On the 24 pin motherboard connector, take a paperclip and stick it in the green (only green wire there) and to any black(ground) and it will start the PSU and give you full wattage to the fans, not like cellphone adapters that will just run them under powered.Good Morning, who know's how to make a pc power supply work for a fan? I remember Stump talking about it in your other journal I think. Something about jumping wires.
Cellphone adapters will run them, but I've yet to find a 5watt cell phone charger, usually rated in mW(milliwatt). Cheap PC fans are usually 3-5 watt. My cell charger is 800mw and my tablet charger is 2000mw (probably don't come bigger then that I've seen). Neither would run a PC fan full speed. Volts are only half the battle.
Also some fans you can boost by switching the wires on the molex connector. If the fan is wired up for 5v+ (red) you can swap to the 12v line.
