Peyton's Sour Sky Hempy Grow 2014

I don't understand how anyone could do perpetual with seeds, not saying it can't be done. I tried it and I'll tell ya the number one reason why it was so hard, plants from seed take so damn long to mature, and they mature at different rates. Literly you gotta be 3 or 4 months ahead of yourself with seeds. Clones just cut one month before harvest. And everything is already mature, can flower at any size and much more uniform plants.
And unless all the seeds your using are breeder quality seeds, the phenotypes might vary seed to seed. My pineapple seeds showed different phenotypes with different seeds. Seemed to be 3 variations. One with fat cylaxes looked seeds, but empty. one that grew lankey and one that I choose. I've read about this variation and witnessed it first hand.

Maybe I'm giving too much info, but I'm fuckin lazy too. And seed to bud every time gets old quick lol a lot more work.
As we said time and time again, each to his own.

I'm with you on the perpetual, one way or another. I'm going to attemp an indoor and outdoor flux from clones I'm going to take this weekend. We'll see they'll be monster crops I guess. I think I saw you refer to fluxing so I checked it out. That is the kind of challenge and finish line I crave. Lol

I just gotta make sure I can clone. if I try it a few times and fail, then I'll probably give up and try CS instead. But I would love to get me some flowering clones to monster crop. Fill a scrog fast with one of them

Cloning is easy. When I broke of the trunk of one my BB early I just gave it a 45 degree cut stuck it in rockwool with some Hormex, and its now the single plant LST BB I have going. I thought I killed it three times. Everything everyone says not to do I did. I broke it off, threw it in the corner, went back to it an hour later, said I could save it, stuck it in the cube. Forgot about it, let the cube dry out, made a new cube, cut another 45 and all was good. So its not that difficult, just sounds that way.

Yeah they make it seem that way with their bubble cloners, humidity domes and all that whatnot. I have a small cabinet that will hold some humidity and a cfl bulb. And I can cut water bottles for domes. And of course jiffy pellets for medium. Don't know if that's a worthwhile combo, but that's that I have to work with. And the rooting hormone, thanks to wildjim

Well I'm going to try to clone my GS Cookies just before going to bloom. Start another batch and do a short perpetual. I like variety, but saving $90 on clones is worth a try.

Welcome Kodiak. Your grow looks real nice. I'm chopping my girl down this evening. Been waiting so dang long I get the shakes thinking about it. No, it's my blood sugar too low.

As for a perpetual with seeds it's just as easy as with clones I think. And it can be pretty short too, if you are using autoflowers. I prefer the autos. The shorter ones only take 50 to 65 days. And with Colloidal Silver the seeds are cheap. With hundreds of seeds a grow using the SOG technique can be pretty rewarding. It's also quicker crossbreeding your favorites.

I don't know about clones, having never used one, but I think a clone might take as long or short as a longer auto, 65-75 days. I'm not sure about the time it takes from rooting the clone to harvest, but I might try it some day. I have a Pineapple Slick seed from Original Sensible Seed Company that is burning a hole in my seed bag. It's feminized but I don't know if it's an auto. In any case, the only thing that matters is getting to the finish line and enjoying and cussing the time it takes to get there. And then enjoying the fruits of our labors.

171.2 almost too dry, I'll find out after its in freezer for awhile. Harvest day I took 50g wet popcorn bud I fast dried. So another 10-15g dry. Loose a few grams to curing not much.
Didn't hit the half pound mark. Oh well maybe next time.
Shit smells and looks better then ever. I'll snap a bud pic sometime today. Got alot to do today, cleaning aquariums.

Oh yea seed perpetual will work. I'm just saying its quite a bit more work . I tried it with just fem seeds. Like I said I needed almost double the veg space. And I had to get ahead of myself 3 months, 6full bloom 6 starting bloom in flowerroom. Veg I would have 18 plants youngest 6 being seedlings, 6 middle size plants and 6 ready mature plants.
With clone I only need 6 clones + my mother plant.
But autos...... That's a game changer possabably. I don't know, I've yet to see a seed perpetual grow on here, perpetual autos at that!

Definitely wanna see this.

Like I said I'm fuckin lazy. No dome. Just high humidity in veg box. High success rate. And I've given jiffy another shot, took 8 clones harvest day.
If you can't keep humidity up, get wifey to buy a cake. Plastic domes that come on them work great if humidity is an issue. And you get to eat a whole cake lol

The wife and I had a 29 high salt water tank when we lived in Colorado. I was in college. Seems like a lifetime ago. 1975-78, wow, that was a lifetime ago. One year short of forty years. Anyway. We had a yellow Tang, a Grouper, a Wrasse, a Tomato Clown Fish with an Anemone and a shrimp that carried around a shell in that tank and a Star Fish. That 29 gal was a lot of work. I had to scrape the salt around the edge of the tank almost daily and put it back into water. Added water every so often. Pumped the water through Diatomaceous Earth every so often, if I remember right. Gave it to my good buddy in Denver when we moved to Hawaii. I'd like to have one to look at now. But it's just too much work for this old man.
Here's a funny for you Stumped, we gave our granddaughter a 15 gallon tank, all decked out with black gravel, and neon gobies I believe. We have to replace the fish every couple weeks. She is only 3 yrs old and takes them out to play with. I thought about putting a couple blue gills in there.
How many tanks do you keep? And what fish?

You should use CS and take a branch to seed. I know it's a few more weeks from seed but you don't risk bringing some bugs home with the clones. I have heard that's a problem in some places.

Nice man. Old school fish keeper!
My hobby is well more of an addiction, I have 4 125 gallon, 2 77 gallon bow fronts, a 220 gallon and various tanks under 55 gallons. I also have 4 ponds, 3 are in a looped system with 6000gallons and the other is a smaller above ground 500gallon I use in the summer for raising fish.
I have saltwater, one of the 125 gallons is salt, predatory salt water not much corals, clown triggers, domino damsels and lion fish. That's where I recycled my first grow light. 400w metal halide.
Other fish I have include a 16 inch blue diamond piranha, a group of 10, 11 inch redbelly piranhas. Datnoids, angelfish haunduran red points, various dwarf cichlids, African cichlids, peacock bass, freshwater stingrays, the list goes on and on. almost everything I have was either wild caught by me within the last 10 years or ordered wild. Back when I had money I use to go to south america 2 times a year to catch exotic fish. Things change people die and sometimes leave ya with a lot of debit lol

Now I just keep what I accumulated and breed them. I understand water chemistry and plant botany, along with just about every lighting known to man. Just applying my knowledge to another field.
Too bad I can't share many pictures of my aquariums, I don't want anyone to just stumble upon the pics and link the aquariums to me. I'm anonymous here and being as I'm not legally growing..... Yea never mix the 2 worlds.

That's funny with your grand daughter. My Buddy's little one use to feed his fish milk lol " they need milk too daddy" funny till it wiped out a 100gallon aquarium full of African cichlids.

You took 8 clones that late in flower? Got a pic? I've never seen a flowering clone before. Wondering what size they would have to be

lol no no. i take clones from my mother plants, on harvest day. to keep perpetual going. takes roughly 1 month to root and grow abit. i use to cut 2 weeks after harvest and only just root the clones then send them directly into flower. while the last 6 that were in rooting/veg mode before the ones cut, they replace whatever i cut down. if all that makes any sense lol
