PotChimp's Side Projects

Not seeing in-laws helps you to like them longer. If you want to like them for a long time, try not to see them at all if possible!
Haven’t seen mine in years. One of them even died and I still don’t like him.

edit. Though admittedly it helped.

Hey I did edit it though in Xmas spirit. At least he tried.

edit. I should clarify I’m talking about my ex in-laws. You can’t make me feel bad about that guy! :laughtwo: I hope he gets reincarnated as a choir boy on PotChimp’s street....

I abandoned mine and started a new STS one spraying once every five days. Though I feel like I should have mixed up a fresh batch of STS but whatever. The female I was hoping to pollinate has lots of red hairs but probably just from being battered by the other one in my clumsy forced mating attempts.

edit- trying to think of a better way to word that but still can’t. Anyway I don’t see any seeds yet.

I flicked my finger on the top of the treated plant last night and saw a small burst of pollen, but the untreated female is pretty far along, so I don't know if I'll get seeds from that plant. I got all of my CS treated Grand Daddy Purple S1 seeds from the plant I treated (which could explain the lack of exact duplication in the offspring), so I expect a few seeds there.

Yeah I don’t burp either. I’m not even sure I believe in it really. But if there is any offgassing happening (which I’ve never seen any evidence of) then I probably open the jars often enough to deal with that anyway.

My drying setup has been failing me lately - lots of overdried bud - sending me back to Newbieland
I've been dealing with that drying issue as well. Its not bad drying in the winter time...as temps in the basement are MUCH LOWER, but in the warm time of year my harvests were getting dried in 3 days....over dried. I have to address it next year. I Like it to take a week or more for the buds to be ready to go into jars.

The fast dried stuff just isn't nearly as good as slow dried stuff. Sucks to spend months growing it and then lose you quality potential that quickly.

drying issue

I’ve been happy enough lately to settle for three day drying as long as it’s not overdried. There have been a couple harvests that overdried and yeah it’s a real shame to ruin it at the end.

Thanks Chimp. That’s very interesting. I’ll try sticking a bunch of weed in a ziplock sometime to see. Not that I don’t believe you.

If your gonna drop the log, I'd suggest some prep work. White castle crave cases for dinner :laughtwo: That or KFC extra greasy. No logs, just splatters
White Castle.. Wow.. Been along time since I had a fresh one.. I break down and buy frozen ones every now and then..

Plants are looking good there Chimp....

I grew the Connie Chung 7-8 years back.. I did it outdoors and if I remember right,, she had to be taken abit early due to bud rott...
