Watch some videos on making it first I must have watched 6 yesterday of people blowing shit up making oil. From the tubes exploding on them to blowing up a car in a parking lot. It's not hard to make some guys don't understand your playing with something highly combustible so being careful is top priority.
 
Yes, safety is of the utmost importance when making oil. I've read motoco's tutorial a few times, just gotta finish getting supplies and watch a few vids
 
With no dispensaries and my limited supply, I've never had the pleasure of trying wax or shatter or any of that fun extract stuff. Just smoke and butter. Would be nice to try someday, especially with 70 percent thc

The butter is great for some pain and high, but the oil is taken differently and has much more healing power when tacked properly. Cures cancer, lesions, helps with diabetes, it does everything

Those harvest times the breeders publish are based on perfect professional grows, including professional equipment.
No one harvests in 8 weeks. Not if they know when to chop them. More like 10 minimum usually.

Thanks guys. I'm still new to growing, so I secretly worry a lot about my plants. I'm always worried I'm that one guy who is doing something wrong but can't seem to see it. I'll worry less about the weeks and just try to enjoy the time I have with them. So PC might end up going into January, but it's all good. That'll just shorten the time between grows since I plan on taking a break after this. I'll start my 2015 grows in late February, 1st of March at latest.

I've been growing for over 10yrs under HPS & got very complasent but I've worried about every plant so far under LED. I know exactly how you feel mate, you must've seen me fretting about purps in my thread
 
I always read other threads and everyone has their weeks on point, and they harvest on time. I just query cause my last two plants went a month longer than expected, and even then they were pulled a little early
