Those are cloth are they not ? I need to stick to plastic pots. I have some 20gallon softies, I know Geo Pots are thicker and heavy duty so they are the best ones for soft pots or air pots.

I have 2 in my cart right now, By tomorrow I should have enough to buy a couple. I also need to buy some saucers and they come in a 5 pack. Those alone are $70.00 and the pots are $50.00 each so $170 for 2 pots and the saucers , but next order after this one will only be for 2 more pots which makes it easier to buy

OK I have a decision to make. I need to drop some seeds and I am not sure what to run with them. I am looking at Bruce Banger or 79Xmas Bud. I would like to try both. The BB seeds are fems and the Xmas Bud seeds are regs. I am still a little nervous about trying regs. and sexing them but I have you fine folks to help so I think I will try it. I am leaning towards the Xmas Bud, I want to try it and I would like to know how they grow so I can grow a couple out this coming summer for the Holidays next year. I have to thank my buddy that sent them to me , Thank You
The 79’ Xmas Bud was a very nice indica and definetly has those pine terps. Mine wasn’t a heavy yielder though.

How many should I drop so I know I have a Female ? I really want to grow one before the spring grow so I know how they grow etc. I will grow two of them this summer so I have them for the Holidays. I beet it knocks my ass OUT. even some Sativas knock me out. I have to take my caps around 6 so I can stay awake till 8:30, 9:00. Last night I was out before 8:00 because I took them around 4:30. It seems 2 and1/2 hours after taking them they get Real Relaxing and put me to sleep.

That's a tough question and honestly I'm not sure what to say. Will you be running it in your tent or will the Xmas bud end up with the haze room when you flip it?
Mine was very close to 50/50 Female to male ratio. Do you have the seeds from an open pollination or the IBL that CSI worked?

Yes, here's the description Humboldt has where they were picked up from:
1979 Xmas Bud IBL
Open pollinated reproduction of the pure ’79 Xmas Bud from the east coast. A pure Indica style plant that grows like a Christmas Tree and smells of Pinene & Terpinolene. Extremely Stable phenotypically. Always keep an eye out for the occasional hermaphrodite as these are open pollinated for preservation purposes and not selected seeds. Originally shared by NdNguy.
8-9 week flowering times.

They are from the IBL that CSI . A Good buddy sent them to me. I think I will soak 2 and hope for 1 female.

I really only want 2 Carnival and 1 other and I have decided I will run 1 of those Xmas buds. I will need help sexting them. Oh yeah I will be using the 5x5 tent for these
The Open pollination seeds produce roughly 20% mutants. He gave those out as freebies. He also work an ibl line to exclude the mutants. The mutants are pretty cool and yield about the same as the normal plants.

Have you grown CSIs Pine Tar Kush or know much about it? I bought a pack of IBL regular seeds from them. I know it's not Tom Hill's PTK but is supposed to be close it.

I have 3 seeds of Nspectas PTK ibl but haven’t run any yet. Here’s a couple of picks of the Xmas Bud.
You can see the serrations and super long petioles of the mutants. The 3rd pic is a normal Xmas Bud. I would give them a longer than normal veg to increase the yield.

Man I am glad we have someone who has grown it before. Just like Penny suggesting a longer veg time for a better yield. That's the kind of stuff that is So helpful.
What do you think Penny 8 weeks veg or longer ? As soon as I have my wife digs out the seeds it will be 2 Carnival and 1 Christmas Tree , I am going to drop 2 seeds of the Xmas Bud and hope for a female. If not I will drop another one, I think they are both 9 week strains

I’d go at least 8 weeks veg if you have room. It’s a highly sought after strain but just doesn’t yield big.

I like to veg longer anyway get em nice and bushy. I will be using 10 gallon pots so they can have all the room they want
