8-16-2015 Ok so checking the "tent" seeds look good check! N1 clones look good check! N1 flower clones still alive? check! Any roots showing under n1 clones? wait what is that yes yes ! there are some water roots on one of them yahoo!!!!

Diesel seed looks like it is just rooting some more hasn't moved but cant see the root. It's really that and the pineapple chunk I look forward to. I added a few drops of ph down to all three tubs and i will test it later on tho see how it did.
These are all just crapper seeds though I really need to put that order in soon.
Very soon.

The skinny!

8-16-2015 sorta.
So I will go through the stuff in the veg tent and explain what they are to get you up to speed with the overall here.

Ok so the PC A and B are Pineapple Chunk seeds from a recent bag.These didn't look like Hermies when I planted them but never know. Sex unknown so I will play with them soon to see if I can figure it out.
Diesel is an unknown sex seed as well from a bag that was a brown bug healthy looking thing. It has taken slow but was started a good bit after the pc's.

My famous N1 strain . If you look it up I posted it somewhere in the blog. It stands for anonymous batch 1. N1 was easier cause it didnt really matter. Older bag seed from 2014. Started with ten 8 popped 4 I hydro'd 3 where male and 1 is my first DWC grow.

These two above where taken approx 2-3 weeks into flower as a half experiment and half they would have slowed down the plant.

Ok these four N1's are my clones right as I went to flower. If you look they are now in high gear. They where really rough a long time. Check out the roots on the one. These will be part or all in my next flower depending on my seed results. .

Yesterday Continued. and ........SURPRISE!

Ok so to finish up on my show and tell session from last night...

this pic

is my last Veg pot setup. Hoping that if I get a group of runaway plants I can lets their roots run better in the tub with only 4 plants. When I switch the Veg tent to a flower tent i will also be able to use a 5 gall pot but no room in flower tent for them thats why I am hoping these will work for Veg and then 2 per tub for total of 6 in the Flower tent. Only 6 in there will be hard as shit to manage.

Ok so these four currently are ...

SH = Sweet Hydro acquired bag seed 06-2015 good hydro bud. I wasn't given a name this is my name for it. It was good but I am now forgetting it. lol

N1g is my third flowering plant clone from my current scrog grow. I forgot I took four and lost one.. well gave up on one. No roots on this thing yet but it had popped like the other two.

So 3 SH seeds no idea on sex and 1 known female monster cropped clone from flowering first grow.

So I added 1 ml ph down to each tank and I SHOULD go test it later. Down is very sensitive to me but up takes alot to go up, just sayin..

How I do it is pop one of the net pots out and checks the nutes that way, and when I took one out WHAM!

I saw this!!!! You see it there? Hanging down? It's right in front of those imported high quality Magic tester meter instruments. (Hi Vlad) now thats all cool you say you got roots... yah i do...!! BUT it was from one of the flower plants! It has more roots than the clones I took and beat the shit out of before the plant was in flowering.
This is the one best one from clones from pre flower.

Boy this next grow is already looking interesting but I think they all kinda do...

RIP diesel ....

Title says it all the seed rotted. All the others seem ok but I am O for 2 in good seed germing. The ones I seem to really want to sprout. I am not overly bummed cause I have other stuff cookin but I was hoping that was a female so I could avoid buying the strain. That strain the seed came from was really good quality. When this plant harvests if the rest goes ok then I will have a bounty but little variety. Not the goal. Next week may be seed time. I am going to have to really step up my game with new seeds. I was going to wait til after this harvest to see if I can stream line a little more but.... I'm impatient yah really I am.. I do have the other sprouts that are early on but I hate non fem seeds. I definitely will be trying all the pre-flower tricks on them. In the beginning I was one out of four and that is why I have a single scrog running

I added 1 ML of ph down to 2 and 3 only and will retest later.
Just my opinion but I did a tank change on my flower as it seems to pound the fluids but I feel the veg tanks these babies are small they can drink these things til they get alot bigger. maybe a month? til last week of veg maybe?
I will want to boost it of course so maybe in another week I hit them with 500 ppm more same water. (based on diff tanks.. stages)

#3 PPM 500 PH 5.84 all corrected ppm's still running at 45 out of tap.

Everything looks good in here.. some seeds are going slow but are going. I will have to top soon on the 4 N1 clones as I want to try just 4 cola's taller this time. I am basing the next veg on the 6 clones and if the seeds pop to be females drop come clones before flower. The two flower clones I won't top just let grow and slight lst.

Been thinking about after this flower switching stuff up and i definitely will grab another 6 inch duct fan. I am using my ventech 440 to scrub air and vent out. it needs to just scrub all the time and the 6 inch duct fan do the venting. While i was writing this I thought of an idea for this that I can switch around now... gonna go look at it .. stay tuned...

I have been battling hardcore a pest problem on my flower plant so I was maintaining the tent but not focused on it.

readings got checked all along and tonight are

I think temp was 81/84 and humid 65/79? I'll try to rem to double check that...

Ok I took pics of all the plants but swapped them around... I wanted an empty pot in the middle tub so I could pull it without a plant to chance hurting... The little things
I realized I could put the strains in better order. I lost a sh1 seed... boy I suck at seeds. It also could be... I have only bag seed. Typically the results are not as good for germination. I may be wrong but I felt like the sh1 seeds where hermie plant seeds.. would also explain why only one or two have made it anywhere and it has taken a long time at that..
I get things too wet i realize it and still continue to do it.. move too fast on them. When I order some I need to be better.

