it's developing great. i don't think there's anything to be worried on.
Thanks!
I'm not really worried, just wondering. I'll be growing a sativa dominant plant soon, hopefully this winter if the timing works out, so maybe we'll see if that's why.
It will help get light to the side branches, so it's definitely not a bad thing.
it looks indica dominant and may stay a bit stout and bushy. it's early yet and they can change.
It is supposed to be indica dominant, so that fits. On the other hand the tent is 200cm tall, so I do have room to play with.
are you flowering under the same light?
i'd be about 40 - 50% roughly on the dimming myself by now as a hard guess. i ramp up slowly each week.
i run the whole grow at 24 - 18 inches above the canopy. as the plant reaches from 24 into the 18 inch mark in veg, i just raise the light. when it gets into flower i do the same until stretch stops, and then i leave it at the 18 mark.
Yes, I intend to run the entire grow with this setup. The spectrum is fairly warm, I have to adjust the white balance to keep the plant from looking washed out, so it's suitable for flowering.
I intend to build my own 6400k spectrum rig for a grow or two to test out flowering under it. I want to test out if the increase in potency outweighs the decrease in yield. My indoor grows are mostly for vaping, so it's more about quality than yield.
Normally I have my lights at 50% by this point. That's where the light in my other tent is now, and I rarely get above 75% in flower due to signs of light stress.
This plant has started drooping whenever I turn this light up, even when I raised it.
I'm going to try again though. Inverse square law says if I raise it to 60cm and turn it up to 40% the ppfd should remain the same (I think), so I'll try that and then let her grow closer to it for a bit.
She might just be light sensitive though.
Either way it'll be a good learning experience for a new light.
