Poor Man's Grow With Home Depot LED Lighting

They were exactly what I was looking at , would they be ok for the whole grow , flowering included?
Simple answer is yes, of course it will work.

More nuanced answer is “don’t know.”

I’ve not tried flowering under it, but by the way the plants behave in veg, I don’t think you’ll have a problem growing autos under this.

What everyone is really searching for is the best light that fits their growing style. For example my needs are: low noise, low heat, and small - I have a 2x2x4 tent, and a 1x2x2 veg space. LED lights suits my growing style, and I’m okay only getting 1-2oz per plant per harvest.

Home Depot sells a corn cob LED that I’ve been using in my small veg space, it works just fine. It’s a 300w equivalent for high bay lighting. I’ve got it plugged into a cheap work light with the aluminum reflector removed. US$39 or so for the bulb.

Just a suggestion if you want to add more light later, but want to continue the Home Depot theme. :)

Hello , I bought 6 of these for my very 1st ever grow and they work great , very very little heat and I was able to get them about 6 inches from my plants , I used them for veg and flower and had great results, I just hated banging my head off the reflectors but they work great to as a supplement light also , I still use 4 of them in my 4x4 tent as a add on to my 600 watt hid, I put 1 in each corner of the tent, I have had these lights on steady for almost 2 years and they are rock solid .

I have 4 of those Par 30, Par 38 bulbs. I have them in a 4 light array, I bring them out at flower time for added canopy fill. They fit down the side of the tent well, and they can get real close to the lower canopy buds. I got my led grow lights at Lowes.. but same Sylvania and Feit bulbs.. 12 watts max, and cool as a cucumber .. great reds & blues.

Day 7 since seedlings popped, day 6 for the second , any thoughts on development? I'm kind of worried , they seem slow for autos I'm just hoping they are establishing a really strong roots system and that being the reason.
Also little to no stretching at all maybe just a few center meteres, is that ok?

I've never grown auto's, but for day 7 that looks close to my CBD critical seeds at 7 days: At this growth stage all the nutrients for the plant are in the sugar leaves, it's a miracle to watch these ladies emerge from that tiny seed. Aint Nature Grand?

Sure is , nature is beautiful, it's a shame that most people never stop to appreciate, or even wonder how magical it is.

Veg need 6400k Spectrum
Flower needs 2800k Spectrum
Photo 1 fan leaf the larger the better for absorbing light.
Photo 2 this young teen fan leaves are as large as my hand single leaf will be twice the size of my finger.
Photo 3 this is photo of 3 week under 600 Watt at 3 weeks.

The flowers should be dense sticky to the touch.
At this point you start removing your nitrogen. I switch to Rapid grow blooming flowers the first number will be low second number will be high the third number should be medium

by the third week light absorption is very important. That's why you need large fan leaves that will produce flowers by the third week the size of your thumb. By the six 2/8 weeks you should have 4 2 6 inch flowers. That should be 4 2 8 grams each

If you're reading my post can you understand my light wattage. You'll see I start with a low Watts for my clones and preteens. I then put my teens and adults under high-wattage. And for the flowering I'm lower my time and I'm going from 800 watts to 600 watts to trigger the flowering stage

I'm also using high impact lights

...mornin' Ricky...I would expect them to show a little more growth after a week...but...not all strains are equal...having said that, I wouldn't worry too much just yet...they look healthy...assuming your soil is still damp, you can usually go 2 weeks in properly watered soil at that stage...however, indoors in winter, the RH can be quite low, and your pots may dry out more quickly...__just don't over water!__...if your pots are feeling light enough that they may need watering, you could give them some by watering around the edge of the pot, or setting them in a tray of water to wick some moisture thru' the drainage holes...a little misting of the seedlings with a spray bottle wouldn't hurt if your soil is still holding enough water...cheerz...h00k...:rollit::passitleft:...

PS temps should be 70-75(summer) and rh should be 55-60 %in veg here`s the facts, 65degrees are fall temps when plants sense the start of flower to begin, think of mother nature when you start giving advice , we are trying to copy mother nature on a indoor grow, plant rules don't change. cooler temps at night (lights off )and lower humidity to prevent bud rot and mold, the same as mother nature provides for flower period .

Plant rules do change, and weeds especially are very good at adapting to the environment they find themselves in.
The optimum growing temperature is 79f. Your facts as stated above are not correct for all areas of the world either, so they are not facts. Summertime in Missouri is 95f with 100% humidity. Summertime in Nevada is different still and quite a bit higher in temperature than your estimate. The weather where I was born is well known as one of the few places in the world where at night you can freeze to death under a rosebush... the Mojave Desert.
Simulating fall temperatures by lowering the temperature at night and even a bit during the day is a known technique for getting the plants to finish stronger and to draw out fall colors from our crops. These are things that growers are free to experiment with, but let me stress once again for new growers and those having problems in their climate controlled indoor environments... 79f remains as the most optimum temperature for no stress growth.

I agree with the 79 part but you forgot 1 thing mary j plants don't grow in the Mojave desert and they don't grow in Missouri outside either and this is a indoor grow and plants that do grow there have had many generations to adapt to the climate around them we are trying to grow a plant in a max of 120 days start to finish ,yes these are weeds and yes they do adapt very well and quickly to there environment , the trick for the newer growers is to find some kind of a middle ground ,you are a very well known experienced grower and know how to push the limits of a plant , I was stating a k.i.s.s. answer for a fairly new grower

In keeping with the season I want to stop right here and wish you a very Merry Christmas @NOOOBIENOT.
In closing I just want to state that I can attest to some fine Missouri outdoor grown weed.. we do get some sun, and apparently the plants love it. I bet growers in Nevada, Arizona and S. California could tell you some stories about desert growing too. Have a good day Nooo... I hope Santa was good to you!
