Planet Express & The Attempt To Repopulate Mars

 hope you're having a great weekend CD! I'm pumped for the firework show in the experiment tent.

Thanks MG. Weekends been good so far brother. Took the kids for a nice walk along the river, played in the park for a little bit. How about you? Hope all is well buddy!

All is well! Had a nice dinner date with the wife. A belated birthday dinner. Had a blast. We checked out a house today that we liked too. It will be the next step for us in starting a family so I'm pumped on that.

Sounds like a fantastic weekend so far then! Congrats! I hope you scoped out a couple rooms in said house!!!! Lol

Update:

Day 45 Post-Flip, I noticed yellowing rapidly creeping up the Tropicanna Banana plants over the past week or so (not just a natural leaf shed), also a little bit of a claw. I put this down to too much nitrogen as they are sativa dominant. So I gave them just RO water 2 days ago, a bit of a flush. As you guys may or may not remember me saying before I don’t give just water to the plants unless needed. I think maybe it’s been once this whole grow they’ve had just plain water. They were definitely due for a little break. I’ll most likely be feeding again tomorrow 5L per plant and I will be considerably lowering the nitrogen during this feed. I’m thinking they probably have 3 weeks or so left.

I’m stopping BigBud as of now but will carrying on with the BudCandy for another week or 2.

Veg area:

Plants are still in 3 gallon fabric pots, I did take the tops off the TB’s they were getting a little too tall. I’m thinking I’ll flip 8 of the 12 in the next couple days. I need the room,

These will be the plants that get (hopefully) hit with pollen from the reversed Sapphire OG’s

4 - Tropicanna Banana

I do have 4 that I’ll keep in veg,
1- Tropicanna Banana
2- Sapphire OG
1- White Widow
they are quite smaller and I somehow forgot to take a picture of, we will revisit that later.

Reversal:

The reversal with colloidal silver is working fantastically. As stated its getting pollen sac development on every node. I did notice a couple open today, I sprayed anyway but I have a feeling I’ll be stopping spraying very shortly. I picked off an open sac and rubbed it between my finger and low and behold yellow dust.... let’s hope the rest of the plant matures up. Once a few more open up we will re-evaluate and consider collection.

Colloidal Silver
Home made at 45 ppm using 3 9v batteries and .9999 silver bullions. I’d have to look back but I’d say it was around a 2 hours process.

The method

  • Sprayed plant 3 x per day on every node, 5 days leading up to flip
  • Continued spraying morning and night for a few days but didn’t like putting them to sleep wet
  • Started spraying only in the morning on every node.
  • 18 days post flip sacs formed
  • 24 days post flip first sac opened

IMG_4300.jpeg

GA3

Mixed at 183ppm
Still no real signs of pollen sacs, pistils have started to show in places. I’m starting to lose faith in this plants willingness to reverse. It also got so stretched I ended up super cropping the tops to keep them away from the light.

This is awesome. I had a couple experiments but never was able to follow through. Tough to find the time. Amazing man!!

Thanks brother, I appreciate that! This update was a little over due. I’m glad your enjoying the content. I think if it all works out the reward will be worth all the effort that went into it.

Those buds are looking so tasty. That white widow looks like it could get me to clean the house, invent two things, and have dinner ready. Gets me moving and she looks potent!

Thanks MG, it smells incredible too. Buds are dense, sticky and have a sweet Lemony aroma. Should be some great smoke eventually.

Looking great! Thanks for the write up on the CS. I want to try this as well after my grow is done. Same timing as you for the grow.

Hey Dezi, how’s things? No problem! Haven’t seen an update in a while from you, how are the plants?

Going good. Been crazy busy with the honey to do list. Renovating the basement and electrical. Plants are doing ok. Found out I was waaaaaaaay under feeding them. Up the doses a bit just to limp by the end of this grow. Buds look amazing, mouth watering smell and lots of sugar :). Thinking about 10 days or so, I plan to harvest. We shall see :). Here is a pic from about a week ago :).

Just got my GA3 delivered to try reversing my Hindu Kush. I hope it works out for you in the end!! If it doesn’t, do you think you could try the CS on them?
Hadn’t really thought about it tbh. Might be worth a shot. Realistically I need the space though. If it doesn’t reverse, when I collect from the CS plant I’ll chop them both down. Then 8 of the veg plant will go into flower in the tent while the 6 in the flower room finish up. Then I’ll move those over into the flower room and hang dry in tent.

looking good Dezi! Not long left eh.

Looking great CD :thumb: I am really enjoying the CD GA3 experiment I want to try it I need another room or tent and all the goodies that go with it. So it's going to have to wait for now. Keep up the great work brother :passitleft:

Thanks Smokey! I’m glad you’re enjoying the content/experiment. I’m happy with how it’s going so far. It’s been interesting to say the least. Gotta start thinking about the next run in the next week or so and get some vegging.
Hoping to drop some KosherDaddy when they get here.

I got a question. Anyone used a moisture meter to test the buds after drying prior to curing?
using MC% of wood conversion to RH%

Edit:
For clarity, what I mean is if we dry a bud to say 15% MC hanging then cure it to say 12% MC using an electronics moisture meter probe, 12% MC is equal to 65% RH. Wouldnt that give a little more accurate of a reading of exactly how dry the buds are?
