Pyramid Purple & DNA Chocolope Under CFL - 2nd Grow

Hello guys, im terribly desperated. I just started my first time outdoor crop with 3 strains (chocolope, swiss cheese and Super lemon haze). and im having trouble to grow plants of Chocolope (DNA genetics).
Here is a brief information on the growing site: its an outdoor place in Brazil, plants get direct sun from 9:00 am to 18:00 pm, receiving water once or two times a day, the only fertilizer i used til now is worm humus (mixed in the soil), plants have 25 days of life.

The problem: All of them are very good but chocolope plants. I germinated 3 seeds, 2 already died last week, and the only one left are like the photos below.

Can you guys tell what i am doing wrong with them ? Ty Ty Ty Ty Ty (im a complete noob).

No idea dude, I know mine wanted nutes a lot earlier than I was expecting and seems to still be quite nute hungry. It could be that but I would ask one of the more experienced guys..

I just gave the girls another feed. Upped the dose a tiny bit for Chocky and switched purple to my flower mix. Another drop of detergent in the feed to keep the gnats at bay and no more Trio-Bac. I got given a sample pack of Mykos and Azos which I want to try on their next water.

First up is my flower nutes:

Peace ya'll!

OMG Jessssss, u have purps and they are sprouting. Looks like cirurgy worked !!! =P

I hope this plant develop multiple beautiful colas, just keep posting photos i wanna see them.

By the way your flower nute has a high concentration of Nitrogen, i don´t have the courage to feed my girls with that early. You are the man...lol.

My crop is outdoor, so anything can happen to them. At least my Super Lemon Haze are going great.

Lets keep the world green, peace =)

PS: Sorry about my english, im just trying to learn (im from Brazil).

Thanks for the comment, Vai Meu Rei. I also hope these girls treat me as well as I try to treat them.. Do you think my flower nutes have too much N? Interesting because I have noticed a little bit of claw leaf happening here and there, I'm not sure if it's more droopiness from under watering or what.. They all seem happier today than the last few days and that's after a good feed and water last night. :D

Pyramid Seed's Purple @ 29 days.

Finally, here is Advanced Seeds Biodiesel Mass @ a week today. Very compact, she's basically just sitting on the vermaculite, chillin..

It looks as though you're in more than capable hands already Jesstar. Sphnx is a guru of info & not afraid to share any of it accept his magic potion :cheesygrinsmiley: Sorry Sphnx but you know I had to go there. Anyway I'm here for the show and let us know how the Broke Azz Gnat Spray works for you.

Also if you have any questions or need help diagnosing anything you can always post it on New City Grower 2.0 I run an open thread over there that's been known for getting to the bottom of things due to the willing & able to help great growers that are subbed.

A few other great threads with loads of help is Light Addict's, Buckshots, and of course King John C's journals & this is just scraping the iceberg.

That's so true man. This site and it's posters are fantastic. I've read a few of L.A's threads and journals and lots ot King John C's work. I haven't yet had the pleasure of 'bumping into' Buckshot yet. Perhaps I'll take a meander over to his page.. :)

Everything looks good on this side although Chocky's leaves are all a bit on the pale and droopy side, looking like they want to go yellow. Stems are also massively purple again..
I'll check both lasses tmoz and post an update.

They seem thirstier and thirstier.. This is good!

Those little bugs might be what we call "midges" or "no-see-ums". The females bite humans like a mosquito but it's a little more intense even though they are puny as hell and the males and females both eat plants. The sweeter the better. Only the females bite humans because they need your blood to feed the egg sacks. If they are midges, good luck. They're almost impossible to get rid of and they make you angry trying to kill them. The good news is they won't hurt your plants if they are midges. You should buy a book on plant parasites or go to your grow shop and ask them for help. there's a shitload of predator insects for all kinds of parasite problems brother. Also, that white stuff on your leaves, is that water residue or could it be powdery mildew? If it's powdery mildew, put 2 TBSP od cider vinegar to each gallon of water and hose it down. A few days later, hose it down with the same ratio of water/hydrogen peroxide. If that don't work, wait a few days and spray them with the same ratio of milk/water. Don't use the same treatment twice in a row because powdery mildew adapts and overcomes your countermeasures. It's a war in the garden and the parasites want to win.

Looks good bud. Didn't see if you were using any cal/mag. Perhaps a few drops of it and you will be golden. In the future a very easy way to combat gnats is using double sided tape. Seal off area around stem and catch the eggs falling from leaves and the gnats shooting out of the soil. Adding Damascus earth is also a cheap prevent

Hey DarknessDude,
thanks for the advice. I'm not using Cal/Mag, no. Do my plants show signs of that? I just snapped a few little brown spots before their feed so I'll post them shortly.
My gnat problem is a pain but they seem to have stopped growing in numbers, now I just need to eradicate them.. The Diatamacious soil or whatever it's called is near impossible to get here! I was so disappointed, it seems like awesome stuff.

I'm just deciding if I should do a little defol on purps. Not sure, being an auto it may be a bad idea..

Thanks for getting involved man, anything else you can help out with, please feel free. :D

Welcome Cannacrazy, cheers for your help as well.
The little pests aren't midges TG. :p I hate midges, they harrass the he'll out me playing golf.. Haha.

The white stuff is just a residue from the garlic, pyrethrum, chilli spray and the dishsoap, hydro-peroxide sprays I alternate between. Hopefully be gone by medication time.. ;)

To defol, or not to defol?
That, is the question!

Cheers 420'ers.

Here is the real update..
Purple @ 30.
Choco @ 26.
BioD Mass @ 8..

Purpy has some yucky brown spots and some droopy baby leaves. Other than that(and the MASSIVE internode stretching that's going on) I'm pretty darn ok with her. She's still less than a foot tall..

Happy holidays, everyone. Hope you're having a cheeeeelin December..

Here is a quick update. As always, I welcome(and beg for) any advice and input people can provide.
Purple is slowly thickening up but a lot of her hairs are turning red and it seems way too early. I'm not sure if it's too hot for them in their house or what. Also, most of her new, small leaves are curling down, clawing/ canoeing.. Not good..

Miss Chocolope looks pretty good. Not sure if FIM worked quite the way it's supposed to but hey.. I tried another on a small shoot.. hehe.

IMAG07477.jpg
IMAG07488.jpg

Not sure what this is, female or male?? Bit strange..

Here's little BioDiesel Mass, I'm nominating myself for Most Compact Auto.. Hehe.

Speak up, friends! :D

Oh yeah, that "Diatamacious" earth or whatever (I never remember right either) is for sale on Amazon. That's where I bought mine. Honestly though, just keeping the medium drier and emptying overflow water gets rid of them anyways. It's kind of a pain to put on, then you have to reapply every watering. The plants don't like the conditions those gnats live in anyways with standing water or pretty moist soil. So you really don't need it if you keep it drier IMO. I wish there were micro gnat sized drones with little rockets. I'd go and hunt every gnat down shock and awe style, lol. Mig at 6 o'clock. It's the gnatster blaster!

Hey Jesstar!!

I'll try and provide what input I can! You're grow is looking really good!

It seems to me (and I'm no expert haha) that your Purple lady might be suffering from Nitrogen Toxcicity... Or in other words to many nutes. I had the same thing happen to one of my ladies a couple weeks back. Watch for necrosis on the affected leaves, that'll determine if my theory is correct. Other than that she looks great! I wouldn't worry about your pistils turning red, all strains and phenotypes mature differently, just gotta go by what those beautiful little Trichomes look like under a microscope! :)

I wish I could offer insight into the fimming issue, however I myself don't have much experience doing it so my advice wouldn't be that noteworthy. I do think she lookps nice and healthy though! And I'm on board giving you award for Stumpiest Auto.. Haha everything is lookin great my man, keep it up!

Did I mention I'm growing a purple urkle hybrid (crossed with jack herer)? Massive trich-hole. It's like the black hole of trichome heads. Wait till I hit these dank ladies with some supplemental uvb in the last week or 2.
