Peyton's Holy Grail Kush - Flux - Hempy - Mars II 400

Yeah but in fairness my kid is a freak of nature. Rarely ever cries, always happy, and usually sleeps in till 9 am. I guess that's what happens when you smoke a ton of weed, musta transferred into his DNA to be cool calm and collected lol.

This Flux was definitely a lot more work than I anticipated. And it's not the work that was bad, it's just the veg time. To make it look like one of LA's fluxes would require I veg it another 4 to 6 weeks, which I couldn't do. But hopefully it all pays off in the end. If I do those C99 over winter I might Flux one since I'll have nothing but time. Then it'll look like trichomes with a baseball sized stem!

Hahha that's awesome. Sounds like a cool little fella.
My friend got a 5 year old boy. And holy shit he's one bad kid. Tells people to fuck off, calls them cunts, doushes. Calls me the big fucker lol like its my name too. "Oh here comes the big fucker, hey big fucker see my new water gun?" Stop cussing . "fuck off" then get shot with then water gun lol

Damn. That's an unruly sounding kid. It's always funny when kids swear, but not when it's intentionally pointed at you lol. So how is the big sog coming along? You able to figure out a watering system yet for when they get big?

Pumps and filters. A sort of warning for you Stumped, my little pumps had lots of salts on them when I removed the system. Only problem I had was one pumped a little more than the other. I will make the system rely on gravity next time. I'll have enough room to have the light at 8' so I can put plant on a shelf and raise and lower the shelf a foot up or down.
With your aqua experience you'll be able to come up with a system. That SOG you're doing could be a good ebb and flo. Or is that what you are doing?

Damn that kid needs a spanking, or 1000 of them...

Sog is doing good so far. Saturday I'll be trimming the lower growth and anything not staying close to the stem. I'll update with pics over the weekend. Still looking baron in there with 16 plants. Been awhile since I started from scratch.
Thinking I could have used smaller pots and fit more plants. But well see how this plays out before I jump the gun.

Essentially I wanna do a flood and drain table. But right now its just soil, hydroton on top to help slow evaporation.

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out a watering method. See I've fucked with many different types of plumbing systems for aquariums. Auto topoff floats. Sump tanks with gravity fed skimmers. All require precise fittings and angles to work properly. And one thing I've realized over the years. Is water likes to do its own thing, you can have a system that's fool proof and one slight fitting is off and nothing works properly.
Messing with multi pumps and not relying on gravity is the first thing I always consider when designing systems. How can I make gravity do my work for me?
16 plants at once is going to be a challenge.

Best way to do it I think is going to be feeding rings on a timer. And gravity, no pumps. I'll buy or build an electronic ball valve. Set the valve on a timer. Then I'm not worried about pump failure or pumps pumping unevenly. I figure a bucket on a pully will do the trick, and some adjustable valves to regulate the water flow for different lengths of tubing going to the feeding rings. Gonna be a trick getting all the valves adjusted properly.
Sounds confusing but its really not. Quite simple once seen in action. I use the same method for a window aquarium. Only instead of a timer its hooked up to a float. Water drops so far, valve opens till tank is topped off.
Tank evaporates 5 gallons a day, is why I devised this little plan.

And holy fuck I just wrote a book lol

Well you have the ability to grow indoors all year, so it's probably better to start a little smaller to gauge the grow. Working your way up to 30 plants won't take long, especially with your cloning skills

With your fish tank skills I'm guessing to reseal everything is a matter of just finding time. But it does sound like a foolproof way to get back wall plants when they shoot up. I always worry about pumps failing, which wouldn't be bad with a couple clones, but I would hate to lose 16 plants at once over a clog in a line.

I just replaced the single drip lines to the Chard in my outdoor hydro veggie garden and made it into full NFT. Got about 75 gallons per hour going through 1/2" tubing. I had to wait til the roots hit the bottom of the 4" PVC. I'm planning on setting up an NFT system in the basement for my greens this winter. Have you heard of anyone doing a grow in an NFT in 4 or 6" PVC pipes? I've seen it done with LEDs for spinach and other greens on youtube. Six inch PVC is a load of room for a hydro root ball. Shoot, I've even seen 10" PVC. LEDs on a light mover for long runs. I might have to try it with Basil first time. I don't think 4" pipe is big enough. I grow some nice Bok Choy and lettuce in it though. This is the first time I made it full NFT. Dang birds and squirrels keep moving the dripper. Birds bathe in the dripping. Squirrels just run across them knock them out of whack.

I would go with as big of a pipe as possible. Better to have too much than too little. I'd get out the varmint rifle and take care of them squirrels. Weirdly enough I live out in the country and haven't seen a squirrel here yet

They're wreaking havoc with my tomatoes. One gets close to red and the squirrel eats a few bites. My pellet gun isn't powerful enough. And I don't see them, just their damage, a half eaten tomato on the handrail. Bastards. I saw one and I swear it did the low crawl through the back yard, pretty fast too. The fkin low crawl. This winter I build a screened in garden area. Let them try to get through 1" chicken wire.

Sneaky little bastards. We have groundhogs and stray cats, and what I can't shoot with bb gun my buddies dog comes over and eliminates them. The big groundhog is still on the loose, but his dog has got the smaller groundhog and a few stray cats. I need to get me some weimaraners again.

Still no official signs of flower yet. HGK is looking good with her crown of future flowers. Still hoping to see something this weekend.

SB is still stretching toward the light, still looking symmetrical.

Pictures will be coming in a little while
