Yup once you have the technique down it should be easy to preserve a goodie. I do foresee me running out of space because I'm trying to keep too many moms

Generally you can flip pretty quick. Just let them get as big as you want then 12/12.
I smoked a blue berry bud few years ago and the guy said the mother of the blueberry was liek 35 years old or something dumb on mother lolI always heard if you take clones of clones forever eventually the plants kind of fades in potency. But that was just what i heard on the street. Not sure. Good question.

Yeah I'l let you know once I figured it out too...lol...only ever ran one cut before and I just vegged it out to the same size as my regular plants then flipped it. Seemed fine.
I dunno I really can’t say yes or no as un experienced in that department .

You should be able to cut clones from clones for many years and not lose anything. Them Chemdogs are all clone only and going strong since 1991.
I can’t see why there would be degradation, it’s perpetually the same plant, it just thinks it’s had it’s arm chopped off and regrow a million times. No biggie right? It’s just a flesh wound!

The original mother may grow weak over time but clones taken should be strong.
Would be mother growing weak cause degradation in the quality of end clones? As opposed to when the mother was young strong and hearty?
If I were running a mother, I think I’d be taking a healthy clone every once in a while with the purpose to replace the Christmas tree sized mother. Sure you would start off in a small container, then she would root boundnd and you’d have to up pot,etc. At some point it seems like space issues would dictate the mother gets a clone pulled and then you flower her and the process starts over.

Clones taken after the mother degrades would show the same thing. It happened to the original Chemdog 91. Dinafem got lucky and got some decent clones from her for their Dinachem. But if you take cuttings from plants that will be flowered then make clones from the clones it should go for years.
