ProfessorFlora's 10 Strain 200W LED Organic Soil Grow

Hey 420. The weekend is approaching and I'm behind on updates. Mrs F will be working and it's still raining so I'll have an opportunity to get up to date with everything thats happening. Just a few updates this evening then I'll get down to business tomorrow. First up we have the purple plant. I'm tired of calling her by her real name lol. She's still purple. There you go....

I think she's on around day 48 from seed and is currently feeding at 1500ppm. She's under 24 hours of lighting and is schlepped between 2 tents....

The "Tetraflexagon (7 Sided Square)" Grow Update....

Things are still looking good in here. In fact it's a bit annoying really. I've had more problems with the grows that I've been trying hard to make work. This one I've barely looked at and everything is great lol. Yesterday I mentioned over on Mr Sauga's thread that the Purple Moby Dick had my favourite smell because it was very Skunky and floral. Well that's changed slightly today. She is still my favourite but now has an apple scent to her which is a bit different. So far the PMD has been awesome and I think she may win this one and not just because she's a bit bigger than the others. Her buds are swelling the most and her scent is just rude. Northern Lights x Big Bud has sharp lemon hints to her which is just as pleasing. I'm pretty happy with most to be honest but there are a few who'll suffer and barely yield at all. The Blue OG will be tiny as will the Purple Haze. Both G13 Labs. The Orka which is a Moby Dick imitation by the way will also suffer as she's been dominated by the big 4. So far so good. We have frost appearing and 7 healthy plants who apparently are all happy being treated exactly the same....

"Tetraflexagon" followed by the 70's psychedelic purple and blue ... very very trippy dude ...

And totally reminds me of the seven leaves I see on a fan leaf ...

Just to be clear ... this is Schlepping Schleppervescence by the SchlepMeister ... right?

That's a really great photo Sir SchlepsAShot ... :)

I'm using the seed starting tray and 2 different soils just because I can. The first four are in some Levingtons general purpose compost that says it's good for cuttings on the pack. The next four are in the sandy mix. I've used loose soil in the tray to save money. It should be ok but getting them out could prove to be a bit fiddly. We don't have to worry about that just yet and should instead focus on giving the cutting a stable environment. Well. They are in a warm cupboard under some low lighting. I've misted the propagator and the clones and have the vent fully sealed on the lid. Normally I clone using the aeroponic closer and have had zero success doing it this way so any pointers or tips would be welcome. I want to get the vent open as soon as possible and have the lid off in a few days. Is that a good idea? Or is it best to just leave it on with the vent fully open. I've read that both ways are recommended....

Not if you're willing to wait for the roots to fill in. With loads of roots it won't matter how much you lose when you take them out. I put 3 cuttings in one cup and then have to separate them later on, so the roots are stripped practically bare. I've never lost one yet.

I'd leave the dome sealed for at least 4-5 days, but take it off for a minute twice a day just to get fresh air in there. Did you use any kind of rooting hormone on them or just straight into the dirt?

I used honey. Important thing I forgot to mention.
Ok, so slow and steady as apposed to getting air to them more quickly. I was worried about leaving the vent open while I was at work.

This is great! I just finished my first cloning for my first SOG ... and really enjoyed it! I kept 16 out of 20 ... one I accidentally crushed and three I threw away because they grew too slow.

I used five inch cuttings ... rooting hormones ... 2" rockwool cubes ... clipped back the top fan leaves ... then kept them covered and misted for two weeks in a 1020 tray and dome. When I saw new growth I started foliaring them twice daily and put them in the window to get real sunlight.

They took two weeks instead of one week because I forgot an important step ... it was in the third article I read ... and it clicked-in when I saw the picture ... I was supposed to cut one inch below a growth node because there are hormones in the growth nodes to promote root growth ...

0_de-donde-cortar-esquejes-300x218.jpg

For my upcoming HSO Chemdawg clones ... I am going to try scraping the side of the stem to thin it out ... and someone said "fleu the something" ... but I have not looked that up yet ...

But hey ... I guess "fleu" is my word of the day ...

Edit: I can't find "fleu" ... so I'll ask him what he meant tomorrow ...

Well fleu you Guy! Did you find out what it meant? I'm curious now.

I used a blunt kitchen knife, a jar of honey and some leftover soil. Wish me luck lol

Here they are @SQl2kGuy. They're still alive 24 hours after the op! I don't know how long it'll take for them to root but clonability (new word) is something I'll be looking at when choosing a mother plant. No point having a mother who's a nightmare to work with. So far they're all alive....

The "7 Rockets Hitting The Dome" Grow Update....

Time to check out the experiment. My only criticism is that it feels a little slow. The buds on some are swelling as normal but on some of the others they look a little small. The 3 that are doing really well are the Purple Moby Dick, Blackberry OG and Glueberry OG. The Northern Lights x Big Bud is doing ok but I had expected her to be a little bit more, you know, imposing or at least stand out visually. The Orka and the Blue OG are the smallest but smell great.the Orka looks so measly that I was about to talk smack about her but then after a stem rub I thought I'd best shut my mouth at least until the end. She smells dank AF. Blue OG definitely smells like an OG. The Purple Haze I see not much larger than the previous two but she smells unique. Nothing like I'd have imagined Purple Haze to smell like and I'm certain this particular strain doesn't represent the original PH visually. Similar to the Orka I was losing interest with her until the stem rub. It smells like crispy bacon flavoured crisps/potato chips! Weird but enticing. I thought that these would be done around the 1st of November but looking at them I'm sure it'll be more like the second week now. Let's have a look at the gang today....

LMAO ... I pictured you doing a bong hit ... going over to make toast ... couldn't find the jam ... found the honey ... spread it on ... then looked over at the plant ... smiled ... and said "Your turn now" ... okay ... good luck :)

I'm tired tonight ... I tried to find that post about "fleu" but I couldn't ... so I am just gonna make crap up so I look smart and still get credit for word of the day ...

"7 Rockets Hitting The Dome" and a crispy bacon terpene ... that's pretty cool! Kinda reminds me of the Toledo Rockets grabbing their pig skins and playing under the dome.

Do you think you'll see this to the end or are those two plants and colas too small?

No matter what ... this is a good memory and will make the smoke with your buddies a lot of fun ...

So many of our grows are boring ... the same thing over and over ... but this grow ... I will remember it years from now!

I've got about 3 months before I try something like this ... I am thinking 5 peyote wifi in a 25 gallon pot of soil ...

too funny... :laughtwo:
I do try to be entertaining. I leave being informative to you guys lol
Looking pretty 7 wonders of the world in here! Great work Professo :thumb:
Thank you Big HH. Hope you're ready for the weekend!

Hell yeah we'll see it to the end! I think it's a bit slow just because of how they were started. I think that if they were clones then there wouldn't have been the short delay. It's not them, it's me

Funny you should mention friends. One of my best friends has just become a father and I'm going to give him an ounce as a present. He's gonna need it!

This grow has been great fun and I'll probably try it again at some point but do things a bit differently.

I think you'll be fine with the 25 gallon pot. If there's room for mine to sit side by side comfortably then there'll be plenty of room for yours

Love it prof when a cola looks that pretty the more pictures the better. I have to try a purple plant they are just so unique fast buds have some that look good. I've been looking at black berry and even though it's not a purple strain blue dreamatic looks quite nice too.

I've done the Blackberry before and it does go a nice shade. Not done the Blue Dreamatic but it looks great. I've seen some monsters that other people have grown. The Fastberry is good for colour and I'd recommend that one. The LSD and the C4 Matic both go crazy purple as well.
