Update on Grow
Two and a half weeks into new grow, the three plants in the flowering tent have already grown up to the edge of the scrog screen. Color and health of the plants are excellent, and lots of tops are already there.
This the last time I will grow three plants under that scrog screen. I'm going to go to one plant next time and see how long it takes to grow it out to be ready for flower.
I am thinking my yield will not change. Time may be a factor, in that it may take longer to veg out. But I'm going to be enlarging my grow when I put everything in the new grow space this coming spring. I'm planning to get a 48"X36" by 72" or higher tent, and make that my flowering tent. I will grow mothers in the tent I'm now using for flower. The propagation tent will remain to be used for cloning and early veg.
I would gladly entertain any ideas. The room is 12X14'. We are plumbing water in and increasing the electrical power to the room. I'm also wanting to create an odor box to exhaust the tent air in and then clean it again before going out in the air. I want advice.
The clone I kept from last time will be my new grow in late Feb.

I would run 1 plant in a 4x4 scrog and just veg however long it takes to fill 3/4 of the squares in my net before I flip. Top multiple times and let it grow out before you put the net over it. Mash the plant down put up the netting and train from there.

Sounds like a good plan; I'm also considering DWC for the new larger tent, and I think I could do two plants, each in its own bucket, with a scrog screen. This would also alleviate height issues.

Multiple plants under 1 screen can become a nightmare
Yes. That’s what I’ve been doing all along. It is very labor intensive.

Update time
Today my plants have been vegging in the flower tent for four weeks. I think I will be flipping them next weekend.
My one clone is becoming a monster, with lots of shoots. I've been trimming it back and upping the light slowly, to 30 percent.
Now that I've been planning my new grow space, I'm anxious to begin. But no, I have to finish this grow first. LOL.
Here's some pics:

I wish I could transplant the clone in a net pot and coco coir/perlite, but I have it in a deep water culture unit with eight openings. Does anyone reading this know if I could pot it, remove the lid, then put dark plastic around it to keep the light at bay?

I'm sure that's doable, but probably easier in hempy than into coco. Certainly worth asking about here:

Grow Update Time
The plants in the big tent have been in flower now for 7 days. I already see buds forming. I'm still worried about the growth, though; They are healthy (the plants) as can be, but the leaves are smaller than usual and the stretch is slow.
This will be interesting - my first effort into perlite and coco coir.
The growth is also more dense than before.
I certainly wish somebody who is experienced with coco would let me know if this is normal????

Update on Grow
Third week of flower and I'm not real happy. The plants have no stretch - so basically, buds are forming on top all over, but no growth upward to speak of. And underneath, the leaves are turning yellow. See pictures below.
I'm wondering if I need to thin the foliage out right now and open it up to light. The foliage is dense; light can't get to the underneath part.
Remember, I am doing this batch with coco/perlite mix, ebb and flow hydro. Everything else is the same except for the growth medium.
I would love to hear what others say.

Meanwhile, in the clone tent, the clone looks like a monster plant. I repotted it into a large net pot that will fit in the top of my 5-gallon bucket. I'm doing this plant all by itself in DWC. Why? Because I'm going to go with a larger tent and grow either four plants in a 4 x 4, or eight plants in a 4 X 8. My partner and I need to talk this week about our plan to go legal.
I live in Missouri and I can do this now, that I've done my research. For more on this, see this link in another thread on this forum:

Grow Update
Plants in the flowering tent are blooming nicely, even tho they are somewhat stunted for reasons that fail to make themselves clear to me. It must be the growing medium (coco coir/perlite) coupled with a small pot. The roots have been sufficiently air-pruned so they don't hang out of the pots. But I'm thinking larger pots and try it again. ???

Meanwhile, in the cloning tent, I have made some changes. The clone that was growing in there was out of root space in the 5-gallon reservoir. I potted it in coco/perlite and left it in there, but the res didn't have a cover now. So the oxygen ran out early because of mycorrhizae growth. So, I decided this was too much trouble. A failed experiment.

So, here are the new clones. I took them a week ago figuring this would be the case. Now they are seated (24 hours ago) and already forming roots. Amazing.

Update on plans for new grow room
After a lot of thinking, soul-searching and talking it out, I have decided to stay with flood and drain in my new space. And I have decided some other things that I can't discuss freely here, but suffice to say it has to do with legalities. I'm staying as I am for now. Trump has me very worried with his plans to have the feds go after legal growers and users.
So, briefly, here is the plan.
1. New tent to hold more plants. Not sure what I want to do here, but this is the only uncertainty - size and dimensions. The room has a wall with a window where I'm planning to put the largest tent. It is OK if it covers the window. Actually, it is a preference that it does. It might be easiest to have a 2X8 tent instead of a 4X4 or larger. But that is ok, not ready to buy yet.
2. Lighting will change to all white LED. Blurples will stay in my small tents for now, but flowering will happen under a new QB type light. The one I'm looking at will cover my area (regardless of what dimensions, ha). I will have to buy a controller, but that is not an issue, as it will work with more than one light should I do that.
2. Plumbing from a next door bathroom through the wall - my husband can do this. We are installing cabinets along the wall across from the grow tents. And a large utility sink where we can also wash our dogs. LOL. (always looking for a second use.)
3. Security system and a deadbolt lock with a numerical keypad.

Part of my vacillation over the tent size is finding flood and drain tables to fit them. I can get a 4X4 table, but it has to go into a 5X5 tent. That will cut down on my space elsewhere. But if I get a tent 8-feet wide and 2 or three feet deep, it will go well with my other tent, which is 2 X 2 1/2. Or, should I go with two new tents, 4-feet wide and two feet deep? LOL. See what I mean.

Hi there - Time to tell the diary what I'm doing now.
My flowering plants are about three weeks from being finished, and they still haven't grown tall. There is more fan leaf die-off with this batch, but the plants are healthy - just finishing fast.
My clones are not doing well. I had eight cut and put them in over a week ago to the cloner. The other clone was dying without a large amount of water, so I ditched it to start the others.
This whole grow has been a problem, and I blame the moon. LOL. Actually, I do think astrological events can make a difference, and the aspects are horrible right now. So. I'm popping three beans of Bruce Banner and leaving the clones alone - they may take off or not.
I put the beans in distilled water yesterday and today I'm moving them to rooting plugs and a heat mat. I'll take pictures and post later, but wanted to get this up first.
I have finally decided to go with a 5 X 5 tent and with flood and drain. I'll get more elaborate on this as we go.
Peace.

Flood and drain works well, I built a diy flood table for one of my grows.
I agree. I'm buying the components separately and putting it together myself. Not quite DIY, but better than buying a kit and getting screwed. The kits don't usually come with large enough reservoirs. I found that out when looking at all of the stuff available. So I'm going to go with a 115 gallon reservoir for a 4 x 4 table. I'm looking forward to having more space.
