Hey Penny. Sorry to just be hearing about your surgery but really glad it went well, congrats. I haven't been following anyone's journal but my own lately because I have been preoccupied with my own health issues. I am scheduled to have my prostate removed on Aug 14th. :oops: I guess we are getting to that age where things start failing... Glad to see you back buddy.

Thanks, guys. I should be ok. My dad had it about my age and he is 85 now. I tell people my father has given me two things in my life; a bald head and now prostate cancer, lol. My ex-sister-in-law is a nurse at the big new hospital here so she has me hooked up with a good surgeon so I feel pretty lucky. Not much I can do other than stay positive and hope for the best.
 
It's a much simpler surgery than it used to be I hear. A guy in my office had his taken out, all done with robot arms!

Yes, there is open, laparoscopic and robotic laparoscopic. If I wanted the robotic laparoscopic I would have had to go to Toronto but they say that the technique used is not nearly as important as the skill of the surgeon and I really trust my surgeon and he does simply laparoscopic. Health wise I have been really lucky till now because I’m 59 and I don’t have high blood pressure or diabetes or heart trouble or anything like that so I am kind of due for something major. Funny thing is they found it because of my PSA but I feel perfectly normal or as normal feeling as I get, lol.

Yes, when I joined this site I didn't realize it was a medical grow site so I expected a bunch of young partiers not old ailing folks like me, lol. Thanks for the well wishes!