Clones i was thinking I had issues but only from when I transferred clones to cloner pot..( they where great in the rockwool).. i have no idea what I was thinking . They are the 4 doing wonderful now. So I guess I can do "ok" with cloning.


Ok so let's get to the good stuff

N1 a-d where the clones 2 weeks into flower and lower stuff had pistils but it all burnt from the mistreatement. they are thriving now and growing daily. All new growth is lush and green.. just waiting for the right mood to dim the lights ... smoke something nice... maybe give them all a gentle wash and bath..and when they are good and relaxed ... *yawn* WHAM!!! TOP Those Ladies!!

Look at the roots on this one... she was 3 weeks in flower and still sorta looks like it. Everyhting about her at this point is unusual. No topping on these ladies they ... I have a feeling... will not need it... They may run me ragged like a teenager trying to trim them down someday.

The veGG tent looks pretty good today.!!

The plants are really liking it besides the youngest seedlings but they are still ok

Small but they will hit that point soon.

The four clones in the back are neat they are really taking off now. They technically will flower in here. I need to get a pic .. due to 2 weeks in flower some spots are still making pistils ... may cause some funkiness

These are the 3 week flower clones and they show it all over and are getting monster roots and growth considering they stunted a long time then took off.

I am going to probably do more fan swapping but currently this tent vents outside on its own 240 cfm hose.
I still will use the 440 on the other vent.. my last one will be the filter.
Thats about it for tonight!!!

The veg tent is overall very comfortable. A little hot still in there but other than the two sprouts everything looks great.

Captain's log star date 2015-823 " Note in Captains log to be more patient with all delicate sprouts and seedlings. Do not rush them into service." End captain's log. these guys don't belong in the bubbler yet.. until the roots pop out of the bottom of the rock wool thoroughly they will probably just die. I need to pull them out and check the roots. Possibly put them aside in the tent in a small tray.. I only realize it because they are growing so slow..They seem too wet. a change is needed. the bigger one in the middle tank is doing ok but it was the biggest when I transplanted them...

These three are the flower clones and they are in growth... All these in the veg tent will get a much more patient and longer veg.. their mother I pushed way too fast through veg. All the unknowns in the first grow... I have 7 known females doing well right now. (knocks on wood) this next run will be fuller and more fun to experiment! I just want the variety so I hope i have some seeds cooperate!

Ok so i did take the currently spare 240 cfm fan and pull from one side of the tent outside the room. I didn't seem to notice a big drop in tent temps. I'll have to watch that.

So I am running three tubs right now but only need two .. So next nute change I will drop one and Move the stuff to tub one and two. When I harvest and rearrange it will be reinstalled in the other area.

So I should Give a little SHOUT out to the smaller front left little treat! Started from a pineapple chunk seed non sexed. I don't give that one enough credit or talk about him/her. Started strong and has really enjoyed playing around with the big girls. Thrived so well that it's probably a he! But we'll get there! So it looks! The pcb little seedling was Germed at the same time.. go figure.. It was looking rough on that one... All do to me though not genetics I would say.

These I didn't add supports cause they are bushy .. Stocks thicker and stronger.. that extra week of flower is neat!

These two nuggets actually looked better today... Less water spray on the rock wool may be the key...

Root Porn Alert!!!! Not totally clean but not bad. Some of what you see is the 600w shining in the back round. This one is preflower clone above. I will peroxide in nute change. I think not enough bubble on these tubs as well.

Above is the one that was in flower... Even the roots look different .. already advanced and hairy... These roots where spotless.

Peaceful in there and I like it that way!

I grow in soil but was investigating an aerocloner that stated the water being misted onto the cuttings causes water to drip down the stem. This friction from the dripping water stimulates root growth so by using a root gel it defeats the purpose and it was recommended not to use rooting gels or hormones. At first I thought it was some BS that required more reading but your statement might confirm that the root gel might be the issue. Have you tried doing clones without the gel, just cutting and placing in the cloner? Just curious.

Ok so now that you mention it I thought about it and yes that could be an issue but................ I also scraped all the sides and put the gel at least up to that point... So it could be one of two.. New razor and alcohol was used to clean. I did feel odd using it only because i wondered how good it would stay on the roots with all that bubbled water on them.
Next time I had already figured I would forgo the gel because a lot of people have done it with success here with out. But most say it will take longer. That is ok for me as long as they don't like calcify like mine did. I was very lucky they wanted to survive and that I cut the stems longer for the cloner.

I would not be a great test group really overall on the first run.. new gear..new grower...etc.. but thanks to you I will be paying attention to those things in a few weeks when I get the next batch of clones and fire up the cloner again. Possibly try some with and without.

Just need to finish up this knowledge enhancing first grow.

I'm with you on the info overload. I've helped friends grow but I'm on my own on this one. I did purchase that Aerocloner and I will be doing clones this weekend. I'm going to just use Ph water and nothing else, 45 degree cut, scrape and in the cloner. I will let you know how it goes.

I was told to add something... doesn't need to be much ( as the guy gave me sample of GH root enhancer.) But he did say in the future to just use like 100 ppm nutes... or a tiny but less... He said the plant has been eating well and it won't like nothing but the water... will help it try to get nutes from base rather than eat it's leaves... thus roots will want to sprout faster.... Almost like it makes sense.. not sure...

PC A I mentioned yesterday is neat for me to see.. the DWC grow I am doing the appearance of the leaves is a lot different. And in the last tank the two sprouts look good today and one is another pineapple chunk the other is unknown but was decent bud.

They really like the bamboo rods.. just leaning against them made them seem to fluff out more.

When to top when to top... the goal is 4 cola's on each growing tall.. so 2 tops on these ones..
