Purple Pics

@Bill284, @oldg, @ReservoirDog, @Savvage61, @CaptainLucky, @Chuckeye, you guys have made me feel very welcome here. Very interesting topic, posts, and always nice to have my art recognised and especially discussed. My apologies for having the text come out bold in the one post. I know how that is done, but have no idea what I did, sure didn't intend to do that.
I'll have many more images to share here in the future as I'm ending a grow now and capturing over a thousand frames a day. Plus venturing into video of my diorama work, which all keep my mind busy, one of the best relief systems I've found for chronic pain...again thanks guys..DD

Finally got some Purple to show of, had to turn off my lights before I noticed it LOL But My first real purple pic of this grow

I was 12 or 13 when I took the TTC 2 hours to downtown Toronto, Maple Leaf Gardens.
I won tickets from Q 107, floor seats for Rush.
My first concert .
Was absolutely amazing, I was hooked.
Both on Rush , already and live concerts.
I've seen almost everyone who came through Toronto in the 70's and 80's.
Wild stories too.
Sneaking back stage to Gold Record parties .
Singing Sledge Hammer with Peter Gabriel at Maple Leaf Gardens.
Oh the stories.
I was afraid of nothing growing up heights , speed , danger , authorities and rules.
You know that little switch that says nope don't do that.
I had a major concussion when i was 6.
Damaged the impulse control segment of my brain.
But I didn't find all this out until much later.
No wonder my old man beat the daylights out of me.
I was 11 years old when I started skipping school to go to the Blue Jay games, their Opening Season.
School never phone called back then, and I loved baseball.
But none of that mattered.
It all gave me an adrenaline rush, didn't have that sense of fear most people get.
Thats why I took to racing motorcycles at such a young age.
My old man made me a deal if I behaved he would buy me the RM I wanted.
It was used by then , fairly cheap.
Mistake ;)
That just had the cops chasing me all over the place.
Great adrenaline rush, till they figured out where I lived.
Was only 11 the first time I had the cops show up at my door.
Wish i still had that bike.
But i loved racing the most .
Id rip over the biggest jumps i could find, ride full throttle regardless. :surf:
It made for an interesting child hood.
But it wasn't just concerts.
I even snuck into the Kansas City Royals Dug Out. During the payoffs.
The look on George Brett's face was priceless.
Jays got knocked out in the ALCS that year. 😩
That story is absolutely crazy i almost got arrested 3 times that night.
Did spend an hour in hand cuffs though.
I was only 7 the first time I was handcuffed.
SOB cop, handcuffing a bunch of kids.
That's when I learned the phrase " you fit the description "
I been 6'1 with long blonde hair most of my life, nobody fits my feken description.
PRICK gave me a healthy distain for authority.
Especially cops.
Never spent a night in jail though. :thumb: Night!!!. Hehe.
Some might say an ill spent youth, but I'm terrible at pool.;)
Take care my friend.
Talk soon.

Edit I found the set list “ unbelievable “

Yup I Was There :theband::theband::theband::passitleft:
I saw them for the first time on this tour.
My concert was at the Long Beach arena in SoCal.
Pat Travers was the opener, .38 Special played 2nd, then the awe inspiring set of hard Prog Rock listed above closed the night out. It was decades ago, but I still remember it like it was just a few years ago...
Xanaduuuuuuuuu!

ReservoirDog I'll have to agree a bit with Stunger but add a little. The light is a reflection of what lighting is used, but I rarely use ring light on my trich shots and some of them display the same thing. The bright spot in this image was definitely

the one single bulb! So refraction, but wow, in the middle of writing you RD have posted something I have to think about, good observation my friend, sorry I couldn't be more help, I was schooled, 4 years high school photography assistant...so much for that, cheers..DD

This is one of the best and finest photos of trichomes I’ve ever seen.
Marvelous @DoobieDuck !

I can't remember who opened.
Just remember the energy and sound of the show.
I was hooked. :yahoo:
Wait.... I’m sorry. This thread is for enjoying each other’s purple bud.

I'm seriously thinking about a heated floor

Mostly for the 5 x 5 Flower room

Veg room might be 4 x 4 - 2 levels 10 foot

@Bill284 Method

No, thank you DoobieDuck.

Man, this pic. I love when the purple colouration (anthocyanin) gets picked up into the trichs. It must be extremely soluble stuff. I also love me a good sugar leaf, fighting for attention against actual flowers, and, sometimes, winning our attention! We're fortunate to have this information platform to so easily access each other's work. Casual as it may be, life-changing inspiration often lies only a page away.

DD, it sounds really interesting what you're up to, and good luck with your harvest. Slow and steady!

Also, you doing stop animation?

I think you've nailed it there, Bill. The complexity level may be high, so you'll have to weigh that factor, but if it's reliable, like really reliable, then that layout sounds sufficient as a heating plan.

I trust that your current stock of lighting fixtures fit these spaces to a tee.

The vegging plants will be happy enough on an insulated floor, likely happier when sapping heat from an active flower room but not dependent on it, and the above-propagation space will benefit from the veg. room airspace underneath provided a light or heater is on anywhere in the building.

Now, in my locale, buildings of such quality can be heated with a candle in the winter, so consider that my "Proper Canadian Winter" measurements may be a little rusty.

Fekking dream shack mate.

Maybe don't tell Shed... you never know, the borders aren't secure after all. 🍁 :laughtwo: :thumb:

It's a great method of heating, just a little extra work and money. No biggie.
I'm hoping the candle theory is correct.
I'm being very diligent about making sure it's insulated properly.
I was looking at foil bubble rolls, stuff is R21 brilliant.
Foam board I put on the outside is only R5. It was expensive too.
But I was thinking of framing the floor up with 2x4 put down roxul plywood and heat cables.
Pour cement on that then tile over top.
I can set it at 18 c and pots will always be perfect.
We see what happens it's all straining the budget.
I could enclose it now but I'd regret not doing this eventually.
We see what happens, depends how much money I can dedicate to it.
I think Shed has come up with the name for it " Canna Cabin "
Double meaning of Canna is cute.
But I'm open to opinions still.;)
Have a great day my friend, I'll talk to you soon.
Take care.

never have to fret about root zone temps. plays well with concrete too if you embed or go over top. also produces some of the most even heat available. cheaper over time.

nice planning bill. love to see that work out. total legacy project.

I've always wanted a dedicated grow room, though about it for years.
Now that I'm building it my original ideas need to be updated.
I was really thinking about a heat pump.
But heating under the pots is way more efficient.
Heat pump will still be good for AC though.
But if I don't need the heating a window shaker might do.
I don't think cooling will be a problem though.
It's a shaded spot, there are no windows and it's air tight.
So just heat from the light at night, might not be bad.
Got a load of firewood last night.
So I'll be stacking wood for a couple days.
Hopefully back to the cabin by Sunday. :thumb:
If I can still walk.
Take care my friend. :high-five:
