Hey @Duggan, a quick question what would you think of theses trichomes? End of week 11 flower, unknown strain. Dwc under led. And or anyone with experience, would like thoughts on chop time

Looks like a good amt of amber in there, I would say she’s ready to come down. Assuming you want more of a high than couch lock effect, just my 2 cents anyways. Looking good.

Hey Scotty....hows all Mr? The first pic shows things the best. No..IMO there are way too many clear heads visible and I see zero amber heads. I would wait...but thats just me. You need to be seeing cloudy/milky gland heads...sorry , but i don't see any Amber. lets see a bud pic or two as well, if you can. Cheers.

I have a all in one from Sun Systems the ballast is part of the light, plug& play.temps stay moderate and the unit isn't hot to the touch I have a 6”
440 drawing out hot air from the top a isolating tower fan and 2 6” clip on fans to moveair around inside the closet
average temperature 75-78 at the canopy with light on but that’s adjustable to a extent. With ac or heat, added it’s easy to stay within the proper range for grower.

Well... okay, you asked for it bud photo @Duggan and as to how I am doing pretty well. Just sipping on coffe with a teaspoon of coconut oil per cup. Enjoying my Saturday, reading. Unlike the stress of yesterday trying to photograph the buds. Was on the verge of destroying my crappy clip on XD

I run a 315 too and the cmh usually has the ballast attached to the fixture. They don’t run that hot really. I love the cmh I want to get some qb’s soon but the cmh made me some really nice buds this last round. Very happy

thanks bud im going to be buying new lights for my 5x5 and im looking at everything of course money figures into it my son recently bought some sun system 315 he really likes them says the penetration vastly exceeds the led he had in there heat is a big thing for my house thanks for the info sounds like it could work have a good one!

thanks shot my son tells me there not as hot as an led light and he says he has more frost since he put those in there ive got a 5x5 so im thinking four of them would rock that tent to the max.

Four of them in a 5x5 would be a tight fit but possible as long as you can keep heat in check. I think they have 500 watt cmh fixtures now and I know they have the dual bulb 630 fixtures as well. I can definitely agree that the trichome production with the cmh is serious.

Trichome coverage is serious on this one, you can barely see any green just crust of trichomes.

Lottsa talk about DE CMH and other H.I.D. lights. Ya, these newer HID fixtures have the ballast enclosed within the fixture , itself. Unless lack of heat is an issue , then i don't like the idea much. When i used to run HIDs of different sizes ei, 400 HPS , 100HPS, 400 CMH and 1000 CMH , i always had the ballasts away from the reflectors and the canopy...wow , the heat would have been way too high. I realize that these newer ones have digital ballasts , but don't they still get very hot...they must?..

Try out a double first it may b all that’s needed I’ve been surprised by the reach of a single lights so far. that’s a closet I grow in 4’x8’ by 7’ high. since I only grow for me
and a family member I have no need to up my game I grow enough to b able to give som to the homeless vets sometimes. But with this virus shit going on I best

hey shot I saw that bud before vey nice looks tasty af im thinking if your getting frost like that why would you change to the qb your probably rite about heat I was also looking at the budget lights to ive got some time to watch and learn which would be best for my needs thanks for your input!

Not bad Duggan atleast in my case anyway.
I don’t run it in the summer I prefer natural sun light it’s the best. It’s a three season
grow room I could make it all year long if I wanted to spend the extra bucks on a portable AC unit maybe in the future I will but for now this working fine for me.

oops, noticed I accidentally quoted someone else...Yeah I wanted that energy high. And seeing how last weeks samples turned out good. Was like why not? And I needs the two air stones that plant was using so I can plant these two XD
