won't yield as much or as well quality as a sinsemilla(seedless) plant but it is still good medicine =)=)

re: QT's Second Grow - 1st Journal

I'll be praying for your mother. Mine is in very bad shape too, may not be long.....I am very saddened by it, as is the rest of our family, she is our center....

Thank you very much GT :Love:

I've never been in this position before, and it makes it so much harder when the person who's ill is still looking for all the positives. Every day is a prayer/blessing/miracle

My prayers are stongly sent to your family GT:Love:

Sorry to hear about your mother, Miss Bud. I have been there, I lost all my parents. I say all because I was adopted but also knows my biological mother. They all have passed, I still think about them and miss them. So I understand how you are feeling. I hope that naming my plant after you, cheered you up just a little bit...Your name sake is doing well except for the yellowing fan leaves, it almost looks like a golden plant. I wish I could take good pics to show you but it doesn't show well with my cam. Waiting on CalMag to get here tomorrow or Tuesday. Yeah I did pick off last night what I did see. I really haven't paid any of them much attention today since my bf went to the hospital with chest pains. They don't know what is going on at the moment but has him hooked up to the ekg. I will keep you in my prayers.

I will be praying for your mom too GT.

re: QT's Second Grow - 1st Journal

209-- I have different sized pots...some 1 gallon and 4 that are 3 gallons. I have not checked the 3 gallon pots for being root bound. I don't think that they are. The gallon pots seem to get root bound really quick though I would have to say, not to the degree that yours are along the sides but the bottom, well you see from the pic.

re: QT's Second Grow - 1st Journal

WOW I have never heard of anyone cutting the roots off!!! You have some Cajones there girl.... I know I am a noob but shit I am usually afraid to trim the leaves or pull some yellowing or dead laevs off.... This doesn't stress them out? I have heard that if you stress them out in flower they go hermie on you... don't know if its true or not....but I am trying to make sure thats not the case....

Haha, yeah my cajones is mucho grande!!!! I didn't cut the roots on the plants that is in flower just the ones that are in veg. Oh, I am sure that it does stress them out. This is the second time that I have done it. They recovered quite well the first time. And I am sure they will be alright. I didn't have any other choice because I don't have any other pots to move them to right now. If I didn't trim the roots then they would become more root bound and die. What made me do this is that I saw a video on the tube where someone was trimming the roots like I did. And it is true that if you stress them during flower that they could hermie on you. One of my plants in flower did hermie but that was because the bf kept going in the other room watching tv and I think the light got to her. I ripped the nanas off of her. I will check later to see if any more have popped up.

That is very sad Queen :sorry:

If you ever have anything you wish to talk about, don't hesitate to pm me one second girl, the only way to overcome things is to become somewhat comfortable with them..and yes, easier said than done ;)

p.s...The yellowing leaves you mentioned could actually be a nitrogen deficiency or sulfur deficiency imho.

Sulfur: young leaves turn lime-green to yellowish. Veins remain green, and leaf stems and petioles turn purple. The symptoms should be more obvious in the older leaves. The deficiency is caused by pH being too high

Nitrogen: older bottom leaves turning entirely yellow, more and more leaves yellow, and leaves might develop reddish-purple stems and veins on leaf undersides.

re: QT's Second Grow - 1st Journal

Here is my take:
There is more than plenty nitrogen amd sulphur in the nutes. It has to be your pH. The ph level is what dictates what nutrients are available to your plants. Whatever you need to do to get it at about 6.5 needs to be done. Also, minerals in your water can be causing lockout. If your tap water is full of minerals (hard water), an abundance of calcium, magnesium, etc, could be negatively affecting the uptake of other nutes.

re: QT's Second Grow - 1st Journal

Still waiting on the CalMag to get here....I am sure you're right Corey just atm I don't have any way to check ph. But I will give some lemon juice to try to lower it....Correction, just checked the mail and the CalMag is here!!!! Yippee, so once lights come on I will flush all the plants and give them nutes, molasses and the calmag.

re: QT's Second Grow - 1st Journal

Quick update, CalMag has come. I am going to flush, feed, and give the CalMag with vinegar along with some molasses. Right now I am waiting for the other plants to drain. Will add more tomorrow if there are any changes.

I know, Propa found it one time. I tried to look it up last night after I read your post but couldn't find jack...

I flushed, fed, and gave the girls some CalMag mixed with vinegar along with some molasses. I picked off most of the yellow leaves on Miss Budd. I did leave some because I mean she still has over a month left of flowering. I figured when she gets what she needs out of them they will fall off. I really felt bad doing it, felt like I was violating her. I hope I will see some type of improvement today when lights come on. I will add some current pics too.

I have been keeping an eye on CannaVanna for more nanas but haven't seen anymore. I am noticing that she seem to have a burst of something because the buds are getting bigger and the pistils more hairy. I am going to try to look at the trichs again. Last time I checked them, they were clear and just starting to form. I also noticed that some of the pistils are starting to turn orange..Does that mean anything?

I always thought it was bad to cut a plants roots, but after having a bonsai tree I found that trimming the roots is better for the plant than letting them keep growing. The roots will grow so much that they will take up all the room. When this happens the plant stops absorbing nutes. Oh and by the way QT I was wondering what does the molasses do for the plant?

I thought it was too til I saw that video on the tube. But then I figured if you don't do anything the plant will get root bound, root rot and die. I believe I asked this and someone said it would be better to trim. I always wanted a bonsai tree but I don't know the first thing about them. I just like the way they grow. I have heard people here mention bonsai with their plants but I don't know what they mean. Technically, I don't know what molasses does for the plant just that the plant seems to like something in it. Ask BID and let me know, if not someone will come along and tell us what it does.

When they are talking about bonsai they are talking about causing the plant to grow the way you want it to. keeping it short or bushy. The only reason a bonsai grows the way it does is because you can train it to grow to the side or like a bush, you tie the branches down. About the molasses BID said the microbes like the sugar and the plants can use the sulfur if you get the molasses the has sulfur in it if not pretty much it is just really good for the soil.
