Purple Pics

we need to get you a better light brother.
are you gonna move that plant to outdoor or is it inside only ?
I have lights  I won a couple recently, good ones too.
Unfortunately after the fire I can't use them at the moment.
Winter Princess and Queen are both going outside.
I really started WP just to have some roots to wash over the winter for fun.
I got her in soil new years eve , kinda symbolic after the fire.
Just to have a plant in the ground same year as the fire.
I have to build a room away from the house.
Just can't risk it again , I can't put Stacey through that.
I can go up to 108 sqft without any issues.
After that I need drawings and a permit.
But no restrictions on height so it'll be tall. ;)
I was looking at solar power systems but it's an extra 5G's.
So down the road for that.
Thanks for stopping by my friend.

Bill

i think the pic was from @IrishGrower but the sentiment's the same :cheesygrinsmiley:
He has an auto in that pic that's as leggy as can be.
But a lovely lady.
Here is Winter Princess 31/12/21
Winter Queen 31/1/22

Love the idea of solar power Bill, only problem is it's always grey or pissing down here lol
That's the problem here also.

i have a friend who grows in a greenhouse attached to his house. one side of the house is all window. he only uses sunlight, and grows all winter, even flowering when it's -40c outdoor. he supplements light only 2 - 3 hrs a day, and uses the actual daylight cycle to veg and flower his plants.

Wouldn't that be terrific.
I have to build completely separate from the house.
Because of the fire they canceled our house insurance.
Have you ever tried to get insurance after a cancelation.
Anyway it's impossible here.
So I had to pull a rabbit out of an air pot to get the new house covered.
If anything happens ever again I'm screwed.
I'll never get coverage, so I can't do anything adjacent to the house.
I've got 2 rooms upstairs empty with 10 or 11 foot ceilings.
That's part of the reason we picked this house.
Just empty now.
Green house as soon as the snow melts.
And grow room beside but not attached to the house.;)
Although I'd love the setup you mentioned.
Shed said it was 96f yesterday in LA.
It snowed a bit here last night so I might be a bit longer than I'd like.
But soon enough everything will come together. :thumb:

he's on a farm. they can build anything they want. the local insurance agent is just happy to have the business.

the system does not work as advertised, does it ?

i've owned a few old cars over the years and had issues with theft and other stuff. i have to carry extra separate insurance through a different company on my current project. twice it's been cancelled for little apparent reason. i'm actually short on it now, and looking for a third time. they love taking the money though. each time they've taken my cash only to drop my coverage with no refund on the balance.

that's perfect. get your exhaust sorted and let's get going ! :cheesygrinsmiley:

now you're just trying to make me jealous ...

And grow room beside but not attached to the house.

so you're not using the upstairs rooms ? bit confused. are you gonna run 3 spaces ? or just the green house and non attached grow space ?

we're a bit under seasonal here too. snow is pretty well gone, but we've been getting mixed snow / rain the last couple days.

But soon enough everything will come together.

looking forward

First of all I can't risk another fire in the house.
The light that blew up was bran new.
So how can I confidentiality install another one.
Plus I'd have to inform the insurance company prior.
I pulled a stunt to get insurance in the first place.
If they cancel I'm F.....
So the solution as I see it is a separate grow room away from the house.
The town won't let me put my shipping container here.
Silly me I asked first.
So greenhouse first , grow house second.
And upstairs a loft and 2 spare bedrooms with cathedral ceilings storing boxes.
Heartbreaking but I don't see any other choice.

that so sucks brother. i feel so bad for you.

i've run underground my entire life. plus i've been an advocate and an activist. not just cannabis.
i've always hid in plain sight, but my ass is cooked at anything going sideways. even now. that's why the flower room is at the folks. they're covered. and all my spaces super planned out. they have to be.

my pops was an hvac mechanical engineer, and we have wiring experience. i was a show production lighting tech for years playing with mountains of electricity, and led. we make sure to have the spaces super dialed.

those things spring up perennially here lol

number one : never ask
number two : if anyone inquires, it's not a shipping container or storage. it's a garden shed. which in most canadian municipalities makes it magically instantly legal and not subject to bylaw. my buddy had seven "garden sheds" at one point.

@Romulus
Sorry for the delay in this reply.
I found some old butter making pics.
I’ll adapt the process for your coconut oil.
As all my notes are lost after the fire I’ll go from memory best I can.
I’ll post pics then change to my table and do the typing so bare with me.

You can use trimmed cured bud.
Larf or sugar leaves.

I'd keep larf and trim in ziplock bags in freezer until I was ready.

You can use coconut oil or butter in crock pot.
This is where I need my notes.
Use organic coconut oil only big Costco container is ??
Anyone know?
I used about 6 ounces of trim to one of those full containers.

Easiest thing for you to do is steam the trim to decarb.
Line a brownie tray in tinfoil.
Put in your busted up trim or buds.

Then cover it with tinfoil.
Making a seal the whole way around.
I did 40 minutes at 240 F.
Don't forget to decarb.

Ok hold on these all just posted backwards fek.
And I just got a call from my mechanic to go pick up the car
Hopefully I can still edit these when I get back.
Talk soon.

I used these fine micron wine making bags from zon.
But cheese cloth will work in a pinch.

Screenshot_20220411-135302_Chrome.jpg

Put your oil in crock pot and add boiling water , a cup to start.
Melt oil.
Then take your decarbed / steamed trim

Screenshot_20220411-135235_Chrome.jpg

Either put in wine bag or into crock pot.
Depending on if you got bags or cheese cloth.

Screenshot_20220411-135309_Chrome.jpg

Add enough hot water to fill the crock pot.

Don't let it get over 190 F.
I like to cook at 180 F 8-12 hours.

After it cooked immediately when still warm take out and strain.
Spin the bag or pour through a strainer lined with cheese cloth.

Ok @Romulus Take all the warm liquid and put it in the fridge.
The oil will harden on top.
Pour off the liquid and what's left should be cannabis infused coconut oil.
I used to take that oil and add Shea butter bee's wax infused oils and make a salve.
Was very very effective.
I know I left out a ton of stuff so ask any questions you can think of.
Hope that helps.
Congrats on your upcoming harvest. :welldone:

Interesting, never heard of box roasting for decarb but I'm cooking Banana Bread tomorrow so I will give it a try
Got about 4oz of trim/popcorn (=can't be arsed to trim a couple of joints worth lol)
This time though, I'm gonna push it all through the grinder with the aim of collecting some shoe hash fodder
Cheers Bill :Namaste:

Cool thats almost exactly how I did mine....except instead of coconut oil I used butter and used my crockpot on low for about 6 hours to decarb.

Breakfast of champions my friend.
I'm dieing to ask.
Ever get to drive one of those muscle cars? :green_heart:
Had bought a 70 impala when I was 15.:cheesygrinsmiley:
Only after my father talked me out of buying a 56 Chev 2 door post rolling chassis.
Impala was an absolute boat but flew like lightning.
Gas was like 18 cents a liter but I digress.
We had a lot of crazy times racing back then.
Scares me to think about it actually.
But seeing your plants in that showroom really made me smile.
He has great taste in cars. :thumb:
