PW's First Attempt At Aeroponics & PS1000 LED

Well that's good news you did it daily ? From seed ? I'm in week two so being careful as I know the nitro can go high but I'm loving ph perfect .

Everyone I met here that tried AN absolutely love it, but still, I am hard headed and since GH for the most part work also, as is, save for a very minor PH shift with a PH adjuster, I choose to stay with them and have even built a dosing system to pump it all, just need to work out some bugs.

As far as silica, I don't add that till roughly week 3 after good rooting. Week 1 is a root stimulant and base nutes only, week 2 is calmag and week 3 I add in the silica. No rhyme or reason though. My feed chart tells me to pile everything in on week 1, but this I think is predicated on a 3 week veg period (SOG), but I will veg each for about 10 weeks, so I want to give them a little more than enough to thrive, plus I know GH just wants me to empty these bottles out faster so I can get more in a hurry.

Edit - My weeks often vary between 4 and 9 days, so veg changes I do more frequent, bloom I try to do less frequent.

My babies get a very small dose of base nutes plus z7, sensizyme and calmag. Second week i start adding the AN roots tribe (bennies). 3rd week i start increasing dosages slowly and add Mammoth P.

It's like driving a stick, it's not wise to go quickly from 1st gear to 3rd gear when going up a hill.

It is safe in terms that it won't kill anything, but it is dangerous as it can shift PH upwards, plus being in soil, the grower would want a highly diluted solution (maybe 1ml/gal or slightly more). Silica also makes for a good foliar spray up till early bloom.

Yeah I am too late for foliar sprays (just past the halfway point of flower). I Looked at most of the silicas in the grow store up the street and they all said for hydro or coco growing only (essentially avoid the organic soils). So right now I am trying to find something to use to strengthen the plant cells so they can support the buds (they are falling over on one of my sativa plants). One recommendation was some kelp teas which I will mix up for tomorrow's watering. I have emailed the maker of my organic soil to see what his recommendations are for my issue. Worse case scenario I will tie them up, its just a huge pain with the plant location inside my tent and the lack of room around the outside of my tent.

Not too bad then, it could definitely be worse than that. Hopefully your be snuggled up in bed in no time! What time is it where you are?

Lol i really miss those days but hopefully i can do some landrace strains and get close to what we had back then.
My partner and I grew a 16 foot tall plant out in our bush plots once, too. All the others in that plot that season were only 14 foot. Never watered them once. And the buds were as good as any skunks I tasted in Amsterdam. Something about the Australian bush/climate grows super strong buds. It's just too hard now. Our old plots are in an area where the army treks thru for training - and looking for plants. And thieves. Kangaroos ate a grow one year, too! Hence my change to indoor now...hoping to learn to grow some buds like 'back in the days.'.
