should i get a recharge kit and recharge the soil? now i've got all this used soil that i can't do anything with. specially in hydro lol!!
 
Finally the ph pen arrived and i just did a quick check to see how the levels are.
both Res temps 17c
Room temp 21c RH 45% | Its really cold outside
PH 7.2 and adjusted to 5.8
PPM was at 300 and its at 225 for the left res and the right res was 325ppm and now is 200.
I say they are absorbing the nutrients perfectly.
Water change will be done in 5 days. I do it every Saturday. not sure if there is a rule of thumb or just every week is good to go.

So, that ph pen cleaner didn't come. Can i just wash it with tab water?

can i put the pens and the tds meters together in a glass and fill up some ph solution that i've got into the glass?

This morning PH 7.04 adjusted to 5.8
GG Right PPM 175
GG Left PPM 220

Today the water level was lower the pots so i topped the water again and the gg on the right is showing good signs. She still has not taken off with growth but the leaves are not yellow.

The GG on the left is very hungry with light bright yellow leaves and has very minor roots.

The light intensity is set to 10% currently under a TS1000

I was wondering do i also need to top off the mc and bring the ppm levels back up or not?
 
If you have a TS1000 at 10% I would think photosynthesis is at a minimum. I start my seedlings at 300-350 ppm with full light.

how you doing today penny!

i'm trying to get them used to mars light. They were under a 120w 5600k led. also, wouldn't full intensity burn them at this stage. I thought 100% should be flower time based on the manual

I've been trying to get the temps on the res water to be around or below 18c/64f
I knew the idea @Buds Buddy had was amazing as here in bc its pretty cold outside. I'm sucking outside air with a 6" fan that was for my carbon filter right into the tent.

With out holding the aluminum panel against the res and the fan on the low speed, the res water is showing 18c/64f. I'm sure if i speed up the fan and or put the aluminum sheet right against the res that it would bring the temps below 64f.

What should i try to aim for the res temp?
