Is it wrong that Im very loose with tracking days etc.
I always check back and have a look at certain points and i occasionally check how far into flower they are but thats when im feeling impatient and an itchy snipper finger.
Im one of those people though who has an awesome memory for things i wanna remember or NEED to remember but everything else just floats off into the distance lol.
Always been a free flowing type of person. My environment and circumstamces have been changing a lot recently its been a case of waiting for autos to finish before flowering photos (also wanna get them back to 100% health before flipping), Electricity blowing in a storm in one shed so Ive HAD to be that way. Like i said I will be looking back when i flip to check how old they are cos i suspect they will be massive by then and im intrigued to see how big they are when they are done.
I can definitely see the benefits of taking your own data on strains etc. But even then its more usefull when taking clones, preserving genetics/pheno hunting things like that. If ya still at the point of flipping through different strains one or two seeds at a time theres things i feel are more important. Terps, THC, bud structure, yield (to be fair timeframe has a part to play in this).
Ive noted strains I love and were easy to grow first then I would worry about flowering times later down the line when I get in a quantity of the strains i love to start breeding.

True true. Same reason cannabis is... i dont wanna say better cos you old skool guys will lose ya shit but, stronger and more variety at least lolhey there friend, happy to have ye pass by
yea i am a bit like you ... the only notes i take are mental notes ... things that work in my specific situation etc etc ... but if ye wanna start developing your own strain(s) you have to turn a craft in to a science ... think of it like this ... the grain we grow nowadays is the result of science-ing the crap out of the grain ppl grew centuries or even millenia ago ...
I really do, but I also am not currently working and I am working on making this my job!.....and not its not bad that you don't track it as long as you know how to read a plant (which isn't hard if you pay attention). I am like you, I have a great memory for the most part...not quite photographic, but similar. Having said that, growing so many strains made me revert back to to documenting it for clarity.
