Bummer, I don't get the Discovery Channel. I was hoping to catch "Weed Wars."

Kind of reminds me of a PBS Special I saw about plant cultivation. It featured, the apple, potato, and cannabis. There was a fourth plant, but I can't remember what it was.

Anyway, the point was that we don't cultivate the plants, the cultivate us! By their very desirability, they manipulate use into growing them. "Day of the Triffids" kind of scary.

man i sit here and think about how to better my grow. and im up all night. you would think i would find a way to better my grow! lol!
i want to find a way to trap all my light into my garden cause right now (just like the beginning of the grow) the light just goes all over the closet. i need to make a reflector or something but i dont have any money for duct tape HA! and i would need that because its a fix for everything! lol. thinkin and thinking and thinkin!
guess i might think alittle harder since im sober.

someone share some weed with me come on bros i would do the same for you. lol!

Hey PBMed, cheap reflective material, emergency survival blankets. Also insulates well and with cfls you want to keep as much heat in as possible. Its a bitch to cut with scissors, you have to keep the part you are cutting tight and use a razor. But it reflects well, and is inexpensive.
Harvesting one bud a time is a great way to get your buds individually perfect.
 
thanks brother i got a movers quilt over the door and my ladies havent gotten cold (well havent shown me droop or any signs of cold) so i think im good and i just tied some shit together and put it over the top of my lights to direct a bit of light down, its not much but i bet it will help!


took my ladies out of the closet and sat them in a dark room while i set up this bogus ass reflection system made of car winshield reflector (the back side is white so i aimed that down it just seems to work alot better), a fishing pole i chopped up for support, and fishing line. i like it i think its cheap ass will help alot!
best part is i already had it all so i didnt spend any money lol.
i think i will have a great harvest even though it will be nice. i am thinking i will do a half and half instead of like little bits, i will take the top half of the plant when the majority is matured, and then the rest when the majority of it is matured.

man i feel like if that little bud i broke up and stuffed in a brass pipe was good shit, then when i harvest itll be fucking amazing lol im trippin over that! i was so high and trying to type on here was such a task!

i guess ill try to get a pic of my ghetto little set up on here in a bit. subscriptions folder blew up so im gonna check out what people are talkin about in everyone elses grow lol :peace:

i havent had to raise my lights in so long, i love LST. cause now i know that even if it starts to grow upwards and its too strong for me to tie over, i have room for it!
 
lol it looks backwards cause the reflective part is on the outside, but like i said the white does way better
 
my buds look great and all. but i think she done hermied on me :(
and there were NO pollen sacks yesterday morning.
idk if i hermied it when i took it out last night to re do its reflection system or what :( thats so aggrivating.
might order bpn bloom booster.
dont feel very happy about it though. cause now this plants gonna give me seedy buds and pollenate my clone.
this sucks man i was so proud lol
 
Hey, Pooh, don't obsess about a good reflector. It looks like your walls are white and so is the door. When I first put together my setup, I thought about maximizing my light usage. I thought about hanging aluminum foil everywhere.

I did some research and was surprised to learn that flat white paint is a better reflector than aluminum foil. Also aluminum foil can create hot spots which can burn your plants. It compared other types of reflectors, but the flat white was the best. So if your walls are white (a bit hard to tell from your latest photo), then you really can't improve things much. If not, buy a super cheap can of flat white paint, put on your artist's smock and do a Van Gogh on your grow space, but don't cut off your ear!

You can get a great yield from using an HPS lamp. I have a 400W HPS that I use (also a 400W MH for flowering) and you can get a great yield. My first crop yielded about 4 oz, the next two at least 8 oz. For some reason, the ladies go wild for these high pressure lamps.

Also, high pressure lamps can penetrate a canopy further than CFL, which I think Biwa mentioned. If I recall correcty, CFL's can penetrate 2 in., 400W HPS can penetrate 4 in., and a 600W HPS can penetrate 6 in. (All this penetration sound like the script for a porno).

To show you what you can achieve with the right usage of space, here's a picture of the yield from my last crop (5 strains of Indica):

why do you use MH for flowering? thats backwards brother, HPS is for flower, MH is for veg.
im getting a small 150w hps for my next grow.
and i have light all over the plant right now CFLs on the sides and top but i know ill do better my next grow.
im still in denial about my plant being hermie so when those balls fill in and i see that oh shit it really is hermie ill be choppin balls like a female on a rampage.
otherwise i do think i will atleast get some good smoke. i dont even care about the yeild if its hermie cause i wont sell hermie. it makes me look bad lol jk im not arrogant but i might just sell and oz for a hundred bucks and keep the rest. well its indoor organic so maybe 120 thats the going price anyway for reggae oz.
blehh i feel so demotivated. but ill see if i can order this bloom booster and ill hopefully be using it in 2 weeks or so.
oh and also buddy i put something over the top of the lights so they would focus on the garden and not the ceiling lol i didnt coat the walls or anything i know they are ok and giving off light i just saw how the shelf above the lights were getting all kinds of light and i was like dude they dont need to grow, the plants do.

i want to read up on it so i dont do it wrong and have harsh/untastey/crumbley bud.
since the bitch hermied on me i want to get the best i can out of it so i dont feel so mad when im picking out seeds hahaha!
and so i can raise the price to 140 oz lol
probably not. but i can dream!! :D

I just cured my first harvest... Make sure your buds are fully dry... Stems snap and don't bend... Check multiple buds and stems make sure all break... Then put them in jar don't stuff it make sure there is room to move them around. Open the jar or jars once or twice a day for a few min. Check for mold and also make sure the buds are still dry if they get moist again keep drying them or you could get mold. Keep them in jar for 2 or more weeks 3-4 tasted really good to me :-) just make sure you open them up everyday to prevent mold and also mix them around so they cure even.... That's what I did and buds tasted amazing!! Hope that helped a little

the flash fucks with the colors of everything.
but those are pollen sacks i picked them off and theres nothing else they could be and they are popping up everywhere.

buds look good though right? hell yeah!
