Man it's huge.

That's what she said. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Nice addition! Congrat's! :thumb:
I am so glad I don't have to hide anything - I'm very fortunate in that respect.

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

And then she married him. Aaahh love...
It didn't look like Pigeons was trying incredibly hard to hide things by the look and I'm guessing the smell, of those buds hanging up there. When I saw that pic I was thinking - geez it must be nice to not have to hide things. Too smelly, was it?

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Our place smells like a skunk in heat. I'm lovin' it.

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

hahaha too funny you two!

It was simply to smelly for my liking. I've worked hard through out my adult life to keep my household comfortable and respectful. I have all kinds of people to my house and I would like to keep the smell of dirty feet isolated to one area.
My operation has grown exponentially over the last few months. The smell wasn't so bad before. But now that I have more than one flower budding, it makes for a ranky smell. Oh and I love it too! But that's something I like to keep to myself. (never was one to share).
Not to mention, my current setup has the air from my grow room exhausting out the back of the house which is about 8 feet away from my neighbors. And I don't want to disturb anyone with my extra curricular activities.

Let the curing begin!

Green crack has made it through her dry stage and now it's into the jar! My favorite step because it's the last one before I smoke it!

she blew my expectations out of the water with her final weight. All said and done she weighed in at just over 6 ounces or 171 grams. That's double what I guessed (I tend to guess low and keep my expectations low so I can be so surprised every time :P)
Take a look

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

I should probably note the process I'm going to take to cure:

For the first week or so I will be opening the jars every 12 hours. I typically empty the jars out on a clean table and let the buds sit out for 30 or so minutes. (Until the outside of the bud is slightly dry)
After I find that the humidity is getting lower faster. This is about the end of the first week. I open the jars ones a day. Empting the jars again with the bud on the table. I repeat until the humidity is constant at 62-65%.
If I notice the humidity creeping up. I open the jars but leave the bud inside. Maybe shake the jar a little to separate the buds. This will occur once a week. Maybe.
They cure for 2 months

Congratulations on your harvest Pigeons420.

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Pidgeons, I , like RSO am drooling :well done:
That GC looks tasty !! Are you gonna wait 2 months to sample that ?
I seriously doubt that i could !!:lot-o-toke:

Pigeons apparently has more self control than most of us. :laughtwo:

Congratulations on your harvest Pigeons420.

Why thank you RSOiler! This one looks good! The buds were so dense and the smell is inebriating. Gonna be a long 2 months

Chenzi thank you!

I will give her a two week cure and then I'll take out a small small bud for samples. But after that, I will not touch her for another month and a half.

haha I don't think whether it's self control or just the fact that I know it's only getting better with time. I play a mental game with myself when I smoke it early. I have a problem with giving myself negative opinions of the herb if I know that it could have cured longer and been better.
It's probably just an OCD thing. But I love good herb and I try to do what I can to keep it that way.

Master P!

First off, Congrats on the harvest! I may not comment or like something right away but best believe I have an extra eye watching your forums :)

Thanks for sharing your curing process I believe this is a very important step and I will be curing my green for at least 2 months.

Went over and read about your seed bank issue..all I can say is wow! ..You know.. Being a business owner I am faced with issues, discrepancies, and things just not working out all of the time. When a customer reaches out to me about a process or payment method. I listen, with all ears open. Not only do I listen, I apologize that a process of mine has made them feel that way, off the top. I usually then go on to ask how we can make it better for you (The customer) and if we can't improve that certain process I explain why and sometimes have an alternative.

The guy responding from BSB not once thanked you for your interest in their seeds nor did he apologize for the hassle you went through. wow.

Chocolope and jack smash sounds nice mate where can we get some of those bad boys? Any seed bank u have used before have them?

Chocolope is from DNA can get these from any Seedbank I expect. Jacks smack is bred here in Ottawa by a local breeder. I bought those seeds at a local shop. I think there are seedbanks selling them too, try searching google.
The crosses jackalope (jacks smack x Chocolope) and Thunderpaws (jacks smack x critical kush) are crosses made by me. If you want them then wait until you get to 50 posts and send me a pm.

Tuesday Update

Hi everyone! Fancy seeing everyone here on such a beautiful morning. Amazing things are happening around here everyday in my grow room and I cant wait to fill everyone in! So lets get started.

VEG ROOM

Well here comes the news. I would like to introduce 6 new ladies to the mix. These girls are no stranger to the grow room. A few months back, while I was still trying to find my groove as a gardener, I attempted to grow a few of these girls in my journal titled, In the Koupe with Pigeons420. These girls are regular seeds and were donated by the kind folks at Toque Seeds. I failed miserably at attempting to grow them under a 400W HPS from seed. Failed for obvious reasons.
That loss has weighed over me ever since. So, it's important for me to take another stab at it. So, here they are.

JABB'S STASH (week 1)

Lets look at some soil shall we

BLUEBERRY HEADBAND (week2)

I cannot wait to start training her but of course I need to wait a couple more weeks :).

FLOWER ROOM

FLOWER BOMB KUSH (week 4)

Coming along nicely. Still showing signs of something. not entirely sure what it is. but the newer growth looks great. Still not entirely sure what I can do about it. or I should just wait it out.
Despite that, she has nice frosty bud sites and some tight nodes. I like what she's doing.

MATARO BLUE (week 5)

Still jaw dropping. I can't believe how big her bottom buds are. The penetration of the 1000W is certainly evident. She is frosty and tight. And I love how big her cola is going to get! It's already just swelling. Side branches look thick with nice buds. All around nice plant. I can see myself growing like this again. Simple, beautiful and clearly working.

Well it's been a great time. Thanks to all of you for helping put a smile on my face. I hope you all spend as much time showing the people around you that you love them as much as you make me feel loved.
:peace: :Love::thanks:

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

I agree curing process is important. When I first cut down jacks smack it was an ok smoke. Give it over a month cure abd it went from ok to great. Not just in taste, it seems the cure made it a Stronger high

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

I get they are trying to stop fraud just not doing a good job about it.
No problem with herbies 8-)

I'm glad you feel the same way, OG!

I can't explain to you enough how grateful I am to have you taking this journey with us Hydro!!

I feel you hit the nail right on the head. I really felt like they were just throwing political answers at me. I really just wanted to help out but I felt like I got no where. The process seems a bit cumbersome and flawed but it didn't seem to matter to them. I felt like a small fry just throwing my opinions out the window.

but anyways I move on. I have an order through Attitude that went through. Just had to do it on the computer rather than my phone. No biggie.

Again Hydro! Your presence is always appreciated.

This is how I feel about all my herb. A wise man once told me that you can push out the addition THC in your herb by 10% by giving it a proper cure. It's debatable about how long the best cure is. but there is a general conception that 2 months is the crème de le crème.
I find that the terpenes (scent cannabinoids) also increase the greatest after a proper cure. Terpenes also have therapeutic attributes.
