That's what I do, 1/4 strength nutes until the plant tells you it needs more, feed drain to waste, make sure you get that run off to flush out any build up, I feed twice a day, I never let my coco go dry, imo it helps avoid any build up and no need to be flushing if you are feeding it to run off. I hand water too which is becoming a bit of a pain in bloom but I know nothing of drip feeding so I'll stick to hand feeding since I only have the 2 in that space. I use Canna coco A & B and when it needed it I added
@Emilya eggshell calmag plus recipe, the plants love it! The only other additive I used was pk 13/14 for a week. If you don't have a ppm pen just make sure and ph from 5.1 to 6.2, it doesn't have to be accurate every time it's ok to fluctuate within that range because different nutrients are taken up at different ranges. Too low ph and you'll stunt your growth. It's good to start the nutrients at that strength because it's easier to up it when needed rather than going full strength and having to dial back once issues show because it'll already be happening before it shows you have a problem.
I have one other plant in coco, an auto and I'm using the GH trio for the first time in that grow, also in my first dwc attempt, also an auto. With all the different additives and nutrients I figure I'll keep it simple until I fully understand and know what I'm doing.
Happy growing!
