It’s finally getting chilly here tonite , only 60 tomorrow, I love it, I’m sick of the heat and humidity, and we’ve had almost no rain in months, my lawn is brown.
Bill I see you raced, motocross is definitely for adrenaline junkies of which I definitely was, I raced only a couple times it was too hairy ,60 people full throttle for the hole shot , no thank you. I had fun out in the gravel pits of which there was many. I had the first model monoshock yz 125 Yamaha I think 76, fuck I’m old lol

I had 1976 RM 100 absolute freeken Tank. I was 11 hehe.
I made it 10 years or so in between injuries, before I retired. ;)
Bought a 1970 Impala when I was 15.
New Tranny and carb and it flew.:surf:
Raced the wheels off it, literally.
Ended up on the neighbors front lawn.
That 76 yz was the envy back in the day.
I still have 2 CRF's in storage.
4 strokes though just not the same.

I started driving in 75, the late 60 early 70s were the true muscle cars. My brother had a 70 powder blue covertable impala, those cars were nice.
Question are you in the line of fire of the hurricane coming up the coast, it’s supposed to hit you guys, stay safe , I live on the coast and took a direct hit from Sandy , that was no joke . We went 2 weeks without power , that sucked that hit in October and it was chilly at nite, I have no doubt you have fire places , be careful

I have a backup generator, plenty of fuel.
A wood airtight fireplace, gas stove and BBQ.
If that doesn't take care of the greenhouse nothing will.
But I'm more central north of Michigan area.
Central Ontario now, near North as it were.
Only thing North of us is mines and logging camps.
I still have a days flight to see a polar bear don't get me wrong.
We have cold stormy weather from it as long as it doesn’t turn left.
Would be havoc in Nova Scotia area.
I'm sorry you had to go through that storm.:Namaste:
I've been through a couple but fortunately nothing like that.
Hopefully the Gazebo and greenhouse are OK.
I have the West End Anchored with a 6" steel pole 5' deep in concrete.
Beside the helmet in the pics.
At least 1 wall will always stay attached to the ground. ;)
Convertibles :green_heart:
After 73 I think it was they brought in the emissions controls and killed Muscle Cars.
But we had a ball with everything that was available back then.
Hopefully this storm falters out and everyone is OK.
We should fill a couple pages with stories one day when you have time.
I bet there were a few to go with that YZ.
Stay warm and dry.

You sound secure, guess you have to be living that far in the woods. What an awesome way to live, where I grew up was all horse farms and apple orchards , that are now aptly named apple ridge and orchard crest. I used to be able to leave my house and walk to the fields to go hunting, now if they saw you walking w a shotgun you’d get arrested. All the people from the city moved in and ruined it. I love my home and yard but once I leave the traffic is ridiculous and the people are as rude as you can get.
Yes I loved my yz I had a 450 on the back that the knobbies were chewed off from the chain, I loved kicking rooster tails , I used to lay her over almost to the ground on turns and I loved jumps, funny thing I was never comfortable until I went down , because I knew I was going down every time I rode.

My best friend growing ups cousin was Mickey Kessler , he was 27th in the world in the open class. He was friends with hurricane Hannah and they’d be in town sometimes, that was always exciting, and bell labs had a facility close to where I live. I loved riding I always wanted to get a street bike but I thought not such a good idea anymore, especially being stoned lol

for the first time in my life I didnt want my plants to have a growth spurt while im moving my tent, of course when I looked at them tonight it looks like a Wild jungle Im afraid I might have to cut my SCROG net to get them out I guess one benefit is I can turn my plants Ill be glad when this is done I did not expect this much of a job all for a portable ac unit not so portable anymore. I just hope they dont drop a lot or break of any experience removing a SCROG at 5-6 weeks?
suggestions?
Thx Guys, back to work

I meant just 2 strokes in general miss those days. What is the 289 or 327?
Possibly the impala, 350 ci. V8 , with 3 speed auto tyranny.
Put in the biggest 4 barrel carb I could find.
Should have put on better breaks. 🙄

That’s what size motor came in 70 Impala, actually they came in earlier models. I think 70 was a 350. Best motor ever made.
It was like a snow mobile.
I don't know if either of you have driven one.
Great in a straight line.
Absolute rocket.
But don't try and turn and you need a runway to stop the dam things at a 100 mph.
Mine had the worst breaks, but you could melt the tires off her.
Dam I wish I still had it.
I was actually going to buy a 56 Chev.
But I told my old man the night before and he flipped.
What are you buying a car that old for was his frame of mind. 😠
I bought the 70 instead, tyranny was wrecked so I got a deal.
You could fit 4 people in the truck to sneak into the drive inn.
It was huge.
Gas was about 25 cents a litre back then.
Good thing too hehe ;)

My sister had a 71 Caprice with a 400. It was heavy, power everything but it was pretty fast.
