cocos is the max ... no more overwatering ... no more underwatering .... 2x the size of soilplants at least if i compare my last grow in soil with this one ... is my first time in cocos ;)

you'll love coco ... its my first time ever and i already swear by it hehe

Doesn't coco need more constant watering? I mean, can you go out of town for 3 days and come back to thriving plants like you can in soil?

actually ... yes ... 2 ways work in coco
the hydro way with daily feeds or the soil way with 2-3 day wateringintervals

alot of ppl mix the two ... cause soil will always give the best taste with bio nutes ;)
i think you can go bio in pure coco if you also introduce miccorhyza (beneficial bacteria and micro organisms) to break down the bionutes into absorbable ions

Thanks! I think I'll stick with soil for a while because I don't want to introduce yet another variable into my process. I'm used to soil for everything else I grow in pots (lemons, limes, pineapples) so the learning curve for me is nutrients/pH and pruning/thinning. After a few grows I can get a handle on that aspect and then start investigating other growing mediums.

The mycorrhiza I bot came after I had planted, but I did get to use it on two lemons I transplanted. One in the ground and one in a bigger pot. They both are doing really well so I'm going to count that as a win. Will def spread through the soil for my next grow.
