PW's Multi Strain Grow Under Mars Hydro Pro II Epistar 160

Cheese always perplexed me...

Crazy about the shit and cheese conversation.

I was just doing a taste test of the outlying, more Sativa cookie pheno and its awesome lemon/lime mainly, bit of licorice with an exhaust of something spicy ...and vomit lol. Unmistakable, it comes through the nose...

They are just barely off of the rack though have some time before I will know for sure.

Hey PW. Quick question. How much is bud density related to environment vs genetics do you think?
I'll be damned but this run is light /wispy also and I had more light, a bit cooler temps.
The only things that I can think of are either poor defoliating, or the high humidity throughout much of the run.
My next run, are phenos seen are all supposed to be rock hard so I am hoping with humidity under control I can finally get it right.

No seeds!! :) progress.

The high humidity would play a big part, with high humidity plants drink less and take up less nutrients. Lots of led light should produce nice dense nugz if everything else is dialed in.

It's funny that you mention the LED light because that was my first instinct...

considering also the fact that that my most likely keeper dark plasma is a bit stretchy it would be nicer to get her under a better spectrum.

With LED..The Quality of light is the key...NOT the quality of the light producing device.
Combined with proper environments...your buds will be Rock'en the house.

Right now I think the PCB's are the ticket hands down but Growmaus and Photon Phantom have both said the major down side to the traditional led devices is heat. Control the temps and they can produce very good product.

Was discussing options for the new year.
The wife doesn't like the window shaker running in winter lol. I don't blame her...
We can run it open to the home up to 600w of HPS... Which now that we have our meds we don't NEED to run a 5x5 1Kw setup... :)
Shes talking mini split, but a much better solution by far all around is an LED in the flower tent. Less power, less cooling, even more savings.

I think her main gripe is that I spent like 250 bucks on the ballast and Light along with another hundred on bulbs Etc. I get it.

She doesn't want it to go to waste.

Well hopefully soon I'll have something in there that I feel is worthy, thanks for all the great input and information guys as well as the conversation

Kick her out. The time and stress you'll save will give you plenty of money for a multitude of lighting options

So penny. With regards to lighting. Here's a funny question for you that I feel I should know better but am unsure of.
I was looking for a couple 100w cfl's I like to dangle them in low lit areas in veg and above seedlings etc... hardware store doesn't carry them anymore. I went to 3 different hardware stores. Seems like cfl's are phasing out and being replaced by all kinds of led technology. I see these one leds that are bright white I'm pretty sure 6700k spectrum. I'm wondering if these have enough plant value to run in place of cfl's. I didn't pick any up because I'm not one to experiment on funny things like that but I really wonder if they can be used as a tiny supplemental lighting in small areas and low lighting areas. Any idea?
