PW's Multi Strain Grow Under Mars Hydro Pro II Epistar 160

Jack, what 300w led? If Mars, if you're aiming for nice buds, stick to 1 plant per light.

Your purple envy is looking really good. It's interesting to see that yours seems to be growing differently. I assume it's the light. LED vs HPS. None of my PE's have stretched much at all. They stretch about 20% and that's it. Could also be that I'm vegging my plants longer than you are, and as such getting less stretch. My current PE in flower is a big girl. About 3,5 ft in height. Excluding the pot. Hoping she yields well with the new feeding routine.

What do you think of the bud development on your PE? Do you find her an easy plant to grow?

Ah... Untopped. The mains threw me off. I have noticed she throws a lot of lateral branching. Making her naturally bushy.

You should top her next time bud. She goes f'kn berserk then. When you start taking cuts from her she keeps throwing new tops with ease. Truly a beginner friendly plant.

I'm not knocking you. Makes complete sense to leave plants untrained when working with limited floor space. I sometimes leave plants untrained simply because I like that natural xmas tree look.

For sure. I sometimes wonder just how much weight topping actually adds.

Lots lol

Depending on when you do it. If you let a plant grow like a beanstalk and top it just before flower I wouldn't expect big results but if you take a seedling and top it early on and you can get a nice even split with the stems close to the bottom of the main stalk it definitely helps boost an even flow of nutrients and water uptake through all the stems. In turn it will help the photosynthesis at the top of the plant pull nutrients on a more evenly distributed flow from the roots.

Topping plants when they are already old and tall will add nothing for ya.

I've run side by side comparisons, (not always intentionally) and while topping does add some weight, it's not nearly as much as I thought it would be. I know some strains respond better to topping than others, and of course topping should be done early on. I like to top twice before flipping. Now that I'm taking more clones though, we have longer veg periods and big plants that end up with 20 or more tops. Would be interesting to see how one of those plants fares against the same genetics with the same veg period.

Hey PW...:ciao:...got my contest seeds from Gorilla yesterday...can't believe how generous they are with freebies...among the freebs were a 1/2 dozen PE's, so I'll be following yours as well...my personal seed bank continues to grow...gonna be some tuff' choices in the spring...:hmmmm:...first world problems!......cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:
